Already emailed Crippen, he’s moving to safety….

The OC hire will be interesting.  His dad runs the Power I at Katy.  SLC runs the spread, but he coaches defense.  I would think most defensive guys would prefer more of a ball control offense.  

He is Gary Joseph's son.  Head Coach for Katy.   That is my guess as to what they like about him.  Otherwise, replacing Faircloth with a special teams coordinator will be a tough one to explain by the supt.  and by TD himself.  

He also works for Dodge’s son at SLC. I’m sure Todd Dodge knows him well.

So many things on this season...but this is about this game.
Fusilier was finally put in the backfield (no matter what the real reason was for this obvious late season “adjustment” 🙄)
Dogs had their best night of rushing all year (Fusilier has 13-119 in 1st half)
His touches in 2nd half were cut in half. KP knee he was getting the ball all night and they still couldn’t stop him, so why stop getting him the ball?
Defense is significantly depleted w injuries. Starting corner, starting free safety and backup free safety and Beck...some kids in those spots without any reps (seems like they would have benefited from more than  ONE practice this week)...yes, just 1
Kids are playing the best they can, leave it at that. It’s a shame with the drop off that this team has had since the beginning of season. Finish strong next week and move on

The offense HAS to change. Fusilier needs to be involved. Maybe less slip screens and bubble screens designed to #4 and more creative ways to put the ball in the best player’s hands. Defense can’t keep scoring, getting TO’s and have the offense stall out. Defense is also without starting corner and most likely free safety

Well running back (#9) was hurt on last kickoff...maybe this will force coach to realize #8 NEEDS to be involved on offense ...embarrassing coaching last 3 minutes of half.
 
Ans the punt thing was a joke to give ball to TC

It seems like. He’ll recover the muffed punt and they made him kick it again. Then there’s a roughing on Texas City with no other penalties during the play. After the Texas city player takes a knee, Nederland hits him late for a dead ball foul. They the  turn the ball over to Texas City.

There was a flag thrown immediately when corner grabbed fusilier and threw him down. I imagine TD comes back and dogs keep ball

Significant drop in running game and outside speed with receivers. Fusilier will be doubled all year and that leaves little to work with. Kendrick is big with nice hands as next option. Just need QB to throw on time. Biggest offense is QB scrabbling after he holds ball too long. Defense is solid up front and Beck will try to separate anyone from keeping the ball or their helmet at LB. Secondary is the question if Fusilier gets tired from running, catching, punting, covering or tackling and needs a breather

Before this goes South, I'll throw in my 2 cents...I'm definitely for playing guys both ways. If you have talented kids that need to  be on the field, play 'em. Off-season and 2 a days is where you condition them to be able to do it.
