After Lamarque, I'd have to include some of the Todd Dodge coached Southlake Carroll teams.....best in the country 3 years running.

Nederland played that team twice and lost by the same spread. However, except for (I think) Texas City, we played them closer than any other team. They were beating teams, after our playoff loss, by 50-60 points and shutting some out. They won state going undefeated. If some 90s team was better, then that is scary.

I think I have read enough posts from all you insightful people who spew your generalities and all-knowing philosophies as to how this situation should pan out, even to the point of pointing fingers at players and coaches, before knowing all the facts. I fault the PA News for publishing such a story in the first place. I guess some of their reporters used to work for the Globe or National Enquirer. The basics of being a good reporter start with having ''reliable sources'' from whom you obtain your information. Next, you gather all the info and report ''All The Facts!!". I guess if I called in to the PA News and said I saw coach Faircloth out with another woman [b](sorry coach Faircloth, just an example)[/b], it would make front page tomorrow in the sports section. What more proof do I need? Maybe the News should change their name to "The Gossip Column". Please don't say they were just doing their job. They did it very unprofessionally and towards a community that makes up a majority of their subscribers. I hope their profits exceed and outweigh this transgression.

You could always move. Go to Newton. The taxes are less and they have a very successful high school footbal program. You'd get more bang for your buck.

To the family of Reggie Garrett. I know what you are going through. Matt Robinson, the young Nederland man who collapsed and died at home plate in 2006 was my son. It's so hard to deal with, searching for answers and hoping for strength. I was a basket case. You will find the strength in God and those who are close to you in this time of complete sorrow. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Reggie was a great athlete and from what I have read, he was a class individual too. May God help you find peace.
