  1. It's on the YMBL website. The boys bracket has 8 teams: Central, Ozen, Memorial, West Brook, Longview, Sharpstown, Harker Heights, SATCH.
  2. I can understand them being violent, but I wouldn't think being a part of ISIS. I listen to K'naan and the stories that the Somalians had to live through is crazy.
  3. Only worried about that next game. You cannot reach 20-0 without first being 17-0.
  4. Biggest game in the state so far was today as 3A #1 Brock beat 4A #2 Abilene Wylie 50-36.
  5. Just saw this. Tonight is against the Lakers. I hope we can break it, but I would love to see another Larry O'Brien in June.
  6. I thought about that, but remembered they are the least hated by Texas Tech's AD. If it was Baylor or TCU in the same predicament then Notre Dame would be in.
  7. Was this game because Big Sandy needed a game or it is more for the girls?
  8. No everyone knows that in Arkansas women only marry their cousins.
  9. Nothing wrong with that. They only have 700 students and have had 4A numbers for years. Their district won't let them drop. If they did drop they would become a power. It is similar to Lincoln who was finally allowed to drop last year. The fact that they are ranked in 5A with 1/3 of the population as other schools just goes to show how good they are.
  10. Yeah, I was meaning last year. I think that would have been a good game. Dunbar in 4A would be a challenge and it would be exciting to see them have a chance to win state against Silsbee and Hardin-Jefferson. I feel that they would be ranked top 5 in 4A this year and last year.
  11. Beating Kennedale is a good win. Still hoping they will play Dunbar to see who the best 4A team is.
  12. I heard that Kliff spent this weekend hunting and has as of this morning found 10 of his defensive starts in the mountains of New Mexico. They had gotten lose after Arkansas. Hopefully he finds the 11th and the defense will be good on Thanksgiving.
  13. When you try to bankrupt the flagship university, a candidate promoting education is probably going to do well. Saying that, this looks bad for Texas. If Louisiana starts to do better than us than only Mississippi and Alabama do worse than us.
  14. The unbeatable Crosby Cougars just lost. Does this mean it's possible for Golden State to lose? Tell me it is a mistake and Crosby really won.
  15. We booked next year, but from 2017 we are ready. Y'all have that home and away with the school that likes to get high, so 2018? We should have a defense that exists by then (A legendary defense like this year doesn't win many games)
  16. With the crackdown on FCS teams and an always unpredictable Big 12, we do need at least one automatic win.
  17. Garrity you know the real reason. Bielema doesn't want to see the Raiders come swooping in no more.
  18. Ohio State will lose one of its next two games. Iowa will lose in the big 10 championship game. OU and OK State will cancel each other, if one of them doesn't lose this weekend. Notre Dame at Stanford will be an upset watch game.
  19. To be the best you have to beat the best. To beat the best you have to want to play the best. Pool C and D have the best.
  20. I just meant being a Warriors fan y'all might think I was being sarcastic. Birdman is just not getting any playing time in Miami and I like the idea of players spending their final year or two playing for either their first team or their hometown team. As long as they are effective and the team can handle it. For example if Stephen played for the Warriors for 15 years and then for his final season signed with Charlotte that would be great because it is hometown and where people have looked up for him. Birdman is from Iola and played at Blinn. He is a person young players should look up at. He would also help Capela more than Howard.
  21. I am gonna get called out for this, being a Warriors fan, but I really wish there could be a way the Rockets would get Birdman. I know y'all already have Dwight and Capela, but it would be fun to have Andersen play at home. Come full circle basically. He is a player I would pay to see with his rebounding expertise. I know it won't happen, but I think it would be great. He has been a very underrated player.
  22. It was usually 3A or 4As. They actually lost in the regional finals. Never made it to Austin. The one time they lost before the regional finals was the regional semifinals to a team Lipan lost to the next day. I have heard a lot about the Buna teams of the 50s and 60s. They are up there with the Canyon and Nazareth girls. What makes the Central Texas region different is it has not just been one or two teams. From 1 town that has made state 10 times out about 30-35 miles every school has been to state in basketball at least once. I think it is around 20 schools.
  23. What stands out to me is with 1A the past few years is the fact that the 3rd best team in the state never made it to state. Lipan's class of '14 went to state 3 times. All 3 times they beat Strawn and their class of '15 in the regional final. They were also in the same district. That Strawn class went 119-27 over 4 years yet never made it to state. 9 of those losses were to Lipan and only 1 other was to a 1A. I saw them last year go wire to wire with ranked 5A San Angelo Central with their best player sick. Add in Brock 15 miles down the road from Lipan, I would say that area does pretty well in basketball. They are on the outskirts of the Central Texas region. The middle is not as good now, but history wise it is the best in the state for basketball.
