As someone who doesn't live in the US, I can honestly tell you that many people in the world viewed Obama as a weak coward. Have you ever criticized him as an embarrassment to the country?  Many people in the world also view Trump as a clown. I try to be fair in any judgment. If you can't be honest in your criticism, how can you expect anyone to take you seriously. 

True, but most posters on this board are conservative. I would expect that. The problem is that neither side is willing to concede that it doesn't have to be us against them. To many gotchas and not enough thoughtful conversation. Both sides are guilty of this on here. 

Living in China makes it difficult for me to watch many MLB games, so I sometimes watch Japanese league games and they are awesome. It is more of a College Football atmosphere. I hope to get to watch a game in person sometime.

I think much of his popularity lies in the fact that he is so politically incorrect. That is also why the left hates him. 

If you want to have a civil conversation on just about any topic, that is fine with us, and encouraged...as long as you can ignore the few Liberals on here making unsubstantiated, baseless, and off-topic claims about anything and everything. Then you have to ignore the many retorts forthcoming. Then someone has to get the thread back on topic, only to see the same cycle repeat. Other than that, civil conversations are just a thread away, and that thread will always come tomorrow.

It is hard for me to say who is the better speaker. To their base, both Trump and Obama would be considered very effective speakers. I don't think either of them have much crossover appeal to the other side. Sadly, that is the current state of politics in this country. I personally enjoy Trumps speeches more. Obama uses emotional arguments that don't really hold up to facts and logic, but that is what his base is interested in.

Obama - Great talker with absolutely no substance but a lot of complaining with laughter to follow from him. Trump - Great locker room talk with a little substance but no plan other than "believe me".  Hillary - One of the most fake politicians that I have ever seen. She is simply horrible and she is entirely unbelievable when she speaks. Take the (D) from in front of her name or her married name itself and she doesn't get 10% of votes from any race even in her own party. She rides the coattails of her husband to the max. Harry Reid - I don't know if I have ever seen anything he has said that resembles a speech but he has the complaining of Obama and Trump but with some much anger built up that he seems evil and disingenuous. 

I don't know about that poll(maybe it is accurate), but I have been pleasantly surprised by Trump so far. I did not vote for Trump(or Hillary), but have liked what I have seen. And to be honest, other than the things he has said, what could anyone be upset about? The economy is taking off and jobs are returning. Those were Obama's weaknesses. Whether you are on the left or right, that has to make you happy. And if that doesn't make you happy, why not?

I think most people agree with you about Trump's mouth.  I like the fact that he calls people out and exposes them.  I could do without the name calling and insults.

Realistically, the left is in uncharted waters.  They're having to confront things they haven't faced before.  Subconsciously they're aware that the last eight years was a disaster.  Then they run the worst candidate they could have, and lost to a brash businessman who wasn't even a politician.  Now that same guy has started off like a house on fire.  Dems are knocked back on their heels.  They're like a blind crocodile, just snapping at everything.  Ain't this a hoot!

In this case, they are very relevant and definitely not a joke. I'm new here and all I've heard is where is the proof being spouted from you and other leftists. For this claim, the only piece of real proof supports Donald Trump. Take this for what it is, a win for the Trump camp. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm sure he will tweet something later this week that will start a new controversy and then you can go on another rant about how evil and corrupt he is.

Statistics say that they should do more of whatever you want to categorize. However, when looking at violent crimes, it is the black population that commits these at a higher rate. Would I be justified calling them thugs or would that be racist? So Sad.

It needs to be FUNDAMENTALLY changed. it seems that maybe the left is putting labels where there don't necessarily need to be any. I took from this that those on the right made their decision based on issues while those on the left made their decision based on labels that had been placed on the candidates and when the roles were reversed in this experiment, they ended up with pie in the face. This is what I hate about partisans(both sides). You put your party above reason and logic. If I am not mistaken, it wasn't very long ago that we had people on this site screaming that Trump should be impeached. Apparently because he is a bad guy, not because there is any evidence of an impeachable offense. I have read all of the reports and they all conclude that there is no hard evidence, just speculation. If you could impeach someone based on speculation, Obama would have been impeached a dozen times. Now, when the roles are reversed, we shouldn't do anything because there is no proof. That is total crap. What harm can an investigation into this matter do? The bigger issue here is that we "potentially" have a sitting president wiretapping the opposition party candidate during the heart of a presidential campaign. Some have argued that the president doesn't request wiretaps. That may technically be true, but he most definitely would have been informed if they did this. And if so, he could have given the order to stand down. That puts him in bed with this also. I don't know if there is any hard evidence yet, but there were two FISA requests naming Trump or his people during this time period. We don't know what they were for, but I believe that this is enough to warrant a full investigation. Maybe nothing shady happened. That would be great. Maybe they had a good reason to wiretap. Who knows. But if the allegations are true, that is something the American people have a right to know and all Americans, regardless of party affiliation should want to know the truth.
