  1. It is but the schools majority of the schools are not. China Spring is 15 miles northwest of Waco. Gatesville and Lampasas are farther than that. The only school closer would be Taylor.
  2. Build my hometown a new gym.
  3. Looking at things the only place Navasota can go is either east to Orange or south to Brazosport. They will travel no matter what the case. If Houston has 8 schools then they are one district by themselves. JV and Freshman will be difficult. JH would not as Navasota is in a district with BCS schools.
  4. Those seem like close games, especially if it is just football only.
  5. Then it makes sense. They come in thinking they need to make sure things don't get out of hand. Local refs may not have called that because they know the teams.
  6. What chapter were the refs? If they were out of area it makes perfect sense to be called a tech.
  7. I think Aldine and Cypress districts will be switched. Cypress is just more region III than II. As for the rest does the other Young Men's in Fort Worth have football or will it be basketball only because a 6 team district in DFW 6A does not make sense? And has the decision on San Angelo been decided yet? San Angelo wants in that district, but Amarillo basically said no; San Angelo needs to go towards Austin and San Antonio because of the non-football Tuesday night sports. If they are placed Tascosa may petition down again and will be interesting how UIL rules on that one. It is better than the 10 team a few years ago, but 2 hours to your closest game is not good for academics.
  8. Sadly this was not even close to being the biggest blowout in the state last night.
  9. Have a feeling the Browns will give him an unconstitutional punishment for missing the game: Another season of will he/won't he start for the Cleveland Browns next year.
  10. Don't have the link but according to yahoo sources, Manziel is through in Cleveland after today. Didn't even show up to the stadium for the game.

  14. That's her. She averaged 30 last year in an area where girls teams score 40-50 points so it doesn't seem that surprising if a team tries to make them run like east Texas teams do. Shooting is natural for the area. Scariest part is that 10 miles north of 60 student Lipan is 350 student Brock. Both are at state every year.
  15. Have you heard of the semifinal scores by any chance.
  16. This is Wylie in south Abilene and yes they magically stay just under the 5A cutoff every two years. There's also Wylie in North Dallas which has two 6A schools. That was the Wylie that went to Hardin Jefferson either this year or last.
  17. Lanie Roberts. If Lipan wins that's why. I saw one of the teams in their district today, Gordon, beat a fellow 1A team that will win their district easily and should go 2 or 3 rounds deep. Lipan will be favored over Gordon by 50.
  18. I am big on Brock but after the Big Sandy game I knew it would not be close. If it is was not for that game I would have said 15, but Big Sandy pushed it to 30, which it was.
  19. Lipan looking like they might finally break the barrier and finish 2nd in district this season.
  20. Was just about to post that. So probably at least another 30 point win if not more.
  21. Would be a great matchup if they and Lipan play. The sophomore guard versus Lipan's senior guard.
  22. Tomorrow's schedule: Winner's semifinals: Carthage vs. LaPoynor 5:30 Tenaha vs. Winner of Lipan/Schulenburg 8:30 5th Place Bracket: Kountze vs. Alto 2:30 Laneville vs. Loser of Lipan/Schulenburg 2:30 San Augustine vs. Chireno 10:00
