  1. I hope I’m wrong, but history suggests otherwise. Afghanistan has outlasted 3 world powers - Great Britain, Soviet Union, United States. Their GDP? $18 Billion. Iran GDP? $356.5 Billion. They ain’t backing down.
  2. Yeah, we’ll have better luck killing their kids. Those folk over there have long memories. They celebrate battles from the 7th and 8th centuries the way we celebrate the 4th of July. Trump has opened a door he won’t be able to shut. Not on his terms, anyway.
  3. Judicial review, as first used in Marbury vs Madison in 1803.
  4. I submit this for your consideration. Judicial review dates to 1803 and Marbury vs Madison. [Hidden Content]
  5. Then why have a Supreme Court. Does the Constitution limit them to interpreting only within the context of the world as it existed in 1789?
  6. What does “as intended” mean? The Constitution was written as a document whose interpretation could fit the context of changing times, as the Founders knew that 1976 or 2026 would be unimaginably different than their day. They were men of immense foresight.
  7. I’d like a citation on the 11 bombs. This “war” is unnecessary. Netanyahu has played us vis a vis our Oresident.
  8. Not to me. And the beat goes on…
  9. Yes, it does have a big cost. Question is, is the risk commensurate? We were in no more danger two weeks ago than we were the day before we invaded Iraq.
  10. That’s someone who likes to watch themselves post.
  11. Duh…
  12. You forgot 165 dead school children.
  13. People at the apex of any society have access to excellent care.
  14. What the heck is a “left” company? Do you not see how screwed up it is that politicize the marketplace? Companies are in business to make a profit, not casts vote.
  15. You need to let the president in on it. [Hidden Content]
  16. I know you are, but what am I?
  17. Definition of cult, Merriam Webster: a group (as an organization or religious sect) with tenets and practices regarded as coercive, insular, or dangerous. Trump, as President, threatens most anyone who crosses him (coercive), advocates nationalistic economic, social, and foreign relations policies (insular) and has us in a war with no clear objective (dangerous). Still, his acolytes (MAGA) follow him devoutly. So yeah, I’d say that’s pretty close to a cult.
  18. But, what are you learning, and more importantly from whom are you learning it from?
  19. You’re about to wear that trope out.
  20. $3.89 for premium in Corsicana today. Inflation isn’t going to wait for the war to end.
