Silsbee is always overrated, WOS is no where close to where they were under Hooks and Thompson, and PAM is so poorly coached(maybe why they folded the tent this past season). None of those teams will get you ready for the tough district they are in
I see they have WOS and Silsbee. I guess they will try and get LCM, Lumberton, or United for the other
and we wonder why they can’t compete!
n
Out of the schools in the region who were available, which team do you wish they put on the schedule?

At least no one is dealing with Lufkin district. Lufkin in the district with Cleburne!

Like I said coaches have unofficially known for about a month.
This last month was just the UIL double checking things before they released it ti the public.
No they haven’t “unofficially known”. All they “know” is what has been put out through different publications mock alignments. They have an “idea” and prepare for different scenarios.

then why are coaches sending out messages looking for week 1 or 2 or 3 games
Almost every team will have week 1, 2 and 3 non-district games. They all try to fill a schedule. If you wait till after the new alignment you will be stuck with no games or driving a long ways.

As do I.
As you stated, should be "a great day for Dayton". Looking forward them competing for Championships in the near future. The current upcoming groups should set the table well. Will be no excuses for the next regime.

I know this particular situation well.

A great day in Bronco Land.
Will definitely be great for those who did not like a disciplined program. Only one way to go as far as discipline and it is not "up".

Per Stepp Coach Ware was hired to be the next HC at Aldine MacArthur where he an alum of…. Pending board approval. Congrats to Coach Ware
Should be interesting. He is one of the great players of Macarthur during the mid-late 1980s. The alumni base will be excited to have him as the HC.

According to some (one) they were supposed to be a playoff team this year.
Was not me that said that.

I thought Dayton was on the verge of being dominant again.
Where did I read that?
Whomever takes over will have a good group to work with. Will be a good situation for the next coach. Nothing changed on that front. Also, no one ever used the word “dominant”, you made that up.

Tell me you're not acting like gilmer harmony is an under .500 all time team like almost every other school in this area... wrong.
I also don't believe Gilmer harmony has a bunch of straight duds like portrayed neither.
Harmony absolutely and unequivocally "does not have better athletes than OF".

Probably easier to achieve at gilmer harmony too. I'd say that's a decent pool of athletes they're consistently good mainly even before him
There are absolutely and unequivocally “not” better athletes at Harmony.

I wish your son the best of luck in his new spread offense, but passing on Jenkins, who did what he did in Harmony in year 1, will be a legendary mistake in the coming years. Orangefield had a chance, but let the Little League Coaches of America get in the way of making a decision that could've advanced the program long term. They will reap what they've sown.
I do agree with you on the job Jenkins did at Harmony but that doesn’t mean the new OF coach that they are hiring will not be successful. You could probably see Breaux sticking around OF longer than Jenkins. No reason to throw dirt on the grave of OF.

Or............ maybe they don't give a rats buttocks about Franklin, like me.
You don't see me getting angry about you not liking certain offenses but it really gets under your skin about what offenses I do or do not prefer. God gave us each our own brain so we could think for ourselves and form our own ideals, a gift that should be appreciated and not taken for granted. I was around your style of offensive play for about 15 years and at one time I loved it but now I don't. It's no big deal to me what you think.
Defends his right to "think for himself and form his own ideals", does not like it when others "think for themselves and express their own ideals".
Really, just doesn't like it when someone points out the fallacy and inconsistency of their posts.

Not talking about Franklin, this is an Orangefield thread.
So, which teams is it good to "evolve as a team"? by passing more? Maybe OF wants to "evolve as a team" like "Franklin "evolved as a team", Without passing more.

I here some people say Slot-T teams lack QBs and receivers so they have to stay in that style of offense. You'll never develop QBs and WRs if you don't pass the ball . It doesn't hurt to evolve as a team or at least try. Best of luck to the Bobcats
Glad Franklin has not "evolved as a team".

Will 4A D2 region 3 get Carthage? Some mocks say yes… others say no. We will see
I would be surprised if they go to Region 3. If they do, they are going to pull a whole new district and teams with them. I think the SETX 4A opt ups ended the chances for Carthage to come south.

You are being silly now!
Understood. You are "being silly" if you believe a team that went to the playoffs and lost to FBM 21-19 was not competitive. If they scored 4 more points against FBM would they have been "competitive"?
Were they "4 points" away from being "technically competitive"?

I disagree I don't call a 4th place finish competitive
OK. PNG was the only competitive team in the district.
