It was fine, there was a incident between 2 players in the 5th inning or so. Coaches stepped in and diffused it. Now the fans from 1 of the team in particular on the other hand.........unruly to say the least, or so I've be told

In some bigger schools there are separate booster clubs for each sport.

The entire district is scheduled to play on Saturday. Each team probably has at least 1 member running in the meet.

Why is being run heavy such a bad thing? Cy Ranch lost to a state champion Katy in the playoffs this year, in a later round I believe. Whatever offense he runs, it must be successful to play as they did in the Houston area.

What did you expect? That's the nature of the coaching business. A new guy is hired to run a program. He is going to bring in 2 or 3 top assistants (usually to run his offense, defense, and special teams) that he knows, has his same philosophy, and he can trust. Most places will give the coaches already on staff an opportunity to stay or leave on their own accord. If you get into the coaching profession, you understand this, you may not like it or agree with it, but it's the business.

Ty Cleveland, Sr., Kirbyville hit #'s 2 and 3 today at Franklin tournament.

Everyone in the park knew it was a foul ball except for the 2 people that mattered most....... The 2 umpiring the game. Yes that's right they both said it was a fair ball.

Parker Moye threw for Evadale and James Burchett for Kirbyville. Both threw a quality game. Kirbyville wins 7-4 to close out the tournament. Great games, and hospitality room for 3 days.

Great atmosphere. Did not feel like your typical first weekend tournament game at all. Good game by both teams.

Go to txhighschoolbaseball.com It has all the information on every team in the state. The big districts around here are our 5A, 4A, 3A and both 2A districts. Not sure of the exact numbers but I think the 5a district is 21 or 22, the 4a district is 22 i believe, the 3a district is 23, the 2a districts are 24 and 25. We have 2 6a teams that are in the district with the East side of Houston schools (DP, La Porte, Channelview, etc.) If I have left something out or some one off, please add to it. Hope this helps.

Hempstead was very young last year.....I expect them to compete with LM and EC for district title.
