Having your best players for a playoff run is usually pretty important.  The loss last night matches them up with Friendswood in the 1st round.  On the bright side y’all shouldn’t have to worry about baseball after next week and can carry on with football in April.

Even if they would have won, Nederland finished 3 and has the same match up. Don’t act like the lost made that happen

  2. Word on the street is that the halls and facilities are some sort of bizarro world with the current staff. The usual suspects are all of a sudden “interested” in the kids. Asking about and congratulating kids on other sports, having them run in track events and being concerned. Let’s see if these few days can change the perception of their actions during the last several years…allegedly

There are good coaches on the staff and also a handful that just need a change of environment

Sorry, I 've been on a hiatus but I'm back for the slander! All I'm saying is there has been an influx of Mexican kids who has moved in and they bring nothing to the table football wise and hardly athletic wise. You make it seem as I'm Donald Trump petitioning to "Build That Wall" haha.  If anything, they may play soccer, but look at the soccer program!! Nederland was ALWAYS good in soccer now they are at the bottom of the barrel, who would've ever have thought Nederland Football, Soccer, and Baseball would all be mediocre or below average. Times have changed for the worst and it has more to do than coaches, it comes down to athletes and talent! Boys Basketball is the only Boys sport being competitive! And what do you mean the Track Coach won't let the kids participate in individual events!? Track is mainly an individual sport?!

You must have already been non-renewed

This is a genuine question for the folks saying the current Bulldog roster couldn’t get to state. I’m not trying to rub anybody’s nose in anything. I’m just struggling to remember.

Didn’t a bunch of Nederland’s best players quit the team over issues with the coaches a year or two ago?

That part of your statement? No

But some regular players decided to “specialize”. And they moved on to the next level in those respective sports. And a coach or 2 may have been a driving force for not playing football.

  5. I believe Nederland did not cross mid field until 3 minutes left in game and TC had all back ups  to the back ups in. The play calling was laughable…but the execution was worse. Maybe 3 first downs until the last 4 minutes of the game for Nederland. TC had a punt with about 9 minutes, our punt team just turned and went back. The punter probably could have run for 30 yards but he held the ball for about 5 seconds, then punted. The ball slowly rolled to about half yard line and was downed. Backup QB was put in…safety. Dogs got ball back and finally crossed mid field with about 3 minutes left. QB had a very nice run for TD. Maybe coaches didn’t want this week’s opponent to have good film on em. Can’t think of another reason for the “game plan”…and just to tidy up the message of lack of awareness, injured player on sideline wearing slippers and pajama pants with uniform, throwing the football around looks poor when a staff is under the microscope…Go Dogs, Good luck to the kids, hope for a injury free game!
