1. Silsbee 7 WOS 6 Mustangs need a wake up call to prepare for the likes of  #1 Navasota who is officially going D2, has 4 season shutouts themselves and have only allowed 43 points in 9 games.. please give it to them Tigers ;p WOS traditionally gets cocky and lets their guard down and loses to teams they shouldn't... over and over and over.  Let's please not let that happen this year? mmmmk? Goal is State, District is done
2.
Silsbee by 10
Given Silsbee has 3 wins total ever over WO-S by no more than 6 points in any of the three games that would be pretty shocking.  1993 WOS lost 14-20 1998 WOS lost 20-21 2009 WOS lost 7-13
3. Silsbee's given up 120 points to teams that have scored 13 against WO-S combined.  Will be a good game as Silsbee always plays WO-S tough WO-S vs Silsbee Common Opponents Played WOS 34, Port Neches-Groves 13 Silsbee 20, Port Neches-Groves 21 WOS 18, Little Cypress-Mauriceville 0 Silsbee 40, Little Cypress-Mauriceville 37 WOS 54, Orangefield 0 Silsbee 48, Orangefield 7 WOS 40, Buna 0 Silsbee 44, Buna 10 WOS 46, Bridge City 0 Silsbee 44, Bridge City 20 WOS 44, Hamshire-Fannett 0 Silsbee 49, Hamshire-Fannett 18 WOS 49, Hardin-Jefferson 0 Silsbee 28, Hardin-Jefferson 7
4. Fewest Points Allowed Stats for the first 8 games played for every season since the program started in 1977 Year/Points Scored/Points Allowed (8 games into the season) 2012 270 20 1987  234 23 (State Champs) 1998 246 34 1997 278 39 2008 367 41 2000 154 56 (State Finalists) 1978 113 59 1985 275 59 1988 248 60 (State Finalists) 2006 303 64 1995 287 66 2007 227 70 1993 277 75 1982 161 77 1989 313 80 1979 172 83 1986 207 85 (State Champs) 1984 191 91 1977 157 92 1992 255 92 1980 166 93 1990 252 94 2003 168 94 1999 187 95 2004 294 100 2010 283 110 1981 204 111 2005 296 112 2009 251 112 2002 207 128 2011 209 129 1994 201 131 1991 192 137 1996 140 147 1983 97 149 2001 188 155 The 1987 regular season was closed out with a 28-14 win over LC-M and a 32-8 win over Silsbee.. so allow less than 25 points in the next two games and you'll be ahead of the undefeated 1987 State Champs in regards to points allowed.
5. In honor of our 85th All-Time Shutout (which happens to equal our total number of All-Time Losses)  here are a few fun facts: We've shutout 32 different schools (49 of the shutouts being against just nine programs) 8 Shutouts Little Cypress-Mauriceville 6 Shutouts Bridge City Port Arthur Lincoln Vidor 5 Shutouts Hamshire-Fannett Hardin-Jefferson Port Neches-Groves 4 Shutouts Jasper Newton 3 Shutouts Beaumont-Charlton-Pollard Houston Worthing Orangefield 2 Shutouts Beaumont Central Beaumont Forest Park Beaumont French Houston Westbury Lamar Consolidated Nederland Silsbee 1 Shutout Bay City Beaumont South Park Brownsboro Dickinson Houston Sterling Houston Stratford Katy Mayde Creek Liberty Lumberton Magnolia Port Arthur Jefferson Wharton Willis Largest margin of victory: 84-0 over Port Arthur Lincoln in 1993 Smallest margin of victory: 3-0 over Jasper in 1987 and PN-G in 2002 Most Shutouts in one season: 6 in 2000, 6 in 1988, followed by 5 in 2012 through Week 7, 5 in 1997, 5 in 1987 and 5 in 1981 We've lost to almost the same number of teams as we've shutout: 34 with more than half (46 of the total losses) coming at the hands of just 8 programs 7 Losses Nederland Port Arthur Jefferson Vidor 6 Losses Jasper Port Neches-Groves 5 Losses Beaumont West Brook 4 Losses Bay City Beaumont French 3 Losses Beaumont Central Houston C.E. King in 1990, Jasper in 1996, Nederland in 2001 and Bay City in 2004) Largest margin of loss: 1996 in the 0-41 loss to Jasper 37 of the total losses were by a margin of 7 points or less 60 of the total losses were by a margin of 14 points or less Only 17 losses (out of 411 total games played) were by a margin of greater than 21 points
6. When was the last State Championship for any of the three defunct schools that now make up PAM?  the 1940's? I know TJ tried but choked in 1957 and in 1980 most notably.
7. Well that 3A team IS now 32-1 against all Orange and Jefferson County teams since 2003 and hasn't fared badly against 4A teams going 8-0 against PNG dating back to 1996, 14-0 against LCM dating back to 1994, 8-0 against Lumberton all-time, 5-1 against Nederland dating back to 2003, 3-0 against Dayton all-time, 2-0 against Vidor back to 1999 and now 3-0 against Central dating back to 2003.  Jasper should be fun as always next week!
8. Get 8 in a row Mustangs!! 1997 WOS 35-0 1998 WOS 17-12 1999 WOS 21-14 2000 WOS 7-0 2001 WOS 28-0 2002 WOS 3-0 2003 WOS 21-20
