Funny post in that every HD coach that’s ever dealt with this guy HD55 has started out liking him, and then quickly find out he’s a troublemaker and want to stay as far away as possible from him.

This exact sentiment is why I always say it’s a lose lose for the bigger school to play down. If you lose you lose and if you win it’s like, “well you should, you’re twice as big”. I think that will be the exact scenario with Crosby at 1,818 and Carthage at 824.

Yeah he’ll keep em on track alright..dude has 2 winning seasons out of 12 seasons as a head coach (a smooth 29-88 record leading the stellar southeast Texas programs of Santa Flush and Warren). Of course the powers that be will say “he has experience as a head coach/AD”.

Just bringing to light that the 2 coaches you mentioned that had to teach while being AD had some terrible teams. That’s not coincidence nor was it fair for them to have to teach

I tell you one thing you can believe about Melissa; they have some incredibly beautiful ladies in that town 

I 100% agree with you on that. The thing is the state championship posts are coming from people outside of BH. I’m saying the community has a whole is happy to get the playoffs and have some success. If somehow we catch lightning in a bottle and stars align and we pull a Crosby last year, Great. If we move up to 5A D1 or even 6A then we are in major trouble and have to hope for 4th place finish. I think we know in football that we don’t have the “Joe’s”, but we compete and make the playoffs in all sports. Schools with “ athletes” aka black kids can’t all say that. I know it’s a football thread, but when was the last time Beaumont United or PAM went to the playoffs in baseball or softball? I think we do pretty well and will continue to do pretty well with what we have to work with.

Maybe so. Bones is a super solid candidate. Olympic caliber shot and discus coach as well.

Everybody needs turf. Anyone that wants to argue that is clueless. I’m quite certain a lot of that turf is very affordable these days. There’s a different mind set in setx when it comes to modernizing stuff tho. Every school up here in DFW area has turf; majority of them have indoor facilities.

Word is there’s a dark horse candidate emerging. La Porte offensive line coach Jimmy “Bones” Beasley was seen touring the lavish BH facilities with the supt earlier today. Don’t be surprised if they pull the trigger on this one quickly. 

As an outsider looking in, I think this was all a bunch of hog wash. I could be dead wrong, but I don’t think any coach would whip a kid for bad squats. There’s just no way that even happened. It looks like to me that a bunch of parents got pissed that their little babies were getting coached hard. That kind of crap is the reason we’re where we are in society today. JMO

ask yourself. Did they offer John Kay, Gary Joseph, Cy fairs coach ( I ain’t gonna try to spell his name), or any other high successful coaches from greater Houston area? Why not? Those guys ain’t good coaches?
and BTW why would you hire a guy on a night your baseball team plays in regional finals and your softball team leaves for state?

C E King might have nicest facility in East Houston. Metroplex is a whole different animal. You can’t tell people that in southeast Texas. Most live in a bubble.
