I like percentages, legitimate research, not anecdotal evidence posing as truth. If one death of a citizen of the U S dying at the hands of an illegal alien is too many, then one death at the hands of mistaken prosecution is reason enough to justify eliminating the death penalty.

You can’t deny the conservative movement’s purge of scientists from the government and elimination of research funds to “liberal” universities. If you endorse that kind of governance you have to believe in one of the various conspiracy theories connecting science and free thought to elitist world domination. The advances of a modern society are not achieved by the exponential halving of knowledge. It comes from the exponential doubling of knowledge. Try to mess with that societal law and you risk a whole raft of unintended (potentially catastrophic) consequences.

You can’t imagine what voter intimidation is like because you are white and you don’t like history that makes you uncomfortable. ICE is profiling and harassing brown skinned people. That’s the real objective of the immigrant scare. It’s not about the illegals. It’s intimidating the legal ones through harassment.
