Not many folks are out to help people that can and should be working (despite what Rush tries to lead us to believe). Many that voted for Trump were so worried about erasing Obama that they didn't realize that Paul Ryan and his friends with tales would be cutting their food stamps, medicare, health care and social security. Whether it be the Republican or Democratic rich that control government we need to start trying to effect their money. Ive been working since I was 12. Live pretty well and don't mind helping people that deserve it. Even when that person on the street ask for help, i try to figure out who is sincere. I usually count the ones that have cigarettes out. Race doesn't matter. Geographic location doesn't matter either. The man above ultimately controls this world.

Rebgp if you are a republican and someone else is a democrat I respect both of your choices. i am democrat. There are Republicans that i have grown to like. i used to bad mouth Ted Cruz . I spoke with him in Port Arthur the other day and was pleased to meet him . I don't like every democrat politician and will never vote straight ticket again. We are stuck with bad politicians in either party. While volunteering after this storm and the floods I remembered how my grandmother liked everyone, never said a bad thing about anyone. She didn't care about race, political affilliation are religion choice. Her motto was if she couldn't say anything good or helpful she didn't say anything at all. There are many things that we can agree on, Starting conversations with Why blacks are White folks ......is usually never good. People go to defense mode and say things that even they might not believe. Blaming all blacks for blm are all whites for kkk, saying all dems or all rep are bad helps keep people divided, so the crooked politicians and the individuals or companies that are paying them off can get their way

I work with many people that make a diffrence in their own communities and have been for a long time. I am 52 years old and have just started trying. Pray that I can keep it up.

Possibly your best post ever.  And I agree with virtually everything you said.  Maybe everything, but I'm so sleepy (from helping my sisters who was flooded) you might have slipped one in on me lol.  My last birthday, one of many, I got one birthday card.  It was from a guy I use to work with that I'd helped when his family was going thru some hard times.  Yes, a black man.  We still stay in touch, and occasionally meet in Bmt to eat together.  Skin color doesn't make good or bad, it's what's in our hearts.  I even know a few democrats who are good folks (don't get the Big Head Hoops).

Water was shown to be a dividing line between the filthy and the cleansed. Why did God choose to do it this way? That’s His business, not mine. I don’t question God. 

When God delivered the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage, he led them to the Red Sea. This was not the regular route out of Egypt. It would have been closer to go to the north, where there was a dry-land route. But God led them to the sea, and made for them a path between walls of water. They were immersed in cloud and sea.

It does seem a strange requirement.  Naaman thought it was and was angered by it.

He reasoned that his home-land rivers were better than the Jordan. They were, if water was all that was needed. But of course water was only the medium chosen by God for this miracle.
 
 
 

When Naaman submitted to God's command, and dipped seven times in the Jordan, he was healed of his leprosy. Some may ask if  there was something in the water that contributed to this healing.  The answer, of course, is yes.  Naaman was in the water, where God told him to be. The healing was by God's power, but it was applied only to an obedient subject. Water became the dividing line between sickness and health.

When Jesus healed the man born blind he used water as the dividing line between blindness and sight. 
John 9: 1

He anointed the man's eyes with clay and told him to go wash in Siloam’s pool. 
I do not know why He did it this way. I only know that the man was blind until he did what the Lord told him to do. When he washed, he could see.
 

God, with divine power, cleansed the world, freed Israel, healed the leper, and gave sight to the blind. In all these manifestations of His power He chose to use water. He told the subjects to use that water as He directed. He withheld the blessing until their faith was demonstrated by their obedience. I do not know why. It has never occurred to me to question God.
It is hard for me to understand why people who claim to have faith in God, will question His command to be immersed in water to have their sins forgiven and washed away.

Seeing all of His examples throughout the Bible, is it so strange that God would choose to use water as the dividing line between the old life of sin, and the new Christian life?

The more puzzling question is how someone who claims to be a  believer,  could "reject the counsel of God against himself?
