  1. Surprised this is at Rhodes and not Legacy...unless Legacy is booked for a different game.. One thing to watch is Sinton's QB went out late in the game....freak play and horrible luck....he slipped taking off an on a QB sweep and tried bracing his fall...looked like a wrist or hand injury
  2. The post I replied to from The Missing Band I’d rather lose with our kids that grew up here than win with some kids who stopped here for part of a season.
  3. As I said, last year...Morton moved in 2.5 years ago...he was at SOC last year as a junior...he transferred over spring of his sophomore year
  4. Not at all..this is why SOC played so much 7on7 they knew they had to get better throwing it...w/o that passing game this is 0-0 IMO
  5. SOC's passing game is saving them tonight...PNG run defense doing a heck of a job
  6. At this point of the playoffs the best of the best officials are working...doesnt mean they are perfect but these are the best we got left
  7. ohhh wow they got one from GP..didnt know that one...thanks for the correction
  8. I can only think of one starter at SOC who transferred in this year...a WR from Skyline and I think Morton moved in 2.5 yrs ago....vast majority of those kids have been at SOC since their freshman year to my knowledge
  9. They had a great crowd in Spring on Sat considering the 2 hour delay
  10. I am surprised at least the Pt Arthur side isn't already sold out
  11. JMO but I dont like any public school thats open enrollment, but when the charters came in and the political parties and politicians at the time wanted this system probably because it lined their pockets...but once charters etc came into being the UIL was left IMO with antiquated rules that dont apply into today's world...but thats another topic for another day... Just found it interesting how much more talk PNG-SOC had last year vs this year, even on the Dallas-centric forums....maybe folks are getting PNG-SOC fatigue....I said it on TepAndStepp I think it's a much more competitive game this year....
  12. I am surprised this thread has been somewhat quiet...either PNG fans are worried or they know their team is laying in the weeds like 2023 ready to shock the state
  13. See you Saturday!
  14. I dont think it's sold out....the ticket link was going to let me purchase 2 tickets
  15. Thur. Refugio vs Mason Fri. La Vernia vs San Antonio Davenport Sat. Barbers Hill vs Port Arthur Memorial
  16. There's some nice areas of Oak Cliff especially near Kimball and the golf course... The area around SOC not as nice Oak Cliff is a walk in the park compared to South Dallas which is where the State Fair and Cotton Bowl is
  17. vs North Shore QB was 12/17 120 yards 3 TDs vs Duncanville QB was 11/22 208 yards 1 TD vs Longview QB was 12/20 175 yards 1 TD The numbers are good (better than last year for sure), but its just the eye test, SOC and this QB look much more comfortable throwing it...better chemistry w/the WRs from playing 7on7 this year and it just looks like a competent passing game....now they haven't needed it in 2+ months and if PNG is able to make SOC throw maybe it looks bad....but I'm not betting on it
  18. For my picks its me lol
  19. Disagree... R3 winner will be favored over R4
  20. Beaumont seems like the only reasonable neutral option.... Don't believe either Coach wanted a home & home and it's tough to convince PA to drive through BH to go to La Porte or Stallworth and call it neutral
  21. I've been told likely Doggett Friday night...Lamar is bigger but Doggett has nicer locker rooms and actually wants to host. I dont think either home stadium would be able to host this game properly Doggett is close to halfway so to me Easy call
  22. Barbers Hill defense having a remarkable second half...
