LeBron needs to learn how to shoot outside the paint. They Heat have to do something this off-season. Either break up the big 3 or get rid of Spoelstra. Whether or not he is a great coach...I'm not sure. I've thought this since day 1 and still say it...they don't respect him enough. Pop is coaching circles around the Heats staff and the Spurs are showing them how to play team basketball.

I thought Spoelstra had a very good game plan...Wade looked like Wade on both sides...and they played passionate.

Absolutely unacceptable performance by the Heat tonight. Not that they lost...but this is the Finals and to play with no passion for almost the entire game...almost the entire series...absolutely disgusting and pitiful. They should all give their paycheck back this month except Mike Miller.

Is this true about the 5th athlete? If this is true I think I'm going to have to quit paying attention to what is going on out that because that really pisses me off. I remember reading that in an article...2-8 being unacceptable. It is my understanding that this 9th grade class went undefeated in middle school...is this true? If the softball coach is fired for having two bad seasons...almost every coach on that campus should be fired...especially whoever had the freshman football group this year...I believe they lost 3 or 4 games. You say assistants have to prove they can follow before given the position??? Well...I did some chatting with a community member after your comment to get an answer: Strength and conditioning coordinator/defensive coordinator: 3 years experience...all middle school Head boys powerlifting/offensive line coach: 1 year experience...middle school Head girls powerlifting: 1 year experience...middle school Head wide receivers coach: 1 year experience...middle school Numerous coaches that had tones of experience were placed behind these people. I have a hard time that these four coaches proved themselves to be able to lead before the position they were hired for.

Bet you the baseball coach doesn't retire...he'll surface somewhere. He doesn't want to work for this AD and if a class act doesn't want to work for someone that tells me something. So if the AD loses next year he should fire himself if he fired the softball coach after two bad years. From my sources the girls basketball coach left because of the AD...didn't want to work for him. I was in this business for a long time and I will tell you the way he is doing things...is not the way you do them. Horns93...you drinking the wrong kool-aide my friend. Maybe I am wrong...time will tell.

Lumberton PNG LCM Nederland I've enjoyed watching this district the past three years. I think this will be a terrific district season.

As much as Edelmon annoys me...I think HJ will make the playoffs this year.

So the new AD has run off the baseball coach, girls basketball coach, and reassigned the softball coach. My sources tell me a lot of unhappy people out there. MaHaffey was a class act. Softball coach had been there since I moved to the area. Do not know much about the basketball coach. Maybe someone with deeper sources than I have can fill me in...I'm not connecting the dots on why here. HFfan5...any idea of those assistant coaches plan on staying?

Pacers should have lost this game in the 4th.

Great job, but if you want the better team to continue to move on...it should always be a 3 game set. By your logic of the best team because of winning 1 game, I guess the Astros should have won the World Series because they beat the Rangers first game of the season. Now look at them. All I am saying is that anyone can win a 1 game playoff, but the best team will normally win a best of three. Perhaps it is Huffman perhaps not. [/quote] You really sound like that Homer from HJ. I don't believe one person on here has said Huffman didn't deserve to win or BC was the better team. I've said...and a great majority will agree...a best of three series will almost always have the better team advance. Anyone can win a one game series. I would like to see a best of three the entire playoffs. Not sure why you are getting so offended.

I do not believe the best team always wins state. I have seen so many teams ride the arm of one athlete to the title. You still have to be a complete team and get things done with the sticks. No one here is arguing or saying BC should be upset. All I am saying...I would like to see it go to the best of three. Even at the State tournament. You would probably have to extend the tournament to one more weekend. Perhaps UIL hasn't thought of that...much more money would come in. Every other sport is consistent all the way through and it's the same as the entire season. So...baseball and softball need to either go to 1 game or 3. I would prefer best of three...but it should be the same across the board for everyone.

I do not know who you know that works out there but my sources tell me very few enjoy working for this AD and he has been in contact with coaches before the current coach even turned in her resignation. Great class he has. Just because someone has state tournament experience does not make them a good coach...you can ride talent when you jump from job to job.

Let's all be realistic here: 1) Not only will Silsbee make the playoffs in football this year but they will also win district. 2) Unless Silsbee has a bad night no one will even be close to them. 3) With 3A going to 4 playoff teams HJ very well might make the playoffs. Let's be real...HJ will probably romp HF and I would give them the advantage against OF and Buna. With their new head coach their defense should know how to stop OF and Buna. Now...stop all of your bickering everyone. We all know Silsbee has a better program...let it be.

I think he was there one year. Not certain on this but I think most of the varsity team is graduating. How many years since they lost a district game? Probably ends next year. Maybe he didn't want that.

He has made the playoffs 2 or 3 times in his 6 years I believe and beyond wins and loses he is a man of character. This is more important than the almighty W friend. Aggies seems to know a lot about many coaches around here...I believe this man has won a state championship as a head coach...can anyone say if this is true? And he's not a good coach???
