Mark my words in the next few years if Toby stays there CENTRAL will be the premier school in Beaumont. In EVERY sport.

It seems to me that more people who don't live in beaumont, pay no taxes in beaumont, and children don't go to BISD schools seem t care more about BISD's school district than those who do. Interesting.

Hold up wait, exactly what bad hires have Chargois made? He's only been the Sup. for a year I believe? Did he hire all these guys when he got hired? And what situation is he in, to my knowlege he met with the guy from TEA yesterday and his job is still in tact. I believe if TEA was going to make changes they'd be made by now. Just saying.

So you think WB QB's used to go to camps when stump was there? Running a spread offense really isn't that complicated just look around texas more schools that have athletes run a spread offense. People in the pear orchard has been screaming for this multiple offense for ever but those days are over my friend. Even when I was playing the players on offense didn't buy into Rison's offense because they wanted to run the spread. Heck even Nederland was running the spread when I was in school.

Am I'm not at all defending what BISD done, I honestly could care less. But let's not act like everybody else's school district is peaches and cream. A lot of great things/people come from BISD and you never see it covered as much in the local media. For example Central's recent state appearance was that covered as much as this BISD scandal? Exactly!

Yeah it's crazy how we didn't find out about the coach who had improper relationships with a student from memorial had previous problems while coaching at Nederland, till after he had gotten in trouble at memorial for the exact same thing. I know Nederland, Local media did a great job of covering that. Lumberton etc districts are just as corrupt, they're just better at covering it up.

One certainly doesn't have to be flawless to be a better ISD when compared to BISD. ;)

At the end of the day you guys have to understand BISD's agenda central is the only school in BISD that has never won a state championship going all the way back to the bcp days....BISD is pushing for central to win state it's evident

This team was one of the only teams in the past few years that lacked an elite player like nekia, asia etc. But they're young so hopefully they get better in the future. And maybe somebody talk Alexis mom into getting her to Ozen. Lol

See this is the harsh reality about MOST winning programs such as Nederland WOS etc. Who is it really about? The coach/school or the players? Cause in reality the coach and the school is the only one who benefits from winning. Which is essentially more important having your team win a district championship or have your kids go on to get a free education?

Take a program like Ozen and Nederland for instance, Nederland goes undefeated but only signs 2 players. However Ozen only wins 3 games, don't make the playoffs but sign 10 players. So which program do you really considered to be more successful?

I guess I develop more of a personal relationship with my players than some coaches. I actually care what happens to these kids when they are done playing for me. If your kid commits 100% to me, I will do the same no matter how much eligibility you have left. That relationship last a lifetime and we still have former players that we see around town and try to help out via jobs or whatever. I just don't think I would be able to look myself in the mirror each morning knowing that I didn't do my absolute best to help a young kid out if I had the opportunity.

No I'm not saying thats whats its all about but what I am saying is that its not all about winning district championships either. You have to look at the bigger picture coaches should be role models that show their kids better paths in life and also give them opportunities to have a better life. I guess some of you fans have so much school pride that you could careless if a player from your school get a scholarship long as he is scoring touchdowns and winning games smh. And please stop making excuses saying that it is not the coaches job to get players recruited and the "most of our players aren't good enough to play at the next level". We had coaches pushing for players that played varsity for only a year and eventually end up getting them a scholarship. It doesn't hurt for a coach to try and get his players into college.

You guys are missing my point here...coaches do play a major role in the players getting recruited actually who do you think is the first person to talk to coaches when they call about a kid? The head coach, when they come to the school to watch players they talk to all of the coaches and get their perspective on a kid. It is a coaches job to try and get his kids athletic scholarships, when I was in school my coach made tapes etc and sent them out for players. But my point is what is a high school program about? is it about was better for the program or whats better for the kids in the program? I believe that on any level its about doing whats best for the kids which as putting them in positions to be able to earn a scholarship. Many coaches will play a kid out of position for the better of the program, but is that really giving that kid a chance to play at the next level. So Nederlands fan i propose this question again who's really more successful a team like Ozen who just gave 10 kids most who probably came from rough upbringings a chance to further their education while playing the sport they love or winning district championships every year and signing 2 players?
