1. Bears smell playoffs (wonder if it smells as sweet as honey?). Bears win 30-18

When will you guys learn JKB knows what he's talking about stangs will keep rolling, right over, BC and yes Silsbee,  I love how when I read threads now, fans aren't saying Silsbee will win but are saying Silsbee won't be shut-out lol. Mustangs #1 Defense in the State
The comments from the Silsbee fans on here have always been respectfull to The WOS team. No need for Disrespect in return by the WOS fans. Silsbee is not BC, Buna or OF. Silsbee took care of these teams plenty easy enough With room to spare.  This game will happen.  And Im sure it will be a packed stadium. There will be people from all around coming to see this game. I have already heard many people not within these two schools.  Saying they were coming to see this game. Both teams should be proud of that.  Good luck to the two teams. and I prey everyone comes out of this game injury free. And ready to make their playoff runs complete and healthy.
It should be the game of the regular season..ranking it ahead of Nederland-Vidor because it is later in the season and obviously for all the marbles. Should be a great game. I think Tiger fans respect us and we do them. I kinda dislike comparing this team on paper to the 77 team. Honestly, we were a big school and probably facing better competition but you have to take into consideration that most of these kids on this team play both ways. Talent wise this may be a slightly better team on defense overall. We'll see if we get the same results.
WOS Will represent SE TEXAS well . And they do have one heck of a Defence. I believe Silsbee will do well in the playoffs as well. I really wanted another shot at Huffman But it Dont Look like we are gona get it. First thing is everybody stay healthy.  Yooo Hoooo Lets Go 21 3A
I can assure Tiger fans that once the playoffs start..Mustang fans will be rooting for you. I'd be surprised if the Tigers don't at least go two or more deep.
 3. Respect my OF friends but I just think that Buna take it in a close one 21-18
 4. Fact is everything we have done this season means nothing in the playoffs, we made quarters last year and got beat by an outstanding team in Coldspring. Are we better this year, overall I'd say yes both offensively and defensively. Is Coldspring better? We'll see if we meet them (but IMO I don't think they have the same firepower). Our kids and our coaches have worked hard to get where we are. I think we still have that bitter taste in our mouths from last season. Don't know who we will play and don't care..bring your A-game...we will. I don't care if we have the best D in the state...just be the D that wins state.
 5. could care less about shutouts, rather the wins. I think, 33-3.
 6. Polls, even college polls to an extent, are somewhat based on tradition and popularity, who the pollsters are familiar with. Unfortunately, Vidor does not have the football tradition of some other schools in the region. They should be ranked, they are certainly a talented team.
 7. Gotta hand it to the Hawks..i predicted a much bigger score. Give credit where it is due, good game HAWKS!
That has only been the case the last two season. Silsbee had defeated Huffman the prior two years. I very much liked Silsbee chances against Huffman this season before any of this happened.
I'd be very surprised if the Tigers were one and done. Don't think so.

And one day I'm afraid that gonna come back and bite them. They need to learn to play 4 qtrs.
I could not agree more, can't do that in a playoff game for sure.

If we play Angleton again we will beat them. They were the better team when we played them in non-district, but if we match up with them again in the playoffs, we'll blow 'em out.
Nederland's a good team, but the best in all of 4A? When there are teams like Pearland Dawson, Aledo and Tyler John Tyler out there? I think Nederland's a good third round pick and maybe a fourth round team, and there's potential for a state championship run, but the odds are against them. There's a reason they play the games and I'll be rooting for the Bulldogs come playoff time, but I don't think it's realistically a state year.
I agree with you. They have a chance, I just worry about what happens if they meet a team that can match size with them but has more speed. I'll be rooting for them though.

 22.
At the 2A level if a school continually fields competitive teams, that has to reflect as outstanding coaching. Adhering to a proven system, both during the season and the off season, I think most definetly proves the coaching staff is doing a superb job. People continually say that Newton has all this home grown talent and do not see what is really the influencing factor involved. The kids at Newton are exposed to a work ethic system of improvement at whatever skill level they have. They lift weights, run, and are continually challenged to be better from the time they are in the system in the 7th grade until they graduate. Not only challenged but expected to perform at a high level. They play to a higher level year in and year out because of this. Newton can not be compared to WOS on the field, but as to making every kid in the program better athletically they are on par. These two programs should be studied in depth by others wanting to improve on a yearly basis. Not copy in x's and o's but how they get their athletes to produce year in and year out IMO.
I totally agree with you.
