  1. Some of my "sports endeavors" have included beatings for DV. Not sure how Huffman is my "home town" when I have not been there in 30 years. Just an operating name for SETX forums.
  2. Especially at HD. 15 year olds run "5.5-6.0" 40s, while the 18 year olds push "5.0" 40s.
  3. You will need to find something else to bother me. Have not been to Huffman in 30 years. If they go 0-10 or 10-0 it would mean little to me. I have had my own sports endeavors to keep me busy.
  4. I try to keep delusion out of the forum by providing critical reality checks. This is a particularly rampant issue in the low talent corners of SETX such as HD, DV, and the like as they are able to play each other back and forth (perhaps even get a guaranteed win against fodder such as Sabine Pass/ Burkeville) accumulating wins among each other. The next manifestation of said delusion comes in the way of declarative posts how they will "fight", "work hard", "no quit", "hit the in the mouth", "four horsemen", "top RB tandem in the state", etc. In the end they are donkey punched back to the same old malaise with the coaches quitting or catching the first train out. They are actually very fortunate to have me around.
  5. You are a true "Pirate Champion" and your nobility is to be commended. Unfortunately, once the district beatings commence there will be no evidence of the qualities and characteristics that you have identified. DV will once again resume its true form as a coaching graveyard/automatic win for opponents.
  6. Will be a warmup track meet for SA. Should provide critical insight into the quality of the sprint relay team for SA in the Spring.
  7. Both are historically horrible and very slow. In regards to DV, they will be run off the field soon enough in district. They may be able to make a run at "not being last in the district" due to HD being in the district.
  8. Dont underestimate Kountze. Kountze is renowned as one of the more terrible programs of SETX and has show that they can lose to "any" and "everybody". Will be interesting to see if HD can squeak out another win before the end of the their season at the start of district play. This match is a toss up.
  9. LOL, beating Acadiana "Home School" and HD indicative of "something to watch". Well done WH. Burkeville will assuredly provide at least one more win.
  10. "Hand's down", "one of the best players in district". LOL. HD does not have a single player that could start for San Augustine.
  11. It also has a number of "trailer parks".
  12. Hopefully the mighty Sabine Pass will not have "too many horses" for HD. It is certain that every team in the district will certainly have "too many horses".
  13. For clarification: "Not good growth" would consist of growth that could unseat New Caney as the "Trailer Park Capital of the World".
  14. How many playoff games did they win between them? Also, where are they now?
  15. Could not agree more. The district would consist of teams such as Burkeville, WH, Sabine Pass, etc. HD would still be defeated in the irst round of the playoffs in D2.
  16. HD has had many "District Championships". As stated, HD has enjoyed the single weakest conglomeration of similar schools in the region that are not found anywhere else in the state. This network has historically enabled HD to have a district that they can "win". The historic conglomerate currently is comprised throughout the HD pre-district schedule. As throughout recent memory including the "District Championship" 3 years ago, HD is "donkey punched" in the playoffs each year that they have been able to "win the district".
  17. I am fairly certain that 43 wins is NOT a national record for wins. I would concur that HD has won a State Championship in their history (as Harvard has won college football National Championships). What is certain is that HD is in their current classification according to the rules which all teams compete. HD "dominance" is readily apparent through their playoff success over the last decades which includes an impressive run of futility. It is well documented that HD has been able to maintain a measure of "dominance" over the likes of WH, Burkeville, Deweyville, other local bottom feeders which has enabled HD to produce winning records despite their yearly first round exits. Now that HD has been forced out of the historic weak district and into a district with normal talent levels, HD has been relegated to their rightful position. This has been evidenced by HD's first round exits over the years by any team that HD has faced. In regards to HD "4.5s", we will see it very soon in district. In regards to HD winning 70-6 and 50-0, these will be the beatings HD will be receiving in a few weeks.
  18. I agree that WH hasn't had a good team in years. However, HD also "hasn't had a good team in years". Both are among the slowest schools we will be able to find in Texas. It is fortunate that these low end programs are close enough together that they can maintain some competitive structure between each other on a year in, year out basis. Would be terrible if they were forced to play a schedule of typical talent levels as seen across HD's current district and throughout the state.
  19. Will be interesting to see which team is slower. Hopefully HD can get a couple of wins before the season is over at District. This one is a toss up.
