The Liberals are the party of hate, personal hate...that is obvious and undeniable. The thing you misinterpret as "hate" by the Right is opposition to the Left's policies. Sure, you can find examples of personal hate from the Right, but the majority of personal bile comes from the Left. How you can't see that, or won't see that, is way beyond my comprehension. I've lost all respect for Democrats, because they have let a bunch of looney wing-nut Liberal/Socialists define the party. Until the Democrats reclaim the party, y'all will be known as the party of hate.

Two of the three coaching positions open and the other just filled this year for the third or fourth time in as many years, so yeah I would say so. Not to mention the AD position.

Yes all games can possibly be scouted, but the varsity staff can't come scout you on Tuesday or Friday when they also have games. Seeing a team in person yourself before a game is a way bigger advantage than having a middle school coach or some other scout go watch a team for you. If this game was played tonight you would have all 3 teams ( head and assistant) Ozen and Central are playing in the first and possible second round there to watch guaranteed. A head and assistant coach from all three schools who would not see that game at all first hand under any other possible scenario.

So Central and Ozen should make their selves easier for the playoff opponents to scout by playing on a different night, so they can accommodate the crowd that cares more about Valentine's day than they do supporting their teams. Logical

So you think teams should change their routine and practice schedules they have had all year to not play a game on Valentine's day? I laughed

My issue is the suspension pending investigation.  While I understand and support why this is done when the safety or welfare of the kids are involved (i.e., assaultive allegations, sexual or otherwise), I don't in situations like this.  I'm sure there must be some policy requiring it.  But if there is, I don't agree with the policy.  In this country, you're innocent until proven guilty. And to cost a coach most of the season and deprive the kids of their coach based on the "allegations" of a couple of parents is a travesty.  Especially when it sounds like he's going to end up being cleared anyway.  

Because Silsbee is one of SETX's babies.  It seems to me that some are truly more concerned with a Silsbee state championship than this kid possibly learning maybe one of the most valuable of lessons that can be learned.  Despite what people say.  If that weren't true then you wouldn't even see words like "unfair" or "too harsh".  I know that the KID made a huge mistake that he would probably undo in a heartbeat.  But even things that we don't mean to do and/or regret doing we have to be held accountable for.  Honestly, as a parent, my first thoughts were "What might I do if this were my kid?"  Either kid.  
If my kid did something like this to another kid nobody would have to worry about how many games he/she was suspended...because I wouldn't allow any more games to be played that season. And I can promise you that wouldn't be the end of it.  I understand "heat of the battle" as well as anyone.  I've tied up with teammates and opponents plenty of times during my playing years.  True competitors will get upset in certain competitive situations.  But blatantly attacking someone that isn't looking and defenseless is something else.  
If my kid were the one who got attacked:  I would think that a "rest of season" suspension was fair.  If it were anything less...or if it were changed because powers that be thought is was "too harsh", then I couldn't promise that I wouldn't file assault charges.  You're talking about an athlete of D1 caliber attacking another high school kid without them knowing it was coming.  Potentially dangerous.
So like I've said already...you Silsbee fans need to be thankful the punishment wasn't worse.  It doesn't look like it's life altering (in the big scheme of things) for him.  So accept it, and shift your focus to playing the remainder of the 16-17 season without him.

Seems like the Silsbee coach has video proof of another incident involving this player.  If this is true, then the coach and the players parents are just as much at fault for his behavior.

 I said this in the initial topic yesterday.  Good/Great athletes can get away with alot and have lesser consequences than others from H.S. all the way to PROs.  and usually when their playing days are done for those athletes who had a checkered past they end up in prison, dead, or broke.  IF society(parents, family, coaches, etc) would have just done their part in  teaching/correcting/disciplining  the individual when they were young.....society has become about only caring about winning a game/championship/scholarship/money instead of doing the right thing and shifting or ricocheting the blame.  There are plenty of examples out there take your pick.   
All individuals(lcm and silsbee) in this situation should have consequences.  I dont necessarily agree with individuals whom defended themselves should get punished.

The WOS argument actually kind of makes you look worse. They dominated far more than you guys are. Won back to back state titles and have had zero problems like this. You guys keep saying how great you are but are wearing no rings.

Once again number 3 punched a bc kid in the back of the head, but that thread was locked for some reason instead of addressing the issue. 

I think what bothers me the most about this is that he passed 5 bigger kids to go after the smaller one. 

These kids are having to "defend" themselves way too often.
 

Planned or not you do not blind side someone 50 feet from the fight. Also if you knew LCM was going to try and do it then that to me even shows less restraint on your part.
