Yeah well, if you've never coached or understand all of the circumstances around a program, it’s easy to point a finger and say, “It’s the coach!” Some folks are even asking for the Silsbee coach to be let go after the Bellville beat down. He’s 25-2 in the last 2 seasons for goodness sake! Freakin idiots.

    Agree X 10

It is what it is. Make questionable calls like running the same plays over and over that aren't working. We have seen them twice in the last 2 years. It could be that he has still got to out the whole system in place.

You dont know what you are talking about. You have no clue as to what is going on that influences the coach's decisions. Jasper has a great coaching staff.

This game has intrigued me... only team this season to beat Jasper convincingly was Franklin. Jasper had one first down at half time. Franklin was up 17-0 at half. The score was 29-8 with a minute left in the game when Jasper scored again. It just so happens that now they are playing another Slot-T team with a good defense. If I'm correct Jaspers big boy on the line is out for the year but played against Franklin which could hurt Jasper. Jasper has some great athletes but the achilles hill for them is coaching imo.

You are completely out of your mind of you think there is a coaching deficiency at Jasper.

Yea 9 time and defending state champ Carthage has probably never played the likes of players Bellville has.

Carthage is definitely the favorite to win the Championship for this year and the next two years. However, they do not have a matchup for 99 on BV. It might not matter, but it will be advantage BV DL vs Carthage OL.

As will #25 #55 #6 #34 #11 #7 and #2 just to name a few.  Bellville’s defense is a well oiled and disciplined.  They are locked in as a whole team and they are on a mission!!

No doubt on the BV defense but Carthage will have similar to the players other than #99. The mismatch that 99 creates, sets the table for the others.

Lol… Pleasant Grove won a couple of years ago, but they also threw the ball…. Bellville can’t.

Liberty Hill does well until they run into a decent defense. That’s the problem with being a one-trick pony.

A decent coaching staff with some talent on defense will shut a slot t team down. That wasn’t Silsbee, and I don’t think Jasper can do it either.

I love the slot t. It allows mediocre athletes to compete. It just has its limitations.

To hear y’all talk, Aledo, Carthage, and North Shore will be switching to the slot t now that they’ve finally seen its potential via Bellville, lol.

So Silsbee lacks a “decent coaching staff” and “talent on defense”?

How about Franklin? How do they do?

99 is a man among boys but 72, 54, and 71 are outstanding 72 has 17 sacks and tackles for loss. Not many D linemen can say that. 54 is not far behind him in that category. If Carthage makes it that far. Surratt will scheme for him.

No doubt. Carthage got some good linemen also. Especially Kash.

Show us on the doll where the Slot T touched you… or Bellville for that matter 😂😂 No one is saying Bellville reinvented anything I don’t understand it just seems like you want the slot t offense not to work or something lol you repeatedly are negative about it.

And never says anything about the hundreds of spread teams that fail.

Lol… Silsbee’s defense has been questionable all year. To my knowledge, there’s not a single D1 caliber player on the Tiger defense. They didn’t get stops, but the important thing is that their offense never got off of the bus… the fact that Silsbee’s fans cheered when the backup qb went in should tell you all that you need to know.

Silsbee got their butts kicked… they couldn’t stop the run and the offense was horrible… who cares? But the fact remains that somebody with a few studs on defense and a coaching staff will  end the Brahmas’ charade.

All you have to do is stop the run… Silsbee didn’t. But it can be done-it always gets done eventually.

To pretend that suddenly Bellville reinvented the game is laughable.  Make sure to drop back by when they lose, ok?

lol, “always gets done”. Except when the teams win the State Championship.

Carthage D line is the best in 4A  and can stop Belleville running attack. Not saying if they meet that Belleville can’t beat a very young Dawg team, but they better be able to throw the ball.

Carthage does not have an equivalent to 99 for Bellville. Carthage will be the favorite until someone beats them but 99 will be a problem for Carthage.

First off, Silsbee didn’t stop the run… and I wasn’t sure that they were going to. What surprised me was how bad the Silsbee offense played. Feel free to think that the Bellville defense is impenetrable. Qb play was terrible, playcalling was abysmal, and the team pretty much just quit.

I think Bellville wins next week against Jasper, but will run into a coaching staff that can stop the slot…

Because… face it. If the slot was an effective, we’d be watching it on tv all day today and tomorrow. It’s a gimmick, it worked to a “T” last night, but it will get exposed for what it is in the very near future.

"Silsbee didn't stop the run"? You said all they need to do was "stack the box" with "8", Silsbee put 11 in the box and still couldn't stop it. Why? Do the Silsbee coaches "not know what you know"? All 13 coaching staffs Bellville has faced do "not know what you know"?

What play do you think Silsbee should have called on offense? Which play did they not call that would have worked? Would love for you to point to the example that Bellville defense is not "impenetrable".

Jasper has already faced a Slot T team once this year and were unable to find an answer, maybe they will do better this time (assuming Belville is not as good as the other Slot T team).

Comical to see you double down on your takes in the face of being completely wrong.

Bellville had that slot t clicking tonight and Silsbee had no answers on D.

What surprised me was how bad Silsbee’s offense looked. Most throws just weren’t catchable by the WRs. I don’t know if it was nerves, an injury, good defense, or a combo-but there were no traces of life from the offense. Playcalling was suspect, etc…

I’m guessing somebody will stop that Bellville offense before they collect rings, but it was doing its thing tonight, for sure.

Which is surprising, considering you said all Silsbee needed to do was stack the box. Silsbee frequently had 11 in the box could not stop BV 5 "5 plays". I wonder if there is more stopping the offense than "stacking the box"?

The problem with the Silsbee offense was that they were completely outmanned. Silsbee had no answer for 99 who completely upended the Silsbee OL. Through his destruction the rest of the BV defense had it their way. Had nothing to do with "playcalling", there were no plays to call that were going to stop the demolition.
