Big Sandy and Deweyville have flipped flopped positions in the schedule for 8:15 Thursday and 9am on Saturday. Kirbyville will play Deweyville tonight at 8:15 and they will play Big Sandy Saturday morning at 9. Always a great tournament put on by Coach Williams, his staff, and Evadale ISD

LOL, no that's when district starts....Baseball season starts today....Everything in between the end of football to now, was just a way to pass the time!!!!

I don't see it as bragging, but rather an interesting fact from a highly successful season. Yes we all know that it would not happen, but interesting none the less. It also goes to the point of emphasis that Coach T and his staff place on all 3 phases of the game and the ability they have to score at any point and time.

You have the matchups wrong as well. Kirbyville will face Hempstead and Coldspring will face LaMarque

Only positive points were used. KV had to beat Buna by 5 to get 3rd, the Buna score late made Coldspring move into the 2 spot.

1st round match ups are #1 Woodville vs #4 Anahuac #2 Cold spring vs #3 La Marque #3 Kirbyville vs #2 Hempstead #4 Buna vs #1 Hitchcock

KV beat Buna by 9 Which was more than the 4 they had to beat them by to get 3rd

From what I have heard, it was voted on to only use the positive points. Which means if Woodville beats Coldspring and Kirbyville beats Buna all 3 end up in a 3 way tie at 4-2. Coldspring is sitting at a +12 and Buna is sitting at a +5. A Kirbyville win of 13 or more gives them the 2nd seed, CS 3rd and Buna 4th. A Kirbyville win of 5-11 gives CS 2nd, KV 3rd and Buna 4th. A KV win of 4 or less gives CS 2nd Buna 3rd and KV 4th. I know not how it usually works and it's crazy but true.

During the season it is supposed to be sent in to the DEC by each coach/home coach. Then in the playoffs its supposed to be posted on Max Preps. Nothing was really thought through before this was voted on. I think that's why it was voted on to pass, but could be with modifications. I think the biggest issue is going to be finding a volunteer to sit there for 5 hours (both JV game and varsity game) to count pitches.

Anahuac should win this week vs. Hardin, setting up a winner takes all for the 4th and final playoff spot vs. EC.

#1 will probably get EC/Anahuac winner #2 will get Hempstead more than likely #3 will get LaMarque/Hitchcock loser #4 will get LaMarque/Hitchcock winner

That's a strong field as well. 2 quality tournaments at a quality facility.

Geez that's a strong tournament; whoever survives that one will be fine tuned for district play that begins the next week. Anxious to see what the first weekend Jasper tourney looks like.

Yes he is ok age wise, but he already played his 4 years so he's not able to play this year. Should've repeated the 8th grade.

Doesn't matter, once you enter the 9th grade you only have 4 years of eligibility. Should have repeated the 8th grade if he wasn't ready for hs.

Coach Landry and Coach Carter have excellent points. Too many people want their hand in the pie and it will create more problems. I am opposed to it. Coaches know their kids and will do what is best for them.
