  1. I'm still waiting for this to happen and if it does that will definitely kill us a program as yall will take some of our guys that live in the Point Blank area.
  2. I would wait to see how next month plays out first.
  3. Exactly lol... He was there when Barbay was "run off" from Coldspring.
  4. That's right idk how I forgot about him.
  5. Who was this particular coach in question?
  6. If he's still available then they need to have him on top of the list if Coldspring becomes open. That's why if we bring someone like that in we would definitely get a few transfers back. I'm expecting if Coach Day does leave it will be right when the school year is over with.
  7. I have some classmates or guys that I went to school with that are current coordinators that would be perfect for this job. One is at West Fork right now that comes to mind but I doubt he'll want it since he played for Shepherd but you never know.
  8. I hope so. The fans in Coldspring really didn't "approve" of this hire at all so hopefully he can move back to greener pastures. It's going to take a special kind of hire to turn this ship around and get us in the right direction. We should start looking for schools with head coaches/coordinators with decent success at schools further away or pull from a 5A/6A school in the Greater Houston area that is looking for a start but have to come with the understanding that there will be obstacles to overcome.
  9. [Hidden Content] This is a current bond proposal for this month but it doesn't have any information about the high school itself which is a shame but it's great for areas.
  10. This has been going on for years even before Barbay was there. He was hired in my Senior year and he was left with a budget way messed up than what it is now.
  11. As far as I know they have. Shepherd to my knowledge used to have 2 high schools before merging into one.
  12. I'll at least give us 3 wins that's it and only because the jv was somewhat competitive last season and some of those guys will be on varsity this season.
  13. We don't have Kelly on the schedule this time. It's Liberty, Shepherd, Crockett and Kountze and me personally I only see wins against Tarkington, Kountze and Buna (although I agree with you about the Cougars they should have beaten us last season).
  14. Ours got updated as far as scrimmages goes. We didn't have that info at first but we will scrimmage Teague and LCM.
  15. I was going to mention that but they haven't played each other in quite sometime. I'm sure Hardin will be back on the schedule in the near future.
  16. Mostly through the mid-late 90s up until '01 I believe.
  17. Yes... I was at the game posting updates on here and to me for all of the games of the series especially at least the ones I've seen this was the very best game bar none.
  18. One thing I always wanted to know: Who is Tarkington's true rival? (I don't think that Cleveland has ever considered them as rivals.)
  19. Same could have been said when the shoe was on the other foot when we were doing all the winning in the series.
  20. @CDub86 Just saw that we play y'all for our first game in district for Homecoming... Very interesting.
  21. I remember that district as well. Coldspring was mainly running through that district and any district for the most part in the 90s. That's when everyone was scared to play us. I also remember Trinity being in some of those districts as well as they were pretty good in basketball at the time.
  22. Cleveland in basketball for sure. As far as Splendora goes it's for football but they would definitely get bounced out early in seasons they when to the playoffs. In those days Barbers Hill, Huffman and Liberty ran the district on a consistent basis followed by Cleveland and Splendora. The rest of us (outside of us in basketball) were bottom dwellers.
  23. Me too plus Barbers Hill and Huffman as well.
  24. Definitely was him... I was on the freshman team back then before moving back to Coldspring. His youngest son Seth (I think he's Kirbyville's head coach or whatever was my QB back then).
