  1. Petty wanted to play and the offense looked terrible. It had nothing to do with the heisman it had to do with getting the team ready for the big 12. Briles is old school and that rubs off on his players. They are tough.
  2. He'll be fine. The next two weeks he only has to play until halftime. He's tough and unless he's on his deathbed I don't think he's gone miss any gametime or even run less.
  3. Baylor is and should be considered the best in Texas. Baylor gets better every year and now with the new stadium will get top level recruits. And yes they did lose to UCF which had 1 month to prepare for the offense compared to 1-2 weeks during the season so that did make a difference. Texas A&M is very close but I think this year they are young. Very young. Next year will be the Aggie championship run. Briles history has proven that he is a genius building programs from nothing: Stephenville (4 state titles) to Houston and now Baylor. Sumlin kept Houston at that level and has risen A&M to the top. And this is coming from Red Raider who can't wait to see Kliff do the same as his former bosses and bring Tech back after Tuberville utterly destroyed all hope for anything.
  4. Yes but Murray could redshirt and then have 2-3 years starting.
  5.   To be fair they did find the past three Heisman Trophy winners only they saw them as DBs not QBs
  6. I think the QB question has been answered. This is Texas after all. If you don't cant find a D1 QB in your town just go to the next there is bound to be one close
  7. I thought about putting them with TCU maybe even ahead but this conference is anybody's game. The first four teams are ahead of everyone but the next three are close. Gave KState the edge cause of Snyder. I expect no team to go undefeated though which means none in the playoff.
  8. Baylor is the favorite but honestly in this conference you never know. Strong is trying to bring something that the Big 12 hasn't seen since Nebraska left in defense and a running based offense. Oklahoma will always be there but they, as well as Texas, have to travel to the Panhandle. Been to Jones Stadium many times and that wind plus the craziest fans in football makes it one of the toughest places to escape with a win. Then there's TCU, Kansas State, and even Oklahoma State all who can play with anyone else if they stay healthy. Picks: 1. Baylor T2. Oklahoma & Tech T4. Texas & Kansas State 6. TCU 7. Oklahoma State
