1. Great kids at LC-M..way to go guys and gals.
 2.
Will he be suited up and ready to roll?
No, he has to sit for awhile. Sounds like a good talented kid from what I hear.
 3. H J is getting better...Silsbee still wins big but Hawks won't make it so easy as it has been in years past.
 4. Good news to hear.
 5. Great story and very classy act. High school players really don't probably consider themselves role models, but they really are (whether they should be or not). Countless kids watch them on the field or listen to their names being called on the radio and want to be like them. All high school players who are lucky enough to play should visit a Pop Warner or STFL team in their city. Just one "high five" or "way to go" goes a long way. We live in a GREAT area. Most kids, fans, and coaching staffs are some of the best people you'd ever want to meet.
 6. IMO, WOS-Silsbee will be a tight game and could turn on just one play because both teams and coaching staffs know each other so well. History between the two teams seems to bare this out. Blowout district games usually are because of the difference in talent levels. It's debatable whether or not Silsbee has the talent level that WOS has or better, but the teams are close enough for a tight game regardless. Turnovers and penalties will probably decide the game. Any blowout will be because of a plethora of turnovers on one side. That being said, got to take my Mustangs by 10. Also, I'd like to welcome the new transfer from Ozen, Chris James to the Mustang Athletic program. Glad to have you back in the program.
 7. Just think Buna is better team overall...Buna 24-16
 8. I KNOW the JV knows who they are playing in a couple of weeks...i don't think the varsity would be any different.
 9. Congrats!!!!!!!

People can say that Silsbee's offense is the best WOS has faced the entire year (and i'm not disputing that), but I tend to think that WOS will be the best offense Silsbee has seen all year also.
That's fair to say though there is an argument that Livingston has a better offense than WO-S based on the fact that they scored 42 and 28 points against LC-M and Central when WO-S only scored 18 and 14 respectively.
That is why I dislike comparing opponents. Saw both LC-M and Central games against WOS. We really did not open up the offense like we could on either one. I think we were probably playing a little close to the vest and trying to get the running game worked out. A lot of penalties in both games, also. IMO, I think the new offensive co-ordinator was being a little conservative early on with the defense playing so well. It will be the best test either team has seen for sure. Both teams will come away knowing what they have.

 12. Most programs are cyclical..hard to be outstanding every year.
 13. i think the all-time best winning percentage in the state says otherwise :)
 14. I have been on both ends of the situation coaching. I always thought it was MORE of a slap in the face when coaches didn't send their kids to score when they easily could have (baseball), and running out of bounds instead of scoring. I agree with running the ball (and therefore the clock). Guess I am old school but i would rather take a but whipping honestly then have mercy plays. Remember, the backups want to play and do well. Sometimes things just don't go your way (sometimes in real life also).
 15. Cardinals fly south, leave behind big goose egg in loss to Mustangs...I think they'll score but i thought it would be cool to write.
 16. Just wondering if Silsbee had played a "speed" team? Probably the closest thing WOS has would be the Central game, though not a great team, they did have above average speed.

Lamarque has played a pretty easy schedule also. I do believe Cs beat them while LC-M beat Cs and WOS beat LC-M.
not making excuses, but the teams only play who is in front of them.
Did you really just post that??? LMAO... Isn't that the same thing we said??? Too funny.
i said it long time ago!! i'm pointing out how a wo-s fan and the enterprise is giving a team that hasn't played anyone a title that they are not worthy of. for the record, ask any PAM fan and especially soulja,i'm the most critical PAM fan and yes, they have a soft schedule too. however, the kids only play who they play. we know we have a tough district and that's when we are able to fairly evaluate and see what we have. no PAM fan i know thumps there chest about beating central like wos did and is still doing and 14 points is all you can do against central?? do you know that everyone else have scored more than 14 on them?? and i'm sure it was more of central coaching and mistakes on offense more than it was wo-s stark. anyhow and also the fact that wo-s is not the only team in the state of texas that has 7 defensive players going to play college. that was the most ridiculous statement of them all.
I don't think the Enterprise was giving us any championship, just stating that we have given up the fewest points in the state of Texas. I am sure that some schools have 7 defensive players going to college but I bet not to many of them all D1. Remember, Central is a HIGHER classification than us while it is a LOWER classification for PAM.

 19.
I would bet you would not make it out of the region. Whoever you would play.
We may not, but neither will CS.
 20. I still believe that we would give PAM a quality game and IMO think we would beat West Brook this year. AS far as Coldspring you had a great backfield the past two seasons, it's gone. The past two years you would never have lost to LC-M. You can't lose that kind of firepower and expect to be the same. Navasota has played a couple of good teams but their schedule strength isn't exactly great either. If WOS was SOOOOO weak how did we make it to the quarters last year with a young team?
 21.
Wouldn't it be great to see WO-S, Newton, and Nederland at Texas Stadium this year.
that would be freakin awesome.
 22.

7 kids from WOS's defense will be playing college football next year on scholarship 7!!!! Who else can say that from 5A-1A?? I don't think anybody, pleas stop hating and congradulate the mustangs and if they aren't playing your team root for them, they have a rare collection of talent that not many 5A teams get a chance to see on defense let alone at the 3A level. Talked to a coach from a school withing the district, he said this Mustang defense and the talent it has on it this year only comes around once every 10-15 years at this level, and I can't agree more
I did it!!  I knew if I poked and prodded enough someone would go to the "7 kids gonna be playing college football off WOS's D." card and pull it out of their ace. Heck, with that much talent, anything but a state championship would be a big letdown. Too bad you won't make it out of regionals.....again.
amd YOUR team will do better?
 23.

the next two weeks the wo-s fans will  see just how good thay are. bridge is no push over thay can move the ball on the ground and in the air this will be a good test for the kids at wo-s and then the game all of silsbee has been waiting for and we all should know how good silsbee  is and playing at home is a big plus very hard to win games there
VNUPE IS CORRECT, YOU DO SEEM TO ALWAYS HAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE MUSTANGS, CONSIDERING IT`S A TEAM YOU`RE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTING. WHY DON`T YOU SIT ON THE OPPOSING TEAM`S SIDE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON
Ease up on Skipper guys, he is just giving the other teams credit also. what's the negative in what he said?
 24. WOS JV is well stocked...wouldn't worry about the Mustang D next year. AS far as Silsbee is concerned Mustangs have beat them 5 of the last 6..however, just one has been decided by more than 11 points (2010 Mustang 36-8 win). If my research is correct, the Mustangs are 16 and 3 when facing the Tigers and the Tigers are one of only 15 teams ever to beat WOS more than once. Since dropping to 3-A, Silsbee is the only district team to defeat the Mustangs (2009) and deny them the district championship.
