Sorry, I should have put best in the area in quotations. I’m sure his cronies will come to bat for him in this thread soon.

I could see a coach in Hardin county that continuously comes up in the best in the area debates applying for this job…

Any word on who will be the new coach in BS?

Any updates on score?

Makes scheduling a little easier. You can line up things for varsity down to junior high.
It's also nice to compete against teams in middle school/junior high all the way up. My middle school district was Groves, Port Neches, Woodrow Wilson (Lincoln), West Orange, Bridge City, Little Cypress, Mauriceville. We moved up to 5A, but when we dropped back down my junior year that's who we played again.
I don't have a strong opinion or another, but the UIL has allowed this to happen in the past. Until they stop opt-ups for any reason, this will happen.
Why do they not play in a Middle School district with their current district if that’s an issue? That seems like it would be an easily fixed schedule change versus petitioning the UIL to allow them to opt up?

HJ and Liberty currently compete in all sports from junior high up to varsity against Liberty, Huffman, Livingston, Splendora and Hamshire-Fannett. Football is the only district that doesn't look like that.
So to me if there's no rule against it and they choose to move up, let it be.
It may not be that big of a deal in this certain situation, but could be opening up a can of worms for teams to take advantage of it in the future that could be the difference in a district or state championship or not by opting up.

If UIL allows that to happen it will start an epidemic of teams opting up to avoid certain districts.

Literally any offense. They don’t even run the slot T that well. And the belief that vidor kids “can’t” do a modern offense (a belief that Coach Matthews has shamelessly expressed in news interviews) is baseless. There is nothing different between the PNG / Nederland kids and the Vidor kids except that the Vidor kids’ coaches think the Vidor kids can’t learn how to throw a ball.
You must have saw different Vidor kids on the field than me. I think there is a significant difference in the speed and size of the PNG kids vs the Vidor kids. I agree they could learn to throw and catch, but are they going to out run people in open space or be able to block in the interior one on one being outsized?

Why not look for an outside hire? Vidor could do a lot with a different offense (and defense). I’d love to see it.
What different offense or defense would be a better fit for them than what they have been in?

To get better! learn how to win big games. Not just coast on talent. You know. Heck they could even go talk to Colby Richards. You know him right? set that up for me on your off period.
Are we sure this is not the real Stephen A, has some of the same levels of hot takes lol

Is Buna open or did they make the interim permanent?

Score predictions on this one? Raider defense hasn't had much luck with stopping run heavy teams this season, but their offense is explosive. I am saying it will be a shootout last team with the ball comes out on top.

Has it been the same coach at Katy to win all 8 or different people at the helm? Just did not know because most of the others are with different coaches other than Carthage

Should be a fun ride thru district & playoffs with all these 4\5 star ,D1 guys from Kelly transfering to West Brook & putting the Bruins in contention with the top 6A programs in the state😎
Northshore and Atascosita have more stars than they know what to do with, but I am sure WB will still be glad to have all the help they can get.

I believe they have a couple of receivers who have D1 offers, I doubt they would stay without the QB there.
