I have two sons, 12 and 13 years old.  They dont understand and keep asking questions about all the shootings going on.  I tell them if you want to act like a fool expect to get shot or beat like a fool. 
I dont care what color you are.

So being a cop or person with a gun you should give this man a chance to come at you and take your weapon and possibly your life? I highly doubt you would have let that happen.

I have no idea what happened other than the information that has been posted.  The video shows a grown man acting like a child throwing a fit and damaging cars. He is not acting like even a reasonable child, and certainly not like an adult. No matter if the cop didn't follow rules, if he is yelling stop and the guy is charging him, I would shoot if I was in that officers shoes. I'm too old to get in a fight and possibly have my gun taken away. Also, with my Ambulance experience, depending on what drug he "could" be on, he does not feel any pain, which makes him stronger. That would be a significant threat.
Now, If he was not charging and was just standing there running his mouth, he should not of been shot. I would still like more information.
and BTW, had he not broke into the place, none of this would have happened.

lol.. he will be ready..   All this football talk has me so ready to go watch all the local games I can.. Also waiting on some of the Beaumont teams to come to baytown I have been telling both my boys they have some talent and teams to watch in regards to good football.

Well, keep him on the biscuits and bring him over. BH's best d-lineman just transferred over for his freshman year, Crosby is probably the best place for him to get a look around here.
Keep in mind that GCM couldn't even make the playoffs in a district who's champ lost to a squad that won 4th on the last day of the season. Ozen even got in at 4-6 last year. If they can't win now just imagine how they'll be crushed when they're a small 6A in the district with North Shore. Do the right thing man, lol.  

I"ll check at one of the four newly established Post Offices in Crosby due to the present influx of residents. At that height and weight he may need to grow 4 or 5 " and put on another 20#'s but it's doable. Social media, Vype, the Hou Chronicle, Dave Campbell, the coaching staff, administrators and you name whomever else is turning the little town once only known for the "Stomp" (an old dancehall but aptly named for how Crosby athletics treats others) into a Mecca for football. Looks like we won't have the same problem as Odessa P had when the oil dried up and everyone vacated, there's plenty of oil here....

Are you boys serious bringing JH Gentry Mustang smack talk to an elite Crosby Cougar thread. At Crosby we use a MLB type farm system approach. The youngsters get their feet wet learning about Code Red and when the time is right they advance through the franchise. Every once in a while a Correra (Sqwirl Williams) comes thru and bypasses the process. By the time these boys are freshmen graduates they are darn near ready to walk out that prestigious Cougar tunnel with sledgehammer in hand to thrash their next opponent so they could careless how they got beat by a Danny Botkin led 8th grade prep squad!! 

Looks like GCM Varsity will be sporting new helmets this year.  Hadn't seen any thing about them like everyone posts the other schools.. Look to be a Dark Grey or black.. But dont hold me to those colors.

Dove, when you put the ACLU to work regarding health or safety hazards, would you ask them also about how a t shirt with a confederate flag on it qualifies as a health or safety hazard?

While you're correct that she had the right to not put out the cigarette, what people keep failing to realize is that he had the right to arrest her the second he witnessed her commit that traffic infraction.  So while she did not have to put it out, if that was the last straw in the steady stream of disrespect she was throwing his way that led him to decide to arrest her instead of letting her off with a warning or a ticket, then that's her fault, not his.  If an officer isn't going to arrest someone but decides to because of their poor attitude and disrespectfulness, that's on the citizen, not the officer.  If the citizen then throws a fit and kicks the officer because they don't like the fact that he's arresting them on a legitimate charge, the new charges they earn are on them as well.  

If Channelview ever holds a team to 3pts just hand them the district title and state championship lol 

Saw some of the GCM practice this week and the offense is looking sharp. Looks like they have some surprises in store for the rest of the district. Stephen Adams looked strong running the ball. Kid's going to be a handful for most teams. The defense was really flying to the ball. My only concern was that I didn't see a lot of size on the d-line but all in all they look like they should be improved from last year. I'm feeling even more confident the Pat' s will earn themselves a playoff spot this year.

i sense a breath of fresh air is needed as far as coaching staff? Maybe those kids (parents) want to win. How were the football participation numbers there when Price was there? I remember them having a couple of large squads back in the day when they played my alma mater.

​Just depends on how the talent is used. We had way to much size standing on the sideline to get gashed over and over. Put some size on the D-line and plug some holes and our defense will improve right there.
