1. At least the Ags are battling. UT looked as if they didn't care.....not fired up.
2. You never know when one of your lesser pitchers can outshine one of your aces. I think it is worth the gamble if you don't allow it to get out of hand. Our ace didn't play well.
3.
Just wondered if it is worth the gamble to start a no. 3 or 4 and see how he does then put Wacha in if things get tight...I know what the obvious choice is, I'm just trying to be optimistic in my mind and that would be the best scenario for us.
Excellent idea.
4. UT ran into some great pitching from Florida and NC. Don't know what else to say.
5. Just got home from work. 6 outs away from elimination. Let's Go Horns!!
6. Good thing Tiger isn't playing, Rory would be embarrassing him.
7.
Like the game against ASU, tu still getting the breaks on the umpire's calls/no-calls.  Runner was out at 2nd when stealing, called safe.  Gators only get a double on a home run. Jacob Felts did good getting a single up the middle and then scoring from 1st on a double.  Looks like that was his second run of the game.
It's a conspiracy.  ::) The call at second was an easy one to miss without super slo-mo. The HR, I have no answer for, but you can't hold UT responsible. I think horndawg got it right with our ace not playing up to his potential. Three of Florida's runs were leadoff walks. As a pitcher, you can't do that and expect to win. We're not out yet. Plenty of baseball to play. Hook 'em!
8. Walking the first two batters on nine pitches with a 3-0 cushion doesn't help.
9. Just a little trivia.....I once heard the question asked on ESPN I believe..... "What was the greatest feat ever accomplished in sports?" I thought for sure it had to be DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak, but it wasn't. It's Johnny Unitas throwing a TD pass in 47 straight games. Go Pence!
10. You da man phatmack. I'll bow out now.
11. FSU changing pitchers in the first inning.
12. Worst team in MLB. On track to lose 100+ games.
13. Just messin' with you scalpem. I know it's tough when your team is out. Maybe Texas and LSU can battle it out again like last time, only with a different result.
14.
Hahaha, you can your tail they would've made a better showing then half of the teams that were in the field of 64. There's a reAson the SEC sends so many teams to Omaha every year. Even on down year my Tigers would've thumped tu!
::) :D
15. Phatmack must have had it typed and ready to go!!!! TEXAS WINS and goes to the World Series!!!!!!!
16. Down to one more out for UT!!!!
17. On the interference call, I thought the runner should have gone back to second. Strange call anyway for sure. Wasn't here to see the balk. Hook 'Em!
18. Hopefully the Ags can overcome the inning from Hades.
19. Whoever wins the NC, LSU could have beaten them.  ::)
20. Texas wins 5-1 forcing game 3. Hook 'Em

23. AJ 25, I realize that Pence is not a 30 HR or 100 RBI man, but he is a solid player who gives his all on every play and at bat. On a routine ground out, he is running full speed to first base, forcing the infielder to scoop and throw. I wonder how many times Berkman could have been safe at first had he hustled down the line. If we trade Pence, why do we think we can get two players in return if Pence is not that good. Plus, a trade for prospects is always a crap shoot. Diamonds in the rough are too few and far between. The only way to bring in great players, if not up through the farm system, is to pay them dearly (the Yankees come to mind, and look what Clemens did for the Stros). Carlos Lee attracts the hispanic crowd, of which Houston has a sizeable one.
