I can't imagine one that is worse. Definitely the softest

I wouldn't go that far. HISD, AISD, and DISD districts are pretty bad.

It's just I. our area, the more glamorous names play in DII. This district has represented itself well in the playoffs and will probably do so again.

    I'm going 35-14 Livingston.

No, but thanks for the concern. I know you don’t know much about football, but if you look at the schedule, you’ll realize Lumberton is away at Splendora this week. I’m the smart one. Remember that... Run along now troll.

I find that people who say they're smart are usually the dumbest people in the room.  Just saying...

Persistent was probably the word you were looking for...and really smart probably. 😎

Do you need help evacuating this week? We all know how the hurricane storm surge affects Lumberton.

I'm sure Huffman is glad it's coming because they can use it to get the Raiders to forfeit. Heaven forbid they have to play the mighty Raiders.

Blah blah blah vomit. Public forum. I have the privilege to post on this thread. If it was relegated to just Livingston folks, there wouldn’t be many posts on here. I haven’t said anything bad about Livingston. I praised them. Regarding football that is.

But in the spirit of goodwill, I’ll start over:
Hey guys, good job on the win over Vidor. The improvement for Livingston is amazing. Regarding the band stuff, I know it’s super duper important to the success of the football team, but you may want to send those comments over to the band forum. What’s that? You didn’t know there was a band forum? Well sure there is! Only nobody ever posts in the band forum cuz nobody cares. Do I like the band? Of course I do, silly! They provide the background music while I’m taking a leak and getting my nachos!

If your band sucks, tell them to practice more after school or on the weekends during non-football times.
Btw, if the band was such an integral part of the game, why were they left at home? Because they don’t have to be there to play the game.

    You're insufferable.

My problem wasn’t with you necessarily, but the comment about the band. Post your band comments on the band thread. It has nothing to do with Lumberton losing like Livingston has done for years. If the bands look rusty, maybe they should practice on the field when the football athletes are done with it. Because it’s a football field. It’s where football games are played.

Nah, you could have just said there was a band thread. No one else had a problem with the comment. No one here was talking to you, so miss me with that.

And bands are a big part of Friday.

it's a general statement about bands, period. not just Livingston. They all look rusty. All the bands have lost half of their performances and I feel bad for them.

Why don't you keep me out your threads and I do the same?

I've left you Lumberton people alone to wallow in your misery the past few weeks. Y'all, who dared accused us of trying to use weather to get a forfeit from the high and mighty Lumberton Raiders because we were so scared to play you.

Practice for what? Band Competition? They can’t practice on the football field?

    Good grief...

All of the bands look rusty. Not playing and marching every week is killing them.

Don't you need to go cry with your fellow Lumberton fans? Looks like y'all are finishing in last place.

I don't know what you're problem with me is, cuz. Quit being a sore loser and scram!

I think he was mad for the blocking in the back call on that kickoff return at the end of the game. First time I've seen a flag thrown against Mathews. But Livingston had I believe 8 penalties compared to Vidor's 4, don't quote me on that though.

That's what I'm getting at. Vidor had more calls go their way, or rather more non calls.

He ain't look to happy walking towards the bus after the game.

DCTF computer rankings had us at #36 this week, I'm pretty sure we'll be out of the top 50, Monday.😬

They had y'all ahead of Livingston in the rankings but losing by one.

BTW, why was Matthews going crazy on the sidelines?  I think y'all got more calls/no calls and the Pirates were the road team. Y'all were holding all night.

Any of you Lion fans make the Orangefield game?   Just curious how OF was able to play y’all so close.   Injuries?   Just an off night?   I could see y’all beating them 2 or 3 TD’s.

I was there. We turned the ball over a few times. The most frustrating was an interception in the end zone where our receiver quit running the route. Had that not happened, Livingston goes up by 21 and the game is basically a wrap. Orangefield also recovered an inside kick that led to their last drive.

It was a sloppy game. It shouldn't have been close. Hats off to the Bobcats for fighting back. I think that was their first game of the season and they were still dealing with Laura.

I will always wonder what would have happened if they had played for OT instead of the win? The Bobcats had the ball for 20 of the 24 minutes in the second half and our defense was gassed.

Yeah. We'll have to get through WO-S in the second round and another really tough team in the third round just to meet up with Carthage again. If all of that happens, we'll be in much better shape to play them. On the other hand, they'll be an even better team by then.

If you play Carthage again, you have a good squad. It means you beat WOS.

I would feel good about the chances at that point. It's hard to beat a team twice in the same season.

Region 3 is the Region of Death. I'd favor the winner of that bracket to win it all.

Yea we are only -7 in a tie breaker scenario but you guys are plus a bunch with that win over Splenda... so your right we would have to blow y’all out or just win out and hope HH gets Splendora. So many scenarios though, the whole district will be figured out on Friday. I watched the Splendora game up to halftime they were hanging tough. They must have really messed it up in the second half.

Friday is going to be big, no doubt.

The Wildcats ran it down to less than a minute to go in the first half, thinking they were going in with a tie. But Livingston beat them on coverage and went in 21-14 at the half, then scored on the first drive of the third and it was a wrap.

We doinked a field goal and kneeled at the one yard line to finish the game. We out muscled them.

Even if the Pirates eat up clock, the Lions don't need a lot of time to score.

Well the guy said y’all qb came to Livingston  his freshman year. Where is he from? Lol

You're going with that? We were bad last year with him as our QB.

There was talk about him before he got to high school he was going to be the man.

We're the biggest school in the Lake Livingston area. Not all the schools in our county offer football. If you want to play football it's either Livingston or Corrigan in Polk County. Leggett, Big Sandy, Goodrich and Onalaska don't offer the sport. So it's not unusual to see a kid come from one of those places either in Jr high or high school.

So stop with the sour grapes.

I think y’all can score, I see the athletes. No doubt, the team looks different this year. I don’t know if the defense will be up to task though, it depends on what scheme they decide to run. Best thing would be a shootout but I’m hoping for something low scoring because that means we are controlling the ball and eating up the clock.

The problem is you need to score a lot and win by a lot, if you want to avoid tie breaker scenerios.  Livingston maxed out against Splendora. You lost to them. So you're behind before you step off the bus.

Just like you say the loss to Splendora is a fluke, the Huffman game at LCM was a fluke, except they won theirs. You're not beating Huffman. If you want at least second place, you have to win in blowout fashion and that's not happening.

Vidor is going to have to max out? And they don’t have the firepower to do it? You do realize that Livingston has been the live action, walking, talking epitome of suck the last decade right? I’d be worried about your firepower and the ability of your kids to max out. Do you honestly think there is no way the Pirates can show up at your place and roll your boys over?

We're talking about this year. And if the game was in Vidor, I might feel different about the outcome. But the game is in Livingston and the Pirates have the long bus ride. Hence why I'm picking Livingston.
