I never thought he would be that good as a freshman. I wasn't sure how the track speed would translate to the field in high school but he's probably exceeded expectations, especially durability-wise. I expect him and Grace to both rush for 1000 yards apiece the next couple of years if they stay healthy. I think Craig can be the same type of explosive player Austin was.

You guys, full of sooo much football knowledge crack me up with no common sense. I mean that in a good and insightful way cause all of you really bring a lot of experience and fundamental football but sometimes it's more than that. Let me explain. Tradition is great, every school and alumnist loves to boast about all their trophies, titles, and past accomplishments but those kids in THIS moment could careless if thirty years ago our school lost on penetrations in the dome to get knocked out of a state title run. It just doesn't matter nowadays. Example: these Crosby kids that come from Barrett Station or Newport or Lake Shadows or the two we paid from (just kidding) come from different walks of life and as kids meet at a football game on Fridays to play street ball in the grass while their brother or uncle or cousin or sister perform that night waiting til it's their turn to be the ones performing. Although they do not remember the score, they do however remember the passion and that's what counts. What matters is that brother you lineup with in the huddle that you've grown to respect and give 100% for in this moment, for this Team. So come gameday for these boys you can throw tradition out the window cause though it means the world to the Program it means nothing to the Program!!! CC TAKEOVER let's go BOYS!!

IDK P4E? All we can go off of is PLC who was the only semi-common opponent.

Ridge Point only beat Marshall 13-0, PLC beat them 30-14 after spotting them 2 tds. Crosby beat PLC by 22 but it wasn't really even that close.

PLC was only down 6 points to GR with 4 mins left in the game before GR scored with 3 mins and change to make it a 12 point margin. Crosby literally whipped them from whistle to whistle. During that game PLC also ran for 400 yards on GR, they had less than 300 total on Crosby and 48 of those yards came on one pass play in the fourth quarter with the backups in. Crosby also beat Angleton in Angleton by more points than GR did.

It's all about matchups this time of year. We'll just have to see what we can do this week against the team that blew GR out last year.

Hey man, I feel you. I would be salty too if my team was dominated by Crosby the way Ned has been under Neumann, playoffs and all. Good luck this offseason, hopefully your players make it through healthy so they can be there to take the beating Crosby will be handing out in mid-county for next season's opener. I know Ned doesn't try to win non-district games but it must suck to already know you'll start the season off 0-2 for the second consecutive year before fall camp even starts. Look on the bright side though, PNG and Vidor will still be there for y'all to "improve" on during the season.

Guy's squad goes 6-5 losing to EVERY team they played west of the Trinity. Ned finished one game above .500 or less for the 3rd time the last 6 years so obviously your historical stats couldn't even help your own team. Talk IS cheap Bigdog, so is all that barking y'all do while those 21-5a boys are busting that arse.

You don't ALWAYS BELIEVE what you write do you? Crosby earned its spot and you as an "inspirational" teacher want to tear down a team's accomplishments by hypotheticals. You of all people should know not to play the transitive properties game. But since that's your basis it means you would have to admit George Ranch would hang 50 on Dayton. By the way, how was that 12 point beat down of Calhoun? Crosby was up by basically 30 at the half and then called off the dogs. Also if you are looking for a Sonic commercial idea for you and your boy, Crosby put a 41 cent corn dog special on the Broncos this year...and you can ALWAYS BELIEVE that there was extra mustard to go around.

I know Brenham has the tradition but looking at how the season has played out for both teams I'm beginning to wonder if Crosby is just better than Brenham? Brenham's defense has struggled all year with above average offenses and their defense gets gashed on a regular basis. Brenham's qb is solid but he only has one real go to receiver that was held to one catch last game, I think Crosby matches up well with him. If Crosby can keep Patterson somewhat in check I don't think Hill can beat us. IMO Crosby can put 40 on Brenham if needed but I don't think Brenham can do the same if the defense continues to play like it has. If Crosby plays relatively mistake free I think they could actually win this one by more than one score.

Aren't you from PNG, the home of being overconfident? How is it hilarious they felt good about their chances in a second round game to a team with the same record coming off a 1 point second round loss to the state runner-up last year? It's hilarious y'all haven't actually won a playoff game in a few years. Difference in the programs is that the Dayton/PNG game was pretty much even but Dayton won by 12. Angleton pretty much outplayed Dayton but was somehow still down 7 in OT. I'm not sure I would call the 2 point try confidence, it was probably just the opposite. I know all that could be hard to absorb with the sounds of bricks in the background though.

Well, this game went about how I expected but I figured Dayton would at least get Keener and McBride a few more opportunities in space to break the game open. Have to be able to stop the run in the in the playoffs or at least slow it down. Angleton ran for nearly 400 yards of Dayton but the telling factor was that Angleton ran 79 total plays to Dayton's 37. Very hard to win like that but somehow Dayton almost did. With Keener, McBride, Chambers and Baughmann graduating, Dayton will need to rely heavily on their trench play next year if they want to make some noise. Solid season for the Broncos, just ran into a tough matchup. See y'all in Dayton next year.

He'll probably be here a while then, at least for the next five or six years looking at what Crosby has coming through the pipe. Expect the Cougars to run their current playoff streak from the 10 years it's at now to at least 15 or 16 before the question even arises about being down. That's with coaching being the constant of course. A new school built for twice the current capacity, athletic facilities improvements that could attract even more athletes combined with a steadily rising enrollment? Code Red might be making noise until my kindergartener graduates.

In other words, the well has plenty of oil in it.

The worst part about the sweep for 22-5a is that the teams will be even better next year, especially Crosby and King with what they'll return. I honestly don't think any team from over there would have finished higher than a 5th place tie with BH. Look for KP to fall back once Henderson leaves and for BH to get the 4 spot and try for the sweep in consecutive years. I believe the last 20 games against our eastern neighbors we're 17-3 including 10-2 in the playoffs. It's a district with declining enrollment versus one where the overall enrollment is going up combined with better coaching. I see us having th upper hand for the foreseeable future, not saying we won't lose our share but I thnk the overall performance will be better.

. . . And we have everybody's pelts you lost to lining our wall. It's a shame Vidor can't make the playoffs again so Crosby can beat them down and shut up the boasting about the Cougs only first round loss the last 7 years. We've played once in recent history because Vidor has been a doormat for most of history and only has that one first round win since the Eisenhower administration. As many T's as you seen thrown up on your team this year I'm sure you know all about it, but we'll try to have more T's than PLC.
