  1. He told his FCC chair to punish a news outlet for reporting things he didn’t like. He pardons lawbreakers who say what he likes. “Free speech for me, none for thee.” That’s an autocracy, not a democracy. Does that clarify my point any at all? Do I have to give a link to me? I don’t want to break any rules.
  2. I Another [Hidden Content] Need more?
  3. Here you go, wise ask. This is the only link referencing the charge I could find from a legit news source. The administration was trying to get Zuckerberg to do something about misinformation, not suppressing the truth. [Hidden Content]
  4. Why? The reports are in the public square. Not in a dark corner like Breitbart. Read the freaking news. Not just the opinions on the news.
  5. If it walks like a duck and wicks like a duck… He is Brendan Carr’s boss, and he readily fires bosses who don’t do as he “hopes”, or who disagree with him. The First Anendment is the real issue here. He wants a news organization fined for airing positions he disagrees with. Why not comment on some of that?
  6. That’s wonderful. I’m happy for both of you. How old is he?
  7. Donald Trump ordered the FCC to sanction CBS for two segments about Ukraine and Greenland Sunday night. I saw the Zelenskyy segment. Looked like journalism to me. If any of you support this move, how can you call yourself Americans. It is a blatant affront to the First Amendment. The Weasel cries like a baby when people complain about what his supporters say or do citing free speech. He pardoned hundreds for their “expression” of free speech on Jan. 6. If someone says something he doesn’t like he acts more like Putin than he does an American President. Can’t you see the kind of country he wants to try and create? It’s certainly NOT a democracy.
  8. Anyone old enough to really remember the conditions are dead. Someone born in 1930 will turn 95 this year. Then you have to dis the guy about his perception of old people. Classy, dude.
  9. The more I think about it the more bizarre it becomes. Donald Trump spent his first term claiming any attempts to hold him or his peeps accountable were illegal. His Presidential administration has had more criminal indictments and convictions by far than any other in history. To claim that all of the people (deep state bogeyman) were coming after him is loser talk. He hasn’t the courage to face the charges because he knows he’s a chiseler and a coward. This is the easiest one to argue I’ve come across yet if you consider the facts, which isn’t too prevalent on this blog.
  10. Man, you oughtta choke on that one. Trump has fired or threatened elected officials and DOJ employees who held him accountable. If he believed in accountability and transparency, he would have told them from the get go to bring it on. The man is a human weasel.
  11. What does that have to do with Wharton?
  12. I always hope for the best. I hope he succeeds for the sake of our country. I just don’t see it happening if he stays on the present course. Kind of like climate change. 90%+ of professional economists say his tariff plan is bonkers, yet the faithful deny them as crazy.
  13. An afterthought: Breitbart didn’t mention how many of those Wharton billionaires had generational wealth backing them going in and connecting them coming out. No different than Harvard. I’d bet dollars to donuts the the percentage of those Wharton billionaires who are self made is tiny. Gates, Jobs, Dell never got near Wharton. They never even got undergraduate degrees. Always Breitbart. No other points of view.
  14. His daddy bought his entrance to Wharton. He barely passed. Daddy probably bought that too. All that crap Breitbart cited was written before globalization. The second largest economy on the world stage can starve its people to punish its economic rivals. That did not exist before the ‘80’s. China is going to stick it in Trump (and by extension us) and twist. A country that doesn’t have to care for its peoples’ rights can withstand a lot of pain.
  15. I take that as a yes. I don’t practice dark arts.
  16. Do you have an altar to Trump in your home? He seems infallible to you. The bond markets rattled him bad because him and his cracked economic team didn’t see that one coming. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. Spitballer.
  17. An effective Department of Education would help steer schools towards a two tiered system putting emphasis on vocational skills training on equal footing with college skills training.
  18. Ol’ whatabout chiming in again. What about now?
  19. Are you serious? Liberal policies did not create or abuse Credit Default Swaps. Nor did they have anything to do with bundling no doc subprime loans and securitizing them. That was Wall Street greed and Bush era banking and securities deregulations.
  20. I knew it wasn’t American lives you were talking about.
  21. I appreciate your perspective. My concern is that we’ve never had a president upset a healthy economy in such fashion. A self inflicted recession is unheard of. The consequences can’t be known, but odds are they won’t be good.
  22. What lives might those be? He aggravated the last crisis so badly over a million of us died. Led the world in deaths. Trump just wants to be number one at everything, mismanaged or not.
  23. That’s a good strategy for a 50 year old. Not everyone is 50. Doesn’t work so well for a 70 year old. We made contributions for 40 years. Now we have to take mandatory DISTRIBUTIONS. Your myopia is showing.
