BC Co District Champs w Lumberton and gets the 1 seed.

Lumberton Co-District Champs w BC and gets the 2 seed.

Winner of this game will get either the 1 or 2 seed Loser will get either 3 or 4 Depends on what happens with BC/Huffman. All 4 teams are tied at 5-1 coming into the last week. Final seedings will be determined by winners/losers of both games and their head to head match up with the result of the BC/HH game. Should be a good game.

Huffman will win their district

Your larger schools that are in multi school districts share a stadium and will play on either Thursday or Saturday depending on the number of teams that are scheduled for that week. Yes, there are an alarming number of smaller schools, that have no reason to play on anything other than Friday's, having to play on Thursday due to the shortage. Thursday's are still better than Saturday's in my opinion.

Fielders Choice. Not a hit

Coach Mitchell has done a remarkable job this year to get them to this point. They are assured of at least a play in game depending on what happens Friday and Tuesday. If the right scenario occurs they will be the 4 seed (Large school 2 seed)

Danbury was solid in 3A, so yes they will be good in 2A. Could be playing a while. Coach Sample does a great job there and always has his teams prepared.

No local schools except for a tournament

2nd year pilot in 5 and 6a... UIL will look at it after this year and make a decision on all conferences. Now that there are split divisions, they will also be entertaining the thought of the state tournament (championship game) being a 2 out of 3 series as well, because of it being it's own round. That may be further down the line though.

No... Coach, ir whoever, has to fill out the PAPF and do it by the book. Not as an afterthought. If the PAPF was filled out, signed off on, approved by the DEC and If they were enrolled in school on the first day, then they are eligible immediately. It's only if you enroll after the 6th day of class that you have to sit out the 15 days.

Anahuac needs to go back to the smash mouth wing t football that Coach Neece made a living at. Yes with the QB you can still spread it out in certain situations, but you can't live and die in the spread.

Huffman is the best team in the district

Even though this season has not been what the Lumberton faithful have been used to, the road to secure the 4th playoff spot is sitting in front of them. Win the next 4, which are very winnable games, and they will be the 4 seed. It will not be easy but beat Liberty and see what happens.

Another Woodville loss to Anahuac at home.... In the Neece Era at Anahuac Woodville has not beaten Anahuac in Woodville. Good win Panthers. Woodville vs Newton for the DC because there is no one else in that district.

Better find a turf field for this afternoon or Saturday morning...Good news is that teams have until Monday to complete this round.

Probably looking at a seeding and a play in game on Saturday from this district. I could be wrong but that is just my opinion.

Just last year Hardin was something like 5-2 or 4-3 at the half way point and then fizzled out did not make the playoffs. This year they were 5-2 at the half way point and have gone 1-5 so far.
