@NFLonFOX: Report: Peterson wants to play for @dallascowboys, @Vikings not dealing - http://foxs.pt/1LuCS3y http://twitter.com/NFLonFOX/status/569570985474568192/photo/1

Sorry, I don't want Peterson. All we will hear every game is how he beat his kid. Need to keep Murray.

If, for some reason, they take Peterson, then they should have money to go after a Charles Haley type defensive lineman. This is the Cowboys' main need.

I don't think its a suspension. It sounds like he will be fined an amount that will equal 4 game checks.

Actually opened up a couple of articles titled 4 game suspension but it says in the articles that it is his 3rd failed test so it's a 4 game fine. 4th failed test would be automatic 4 game suspension.

Yall right

The Vikings have all the power here, AP will not be in Dallas next year. The Vikings will either keep him or trade him, and they are likely to ask a kings ransom, 1st round and more. The cowboys would not be able to handle his contract, its much higher than what they would have to pay Murray to keep him.

Yes, Peterson commands lots of money. However, I was thinking he has baggage, this is his 8th season, and lots of teams may NOT want him, which could bring the price down tremendously. I want Murray anyway.

The vikings have already said they want him next year, so they are not going to negotiate for trade offers, they are going to ask for to much and hope someone will pull the trigger. If no one does, then you still have the best back from in the league.

They might have him but its not for certain he'll suit up for em. This is gonna get messy IMO.

1st round pick and maybe a 4th for a guy who's been the best RB in the league for almost a decade. sounds like a pretty good deal. And I don't think he'll command as much as murray will after the season murray just had, combined with the lack of a season AP just had.

You said it...almost a decade. Thats a long long time in RB years. I wouldn't give more than a fourth rd pick for the guy at his age. You might get two good years out of him...maybe. Think Ricky Williams after his hiatus. One good year and a few so-so years, but nothing to brag about.

I can't imagine AP commanding squat on the market. Neither will Minnesota be able to in trying to deal him. Nobody is going to want to pay his contract with them. The Vikings biggest issue will be finding someone who will take a $15M cap hit for the upcoming season. He's also scheduled to make $15M and $17M in '16 and '17 but it looks like those years are past his guarantee. Translation: As I'm sure was contemplated when this deal got done, he ain't getting paid that kind of money in those seasons...

    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.

    • Baseball mafia can cry all they want but when the talent isn’t there it ain’t there lol
    • It's only a matter of time before the baseball mafia starts greasing the tracks to run Crumedy out of town. It'll be a dang shame too, but mark my words.
