  1. Nederland and PNG both bring the house. It's sad when we travel to Houston and play a team that is geographically closer to the stadium and only 100+ fans show up on their side. I can only imagine what those people think when they look across at the sea of black and gold.
  2. This may have already been posted. I think it is updated every 15 minutes. Scroll down to see all the maps. [Hidden Content]
  3. The score was 43 to "didn't want to play". I say 43 to inept coaching or the refs, take your pick... they never get outplayed physically.
  4. No titan, we just keep winning and proving you wrong, which is the sweetest thing to do. You are the one who keeps harping on the state championship junk. We focus on the playoffs, then anything can happen.
  5. We are only under your microscope. No one has picked Ned to do anything either, except make the playoffs. What's so wrong about that? Even PAM can make the playoffs. Remember, 4 of you suckers get to go. Should be a walk in the park.
  6. Would it be better if it was through the air??
  7. NW Florida was the better team tonight, but SLC has nothing to be ashamed of.....49 straight wins in Texas 5A, 3 -peat National Champs, won 80 of 81 games with last loss to Katy in the state title game and lost by 1 point. I'd like to see NW Miami hang a record like that.
  8. Yes, he can throw the ball on a rope too. He just needs to get more comfortable. Practice with a lot of reps will do the trick.
  9. BmtSoulja, I understand the 'giving away' aspect, but it wasn't the case here. I believe there was on fumble on a bad pitch to the RB, but again, he was about to be hit and probably took his eyes off the ball. Waller gave us all we could handle and our defense tightened up when it counted. We had several stops in the red zone because Waller went for it on 4th down many times. Waller's defense was tough against the run and our rushing stats reflect that. Their defense made some excellent one-on-one tackles. We had quite a few dropped passes, and I attribute that to the fact that Bellows is a southpaw. The rotation of the ball is opposite what most are used to, and it takes time to develop a feel for the counterclockwise rotation. We will get better with time and reps.
  10. Actually, most of those fumbles were forced with one being a flat out takeaway for an 80 yard romp. Fumbling the snap from center is also a sign that the QB knows he's about to be hit immediately, making him jiittery, which also goes back to the defense. Waller gave us nothing, our defense earned those miscues with big hits and in your face tackling.
  11. I guess the 80 yard return will go down as a fumble, but Grogan actually took the ball away from the Waller QB, after hitting him in the backfield, and raced untouched for the TD.
  12. Thanks, I hate to say it, but I'm glad he's gone. He gave 110% every play. That's why I go to games, to see players play like that.
  13. Haven't lost power. Flickered and stayed on. Cable was out but came back on a couple hours later. Please hold off on the expletives. After Rita, we were one of the last to get power restored. Everything evens out. I have a generator you can borrow, gased up and ready to go. It will not run the entire house, maybe a window unit and a fridge and a light or two.
  14. Does Vidor still have that RB from last year? #21 I believe. He gave us fits...slippery as an eel and very fast.
  15. Very good post. I bet your parents instilled realistic values in you as a kid. Everyone knew kids like you mentioned growing up, but we moved away and grew up, like you said. I posted earlier that "most" of the time it can fall back on the parents because I believe that you are who you are told you are, and who you are raised to be. People make bad choices every day and this could be the case here. I don't know the kid personally. Hopefully there is a chance he learns from it. I could easily call in sick to work and spend the day in a beer joint. My responsibility to my family and to myself help me make the right choice. Temptation is a weak moment and we all have to learn to overcome and do what is right, not do what we believe gets us "accepted".
  16. It comes with the territory known as "celebrity". It is a self-entitlement that gets out of control. I can't blame all parents, but I'm sure it has a lot to do with most of these cases. Telling their kid how special they are because they are gifted athletes and they can do no wrong, molds this ego. I'm not perfect, but I hold me kids accountable for all their actions. It's what separates adults from adolescents.
  17. Totally donated. Not one red cent from Nederland taxpayers was spent. That's the way I understand it.
  18. Check the Jag's bye week. If Nederland is at home, come check it out. I know you will be wanting to catch a game somewhere.
  19. Probably so. I don't see any way around that. In the 1st pic, if the camera had panned to the right about 15 yards, I would have taken a pic of myself taking the pic.
  20. As I was getting back into my truck, I looked back and the screen was showing the cheerleaders. Of course they are on the track and I don't know how many cameras are hooked up, but possibly can scan the crowds during the game. The screen has a super clear picture. Any blurriness is on me.
  21. This pic taken by visitor's concession stand...9-11-07 This one taken from outside of fence zoomed all the way up with no tripod. Not bad for a hacker....9-11-07
  22. The reason you are unsure is because it is fact, not smack.
