  1. Wow!! All these pages of nonsense. Look people… Note I didn’t say clowns… @CougarCal said it best, you need to be more disciplined in these posts. Crosby is the cream of the crop in the district. PNG is not. Watch a little game film. If we can’t stop the big 3 from Crosby, it’s gonna be al looong  night. If  any of you cl.. dang it , people have watched a game , we are giving up 40+. So, try and run, and keep trying to run, when it doesn’t work, run again. Eat clock, and try and keep it competitive. If anyone of you Think those stats mean a hill of beans, yall coo coo!!!

  2. Let’s get back to the game. I have no idea how to get season stats for the district, but I’m assuming defensively we rank towards the bottom. And assume we must be close to the top in rushing. To the comment above about our defense, we have athletes on that side of the ball, and they do want to make plays, the issue is low football IQ. That puts us out of position on almost every play. Which leads to some better coaching IMO. I won’t waste a ton of typing on the subject, but numbers never lie, and at the end of the day, you are what you are. The only game plan for a PNG win is hiding an IPad in a Crosby coaches hoodie, and hoping he gets caught with it. Now after that being said, I would hope we run the ball 50 times and keep the Crosby offense off the field as much as possible. I do not see this being a close game, however I do see a few ways to keep it competitive. I hope we stay healthy, and have no injuries, which will give us our best chance when we play Texas City. Crosby is by far the class of the district, and I have no problems putting that in writing. PNG is on the other end of the spectrum, and hopefully can pull off a playoff spot, which might build a little momentum for next year. I was glad to see the younger QB get in the game last week, a great learning experience. I have Crosby by multiple scores. All this is just opinions based on my Tecmo Bowl experience.

Lack of discipline you say??  Found part of this sweet essay on discipline.  Seem like the parents and the school over there in Mont Belvieu need to step it up according to this great piece of literature!

Discipline is something that is severely lacking in today's public schools. This lack of discipline is something I have witnessed from the time I was in grade school. Every year the teachers and faculty became less and less strict, and I feel that it has not stopped in the two years I have been out of school. There are many parties to blame, though, not just the teachers and schools. The causes of poor discipline in public schools are parents, lawyers and politicians, and our schools and faculty. Parents play a major role in the declining discipline in schools today.

Parents are becoming more and more lenient when raising their children, so their children are becoming more and more spoiled, lazy, and out of control, which they display in class. If children were afraid of their parents and of being punished, then they would not get in much trouble at school for fear of their parents when they get home. If parents would permit the schools to exercise more discipline instead of forbidding most forms of discipline in schools, more children would behave better and get more of an education. Parents need to take control of their children before our schools can, and they need to allow our schools to keep their children under control.

    Thanks Cal!

I rewatched the game. The QB said something to Kinnett he had a reaction the Ref was right there and heard whatever he said and threw the flag. I can only assume he said something pretty harsh to get ejected.

I was told the choice word he used. And it was to Kinnet. Football has changed since my day, because we said much worse. I can only imagine he said something to the ref after, because I’m getting info from a kid that was on the field, so I assume he said something negative to the ref after the penalty.

You and TradenUp are the most reasonable BH fans on here. Y’all won’t say that stuff but others will. The reason you pay the money to hire Abseck is so you don’t do exactly BH has done the last two weeks. Absolutely no reason BH shouldn’t have finished at least 2nd in the district this year, first year coach or not.

BH currently has their best backfield since Denny and O’Neal, they have their best receiving core in history maybe. Yet they might finish 5th?(I personally think y’all will beat Ned and get in). You can make a good argument for BH having the second most talent in the district this year. That almost never happens.

The most wrong assumption you can make is that y’all will automatically be better in the coming years because two of your best skill players are sophomores though. I’ve made that mistake multiple times myself over the years. May be something to your DC comment as I posted a couple weeks ago. Luckily y’all get a bye week to regroup with Santa Fe coming to town.

BH got away from what was working for them. Maybe over adjusted IMO. They have 2 really good receivers and a quick back. They are very undisciplined and kinda hurt themselves at times. The 2 point thing is mind boggling because their kicker has a big leg. But maybe it’s the style they want to play. I don’t know the percentages on 2 point conversions, but it seems interesting to me. I would like to watch them versus Nederland.

Yes we had a pretty good game. When was the last time you saw and Indian team have over five sacks in a game?

Yeah, it was a pretty good job by our defensive line. And once we made the move and moved the sophomore safety to corner, and brought in the other safety, we looked much better defensively. Their QB getting tossed was a good break for us as well. And we gifted them a TD on the muffed punt. BH was very undisciplined, they had multiple personal fouls.

Upset that Coach Faircloth sits atop the PN-G coaching W/L list?  All the Coach Faircloth haters want to get rid of him. Who would you bring in?  Be careful what you ask for, a return to 1984-1988 or the MB era minus D. Long is just around the corner.

You have no sense. Hopefully you played football in 89. MB went to the dance with Long. Don’t remember BF making it out of the 3rd with Shug. BF might be your GOAT, but don’t badmouth a man that went to the dance in 99. The only thing you have right is the Butch Troy era…. the rest of your post is comical…..

You think maybe its because we only have a handful of seniors on the team? Last week a freshman started.

Not sure we had a freshman on the field. If so I was not aware. Experience is experience. A lot of these juniors played last year. Athletic ability of some of these kids are better than some of the seniors. I refuse to put out names, but a few changes will need to be made in order to be better next year. But I think next year will Be about the same depending on the rest of the district. Offensively, we need a few wholesale changes. And defensively we could be coached up some IMO. At this point I would go man free on defense. I was laughed at this year about we would give up 40 A game, but it’s a possibility. I cannot express enough. Run the ball 40 times a game. I have no issues with the RB. He runs hard. But we need to utilize him versus getting cute. I’m still going with 5-5. Out best chance is BH. TC on film just looks fast enough to give us trouble, especially on the defensive side. But we still have to play the game, win,  And we have chance at the #4 spot. All these are just opinions, based on my TECMO bowl knowledge.

Everybody is always talking about how they want to play in a tough district so that they’re battle tested for the playoffs .  .  .  Until they’re actually in one. Now you have a team ranked 7th in the state at the midway point in the season in danger of finishing in 4th place with a couple losses, which probably includes a first round exit against FBM, or possibly missing the playoffs all together.

Nederland is probably for sure in in at least the three spot but these are possibilities. Kind of have to tip the cap to the district this year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dayton ruin someone’s year.

I can’t imagine the rankings. If Nederland is the number 7 team in the state, it’s a off year in Texas High School Football. I have seen film, and watched them for 4 quarters against us. And nothing told me they are a top 10 team. Double Fusiler, and contain the QB and your golden. They are small, not super fast, and did not have a RB against us. The QB did the running. I think they finish 3 or 4. Depending on BH. Crosby cake walks through the district, BH and TC game will decide number 2 and 3, then Nederland. Dayton might be a wild card, but against us, I didn’t see a team capable of beating a good team.

Let me see... Establish the run = keeps the ball away from the offense of the other team. Keeps the defense rested (you have said multiple times we have no-one to back up the starters). Thus leveling the playing field. Why is it you believe that PNG has lost the game already?

I’m not sure about backups, but I would man up, spy the QB, and take some chances. We have athletes on the defensive side of the ball. They are just out of position. Simplify it, and make the QB beat you with accurate passes. Pound  the rock and limit possessions. Don’t get cute in the play calling and keep it a one possession game. Its worth a shot!!!!!
