  1. Lets go Cardinals. Y'all got this 🐦
  2. West Brook wins 65 - 56.
  3. Three minutes to go. Angleton up 55 - 54.
  4. Four minutes to go. WB up 54 - 52.
  5. Technical on an Angleton kid. Didn't see what it was for. Tied at 52. WB ball. Under 5 minutes to go.
  6. 52 - 50 Angleton in the 4th.
  7. Going into the 4th 43 - 41 Angleton. Somebody besides #5 for WB needs to do something.
  8. It's 41 - 39 on TL. Almost in the 4th. I think #5 for West Brook is the only kid that's scored any points this half.
  9. Angleton up 35 - 29 in the 3rd.
  10. West Brook is up 27 - 25 at the half.
  11. They need to get Arline more involved in the game. He's one of their best shooters. His play hasn't been the same since being moved to the bench in favor of Johnson.
  12. If they play up to their abilities, Silsbee by 6. No stupid fouls though. They got away with it last game. That might not be the case Friday if it happens.
  13. Is there a Center live feed? Texan Live ain't it.
  14. Terrible first half for Silsbee and we're still up by 4. I said this before the playoffs started, but our starters have got to stay out of foul trouble. Center's big man can do what he wants with Rice sitting and our freshman big ain't ready for varsity play.
  15. Looking at the Silsbee side of the bracket, they can definitely win if they play up to their potential. They just can't have any off nights.
  16. I re-watched the Silsbee/Wheatley game from last year on Texan Live this evening. They didn't handle the Tiger pressure very well. Silsbee shot the 3-ball and free throws horribly in the first half. They also had issues turning the ball over and crashing the boards. If Silsbee can shoot the ball better and rebound, they'll have a chance. That nearly 30 point beating Wheatley gave Booker T Washington a few weeks ago is bound to have some people taking notice. Again, this is assuming we can get past Center.
  17. I'm a little worried this is going to be a short playoff run with Wheatley being next if we beat Center. Silsbee will need to be at the top of their game. I can see the roster shrinking down to about 7 kids who'll play, so staying out of foul trouble will be very important going forward.
  18. I don't know how different Center is from when we played them early in the year, but I'll take Silsbee by 15. The Tigers were still in the habit of having some horrible second halves of basketball back during the first meeting. That game was a blowout at halftime before Center went on something like a 15 - 0 run in the second half. I don't think anything like that has happened to Silsbee since a few games before district started.
  19. Vidor played well for 3 quarters of basketball tonight. They forgot to show up for the 4th. They can't do that if they want to win a playoff game. I don't know if it's the new D1/D2 format, but a lot of these early playoff games look to be more of a challenge than in past seasons. There's going to be some pretty brutal round 1 match ups.
  20. It's just the type of game Silsbee needed right before the playoffs. I get match ups are a thing, but how Vidor loses to a team like WO-S is beyond me.
  21. These games have been so dull and boring. I think the dunk count was 5 - 0.
  22. I never want to hear anyone complain about Silsbee getting outside players again if we lose another kid.
  23. Silsbee has a big kid on JV that can hopefully replace Rice next year. We just need him to be ready for varsity play by next season.
