Honestly, probably one of the most exciting districts in Texas as far as the variability of how this district may shape up in the end.

I'm just more impressed with Vidor beating the teams they have beat compared to who Huffman has played. Huffman's defense has been good, but I just have a hunch that Vidor will manhandle Huffman's D-line and have success getting the LBs blocked with the slot-t. Now, could that Vidor/Huffman game become another 99 point game like the Vidor/Silsbee game?? Absolutely, but I also think Vidor comes out on top.

Let's not devolve this thread into pulling out measuring sticks in the bathroom please.....

Let's make this simple. Vidor should go undefeated in district. Huffman has not looked all that impressive in their wins, but Vidor has gone 3-0 with impressive wins against tough opponents. Huffman won't be able to stop Vidor's ground and pound game. I think LCM will be a better bet to challenge Vidor for the DC. My prediction for the district. 1. Vidor/LCM 2. LCM/Vidor 3. Huffman 4. Livingston 5. Lumberton 6. Splendora

WOS - 32 LC-M - 24 LCM won’t be blown out and will make it a game. Probably close to a tie ballgame at halftime, but I predict the WOS will prove themselves in the second half and take home the win 32 - 24.

Game is postponed to Saturday or Monday.

Sounds like the defense did a great job of keeping the QB pinned up because he gave Vidor some fits. Glad to see Lumberton get their first win of the season and gain some momentum heading into the bye week and the start of district play. Future looks good!

Silsbee with a blow out win here. 50+ Points to maybe 14 - 21 points by OF. Sorry OF fans, but Silsbee is pretty darn good even without their starting Q.

I'm taking Jasper in a close game. This could go either way depending on how well Vidor moves the ball on offense. The Vidor defense will play strong, but the Bulldogs have a lot of firepower that I cannot foresee them containing all game. My prediction: Jasper 26 , Vidor 24.

BREAKING: UIL ANNOUNCES FALL SPORTS SCHEDULE
Guitar Man replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
If that’s the case, then why don’t you refrain from participating In any football forums until playoffs time is here? The regular season is just as important and interesting as the playoffs. -
La Vega is GOOD. I think they will beat Carthage by at least 10.

Lumberton was in the second round because they won their first round game genius. If you want more competition in the playoffs, draw the 4th seed next year. The Raiders played one of the best teams in the state. What were they supposed to do? Not play the game because they aren't the best team in the state? Yeah, it was a tough second round draw, but they showed up and played their hearts out. Honestly, if it wasn't for several short fields due to special teams problems, Carthage doesn't score 55. On top of that, Carthage didn't look like world beaters to me. If Carthage is so good, why not pitch the shut out against them? The 1's allowed 14 points on defense. By the looks and hype of the Carthage team it should've been a 60+ point shutout but it wasn't, Lumberton did what they could and it's something those kids can take pride in. BTW, you started your post with "Not trying to run down Lumberton" then you turnaround and run Lumberton in the ground. And for what? Probably a grown man running down a bunch of kids whose playing days are over now. You should feel real good about yourself.

If you notice, Coach #23 only comments on Lumberton losses. Nothing but a troll looking for a reason to bash Lumberton Coaching. Clearly, he knows his stuff and should be hired on at a school near you. Lol
-
Lumberton could come out fast and surprise Carthage early on. Hopefully, they can get a score on their first drive. As the game wears on, I think Carthage will pull away pretty easily. I predict Carthage 42 Lumberton 20. Good luck to the Raiders on Friday!

Lumberton 34 Houston Wheatley 17/FINAL

Well that sure is nice of them to come all the way from Carthage. Wonder what the reasoning is behind it. Gonna be a long game for the Raiders regardless of venue. Carthage is just adding miles on their buses for their state title run. 😂 -
Like every team in the district, Huffman will tested hard in round two. They do have the best chance of all the teams in their district to go deeper, but that Carthage district is tough man. It's hard for me seeing them beat Palestine in round two, in all cases though. All roads go through Carthage in that part of the bracket.
