I got mine in the mail about three weeks ago. I'm not sure why it takes so much longer to roll them out to the stores down there.

Btw(by the way), if this kid is "#2" I gotta find/see the "#1" kid. Gotta be off the charts for an 8 year old! Probably got NIL deal(s) in the making.
It's getting ridiculous. They need to stop hyping up kids before they get to high school.

9 shutouts in 13 games. of the 57 points the DAWGS allowed all season, 34 came in the Willowridge game.
I listened to that game. I think they shocked all of us. Why couldn't he have forgotten his helmet that night? lol

Jasper hasn't played Houston Madison. At least not while Vince Young was there.
Jasper did have a couple of battles with FB Willowridge that had Thurman Thomas. I attended those games.
Yeah. He got us really good in '82 when we had all of those shutouts. The '83 game was a slobberknocker though.

Try ricc1800 on YouTube.
I'm glad I watched that. Thank you.

Coach Walkoviak told me once that the '80 team was his best one. There were several others that made deep runs in the early-mid 80s. Every Friday felt like a holiday, even when we played games that we knew would be blowout wins.

kudos to Jasper ISD for making an intelligent hire. WOCCISD should've outsourced the hiring of their coach to these guys. I'm excited for the Dawgs
I thought hiring Barbay was a great move at the time, but this should be a home run. I haven't ever seen this kind of excitement surrounding a new coach for the Bulldogs!

If they get back to those 2000-2006 days lookout.
He runs a high caliber offense that scores a ton of points. Couple that with a great DC in Malcolm Bronson and we're on to something. It may not ramp up immediately, but I think we're on the verge of something special for a long time.

I'd run through a wall for that dude. He knows that there are high expectations for our program and I think he could do things that we've never been a part of. I'm ready. Let's go!!!

I wish the UIL would just leave us in 9-4A. Going back and forth with the northern district (Carthage, Rusk, etc.) sucks. We belong in this district.

I just read a article where Gonzaga could be in the big 12 for basketball only member… but I get your point on where they will end up. Lot of these smaller schools can compete with the big boys.
I'm hoping we'll see LU at a level that they could knock off some of the bigger schools at some point...or at least be able to contend for SLC titles every year.

Gonzaga is now a blue blood. If college sports goes all megaconferences, they will be included for basketball purposes, much like a UConn or Villanova.
They would probably try to take St. Mary's with them. They have been one of the best mid-majors in the country for a long time.

I wouldn’t be surprised with these new super conferences about to happen any day now smaller conferences will be pushed out. They will 2 different tourneys or the NIT rules will change and that would be considered the small school tourney
I'm a traditionalist, so a lot of this stuff goes against my sensibilities. Having said that, this idea would be better for LU than getting blown out by Duke in the first round once every few years. The NIT Tournament would be a lot more interesting if it was earmarked for smaller schools, but I wonder how it would affect a tiny school like Gonzaga.

Don’t do it Aggie. Years ago I watched a game when W Sabine played H Island. WS was trailing by 3 points with time running out, WS running back broke into the clear and was running uncontested to the end zone but the mosquitos drug him down on the ten yard line. W S lost.
How does High Island ever lose a home game?

Who is this guy? I've never seen a bigger homer in my life...

@Bulldogs92check out our supposed 18.6 million dollar stadium
That's laughable. We built a very nice complex (baseball, football venues), but we would have done more with almost $19MM.

Shawn was a LU Cardinals fan growing up, but he played at SFA. I'm not saying that he would ever want to coach at that level, but either program would be lucky to have him.

Sinton- 6 Celina- 0 after 1st inning
That's death by a thousand paper cuts if I've ever seen it. Good thing it's early for Celina so that maybe they can make it interesting.

As 7on7 has grown the Baytown Lee's of the world who win state 7on7 and the go winless in real football are few and far between....by and large teams who go to the State Tournament and do well also do outstanding in the fall.
In 2021 Division I the final eight teams went 83-22, Division II 76-24 and Division III 83-20
We are talking teams like Lake Travis, Austin Westlake, College Station, Katy Tompkins, China Spring, Tyler Chapel Hill, Argyle, Dumas, Stratford, Franklin and Daingerfield
I've always wondered why we don't participate in those tournaments. Maybe that will change under Coach Crumedy.

That was a rough year for us. We went 4-5 and had trouble scoring points. This '21 version of ours was similar in that way.
