pride at impact reacted to Stattrax in Uil Football Championships on the move(No Jerry's World in 2015)
I made a comment last year... It ridiculous how its ended up..... All the transfers, dynasty's, etc. Then moving everything to Dallas.. Art Briles was quoted after the 99 championship game with us in the Astrodome as saying, " He would never agree to play there again because of the 35k PN-G fans." I feel the same about Dallas. Its a great advantage for those teams.

Everybody knows that. Thats why they play travel ball . I wouldnt say better than PNG though. PNG will always and forever hold the winning record against BMT.

I would like to see that BC Jasper game. I've heard a lot about BC. The 4a division (don't like small school term) is a tough division this year.

pride at impact reacted to jag86 in STJFL SR Predictions
Yes They did win three in a row but one of them was a against vidor. We beat them one time and they beat us one time in the SB. The winner of the SB this year will not be stripped whomever win it will truly deserve it! Its some really good teams in the Sr division this year. Believe me I'm keeping up with it. We really miss playing but its ok our boys are having fun and thats all that matters!! No ill feeling toward no one and may the best team win it. My money is on the Ned Team though!! I'm a super fan of some of those young men that play in Mid County!!

pride at impact reacted to hunch in usssa baseball
guys it is not some big secret. There are 2 different organizations that the teams are affiliated with. It is only normal for the gladiators and piranhas to play nations, since they host those tournaments. Likewise for the vipers, they are affiliated with USSSA baseball and play their tournaments. I know in the past, both have played each others tournaments from time to time but teams don't necessarily like playing back to back tournaments on a regular basis.
For drama purposes, did any of ya'll play that Wolverine team? poor attitude, sportsmanship, and classless group of coaches and parents.

pride at impact reacted to Rake1 in Nederland Babe Ruth League (13-15)
Ridiculous statement!! Nederland Babe Ruth is unmatched in 13-18 year old baseball for overall competition, atmosphere and talent level. Nederland Babe Ruth routinely draws some of the best talent in the triangle in all age groups. I know plenty of boys who came from other towns besides Nederland that would gladly tell you the Babe Ruth experience was some of the most fun and competitive baseball they play. The opportunity to play competitive baseball with your friends is a welcome break from travel ball for many players. The quality of players that show up maintain a high level of baseball while the social aspect of playing against others who do not play travel ball is a perfect combination that is not duplicated anywhere locally. When a league has the year in year out success that Nederland Babe Ruth has and draws as many players from all across the triangle as it does it's awful hard to argue with their level of success. One more thing for you to think about, if "your Pony league" was such a great option why would you need to "re-start" it? Seems like if it was that good it never would have stopped in the first place.

pride at impact reacted to Gabe in DuBois to Bridge City
Dubois is a home run for BC. People were mocking the list of applicants and all the while it was well thought the Cardinals would land him. No matter now what all went on in the past because that's over with, I wish Coach Dubois all the best and think he's a guy the entire BC community can stand behind and not be divided over. -
pride at impact reacted to TxHoops in National Championship- Ohio State vs Oregon
Is Oregon the Buffalo Bills of CFB? Luckily we have 4 that get in now. They might have a hard time getting a nod in a 2 team system. It just hasn't come together for them in the big game. Few programs are as consistently impressive as they have been, during the seasons. -

pride at impact reacted to PhatMack19 in Hill to TCU?
He is free to transfer anywhere he pleases. Sumlin didn't block any schools as that is the way it should be.

pride at impact reacted to PhatMack19 in recruiting already a college athlete
A few years ago Oklahoma St blocked the transfer of Wes Lunt to 37 schools! No Big 12, SEC, or Pac 12 and a handful of others that Okie Lt might play in bowl games.
It's complete crap that coaches can do that. I can understand blocking transfers within conference, but other than that they should be free to go wherever they want.

pride at impact reacted to 5GallonBucket in N.E. Texas vs S.E. Texas
There is a work ethic issue along with taking ownership for your actions in SETX. Not saying there is no work ethic in SETX.
too many parents coaching from the sideline and undermining coaches as well as placing blame on coaches/teachers instead of holding child responsible for his/her failures.
