No matter when he plays, this is awesome news that he's ok....especially after seeing what we all saw on the field 6 nights ago. 

Ty Dennis has Been released to play football!!

Ehh...I wasn't counting anything after the 2010 season because y'all took our coach. (I noted the 2011 loss only because I remember our 2011 record) Lol.. WT left us when Alavarez and everybody else did. But I do stand corrected on the stats. My apologies. Either way, back to my original reason for even bringing it up....BC beating Kirbyville WAS an upset. Simply because we had every reason to believe we were going to be a contender this year and no one except for the BC faithful thought we would lose that game at all. Heck, most thought we'd be pulling the dogs off by halftime. We still could be that contender but as of now, we're falling short. But tbh I'm using last year's Newton team as an inspiration because y'all started off 1-3...including a loss to Orangefield, a team we beat....yet got it all together and went on to state. I'm holding out hope we'll put it all together and get back to where I know we should be. 

I don't believe anyone is under the assumption this game was owned by either team. BC won, they deserved it. But this was one of those many, many, MANY 'what if' games. What if we didn't lose Ty? What if we score instead of throwing a bone-head pass in the end zone that was returned for a 100yd pick 6? What if the several stupid STUPID unsportsmanlike penalties had not happened? (They were all legit btw....I'm just saying they shouldn't have happened) That's football. Kirbyville will still be more than fine as the season goes on. And so will BC. It was a great, exciting, frustrating game. I'm glad I was there. 

Thanks for all the prayers that was sent up for my son Ty Dennis .. He is doing well now it was a scary moment he was unresponsive for about 45min that's was the worst moment a parent could ever go thru .. But wit all the prayers he just came out wit a concussion an wut they call a spin stinger. There is no time on his return r if he will .. Thanks for all the prayers an concerns for my son

Congrats to BC. This game was ugly in a lot of ways. Several injuries, lots of unsportsmanlike calls on both sides...it could have gone either way but BC pulled it out in the end. My hats off to them. I don't think anybody is over-estimating the Wildcats. I think we were under-estimating BC. Both teams should have great seasons once the kinks are worked out.

A lot of the kids are not in shape to go both ways in this heat like you will see later in the season, therefore you have kids that are not as good playing in these scrimmages and the first few games. This is what a scrimmage is all about, it evaluates what you have. AGAIN, it's just a scrimmage. No one won, no one lost.  Kirbyville will be all right. Good luck to both teams. 

Awesome. Maybe we won't have to worry about all those pesky playoff games after all. 

I can go along with everything except the top two. Kirbyville was too much for EC last year, and they'll be too much this year. I will add though that I think there will be 2 games between Kirbyville and EC this year, and we need to remember the 2010 season of beating Coldspring in the first game, then losing to them in the second (and most important one) on their way to state. Man, I'm ready for season to start. 

After the total dismantling of just about the entire organization following the 2010 season, I'm just happy to see the Cats back in the spotlight again so soon. 

Only time will tell.... E. Chambers / Kirbyville just may be the game of the year. Two very good ball teams.

Not knowing the teams isn't unbiased. It's called spitballing. You obviously don't know anything about Kirbyville and what they have this yr so I'll just say....see you here bright and early Sat, Aug. 29th.
