You can't compare past years to current years. Look at the level of athletes. I've only been around here for about 10 years and I can say this...the OF football team needs Coach Huckabay a lot more than he needs OF. He will win wherever he goes. Let's face it...they are not very deep in athletes but compete in football AND basketball because they have learned how to be tough. The only reason they ever beat WOS and HF in basketball this year is because they were tougher...not nearly athletic. When was the last time OF had 3 straight years with a chance at the playoffs in their own hands the last district game? I hear a lot of people complain about UOS but it seems to work everywhere I've heard people on here complain about. If OF runs off Huckabay...enjoy a lot of losing years to come. What was the grievance against the girls about?

Why would Coach Jones leave? He started some programs and leaves after one year?

Rivers is a good player but he is NOT a point guard.

I think everyone knows where all of your opinions are on the UOS. It does not matter if you think it works or not, but the facts are this When Price took over at BH every sport was successful year after year when he left. I think Price was only at HF for two years if I'm not mistaken, and there was great improvement in almost every sport during that time period. Whether or not people agree with UOS, what Price does---it works. That's a fact and we will see that at CE King. Why does it seem people think HF is bad at every sport. I think they are pretty good in every sport except football.

Deweyville is having a tough time in basketball on both sides this year.

Didn't they graduate a lot? Do they have a lot of key players returning?

Don't most colleges lift all year around?

Good job by our local 4A schools. It's been fun watching them this year, but I didn't expect LCM to beat Dayton. I thought it would be 3-1 with the sole win being Livingston. Best place to be in 3A would have been the 2nd seed. At least they had the best chance for a win. I don't think any 3A teams in our local district make it past round 2.

I agree...and I also believe OF has a lot of catching up to do to HJ right now. Top two spots are there. It's a fight for 3rd and I think HF takes that.

I haven't seen any myself. Football is King in TX and that's where the reporters will do. If people want their scores covered on a Friday night they need to call the scores in. Unless it is a really big game, I don't imagine you will see crews at volleyball games on Fridays. Maybe when all the local football teams start district the news won't be so spread out and they can cover both.
