1. WB's superior heart and conditioning prevail.  27 - 24.
2. The only problem right now is that the team is still thinking about the NS win, not the Deer Park game.  I am sure that will end and WB will dominate.
3. Cooper is a "program player".  He has been developed by the program into a good running back.  West Brook has two or three others in the same program.
4. Are you sure WB is the home team?  Ithought coach Stump would probably rather be the visitor as they play from that side usually.
5. Deer Park is a large, straight ahead, come at yoiu team.  If any team is like PN-G it is them.  Speed will make a difference.  The Principal at WB is providing buses for the students who want to go to the game on Saturday.  WB should have a big crowd.  WB wins this game.
6. They really need to play the theme from "Rocky" for this team.  North Shore whacked them early and they just got up and started fighting.  I have seen them play every game this year and continue to improve.  Everytime you think they have peaked, they seem to get better.  No real big name stars, just a team that has been coached how to win, executes and never quits.  Whatever they do at this point, they have definitely made a believer out of me.    I will not pick them to lose another game, even though Rocky did not win the title until the second movie. (Next year's opponents take note).
7. I heard a huge water leak occurred and Durley field is under three inches of water. Craig Stump seen working on the line with an axe before the leak started. Leak will be fixed in time for NS to fumble 11 times.  Odds on WB winning increase dramatically. Seriously, the growth in the team at WB has been tremendous, and win or lose, they will not give up.
8. It is possible to have a Thursday night game if all three schools are in town that week.  WB played a Thursday night varsity game against Lee because all three Baytown schools were at home that week. While you could have refurbished the stadiums, and built one for Ozen, that still does not include a swimming facility.  The voters approved the facility.  Now, as is the case with some elections, people are whining about the outcome.  The bottom line of the program is the students, how many get to college, how many have their high school experience enhanced.  A new stadium will help not hurt.  The athletes are students also and deserve a nice facility.
9. North Shore is coming in to make a statement.  Co champions or not, they want everyone to know who is the best team in the district.  My main hope is that WB does not come out of the game too beat up, sore, or injured.
10. WB lost another d back to injuries.  Reggie Wilson is gone for the remainder of the season.  They will have a hard time with North Shore who will spread the field and take advantage of large cushions by the corners.  I expect to see WB fight hard.  North Shore by 10.
11. And the winner takes......... Second Place in the Beaumont Bowl!!!!! It's really time for WB to stop playing Central and Ozen.
12. WB hasn't had transfers in two years. That's why the population of the school went down slightly this year. Only siblings are allowed from outside the zone. There is a waiting list. When WB hits 2405 transfers are shut off. No fourth high school. Why is this on a sports forum?
13. Every year PAM has better athletes than WB. WB beats them on execution, not athletic talent. This year I believe the difference in athletic talent is greater, so the game should be closer. The difference is that a mistake by WB's defense means a score by PAM. A mistake by PAM's defense would probably mean a 1st down by WB. With that being said, PAM by 7.
14. Either that or . . . . the teams they have beaten were overrated to start with.
15. Google "Texas Education Code Chapter 37". That chapter deals with discipline and safe schools. Also look at your district's policy handbook. Policies followed by (legal) are mirrors of the Tx. Ed. Code. Policies followed by (local) are local policies.
16. Durley is pretty bad from middle school and JV games. They will roll the field Monday to try to have it ready for Memorial next Friday.
17. Lee has a big, talented o line. However they had two players on the line playing both ways. Can't do that very well and compete in 5A. Next year in 4A they will obviously be better. T he bad news for WB is that unless Sterling pulls off some wins and Lee loses out, the Bruins will go big school. Nice win, no injuries. Thursday games are great if you win.
18. I think there is something to be said for it in 5A. For instance, if you are in a district with 5 schools of 2400 and two schools of 4200 it becomes much harder to compete on a equal level. There is a much greater difference in the enrollment between West Brook (2500) and North Shore (4300) than there is between West Brook and Central (1600). To limit the 5A to two teams would be a problem. Maybe we need a 6A division. I agree in 4A and below that 4 teams is too much.
19. Last year Lee threw the ball up and let WB's inadequacy in the d backfield be shown. This game comes down to the line of scrimmage, as do most. If WB eliminates mistakes, blown coverages, etc. they should win using ball control on offense. The turf field will help Reyes as his strength is change of direction running. I see WB winning 35 -21.
20. I'll be there. Hopefully they will stop the WR and take the game.
21. The end of the grading period for BISD is friday, October 9th. Players eligible until next friday.
22. So your gonna make me find out from my contacts at WB.
