Trivia. Semis, 2004. It was 3 offensive plays, and one defensive TD. All long running TD's. Jasper had some speed all over the field back then. This was the Jasper team that lost to Gilmer in the 2004 State Finals 47-49.

By the way, is Jasper's first round opponent determined for sure. I saw conflicting claims.

Madisonville could be a problem game for Jasper. Except for pride this game means nothing to Jasper. But it could kind of salvage the Madisonville season if they were to upset Jasper. Dogs, beware!

I never did understand what pushed Morgan out.

IMO, Jasper lost to Carthage by that much because. 1. Turnovers. 2. Turnovers. 3. Turnovers. You cannot give the ball away that many times and expect to win. Or even keep the game close. But actually, the margin was even worse than the score indicated. As I remember, Jasper scored a late TD against the Carthage reserves. If Carthage had kept the starters in to the end, I shudder to think what the score might have been. Jasper played a much more disciplined game against Center. At least I think so. Center has the ingredients to go a long way in the playoffs. Not every team is going to have the resources to stop your RB that Jasper had. I wish Center the best of luck.

Thus far in the year, it seemed to me that Jasper wore teams down in the second half. Ought to be a good second half!
