The difference is Dayton can actually beat Crosby on Friday nights too, Nederland can't. Ned needs those wins in the younger levels, otherwise they couldn't be like BH every year and talk about what they have coming through the program that can actually beat one of the teams off 90. Don't worry though, my little cub will be a freshman next and I'm sure they'll put it on Nederland for you.

I know our stats that go in to the UIL are kept by the staff and entered into Maxpreps. Maybe SETX doesn't have the funds to have enough assistants for such tasks, which is another can of worms? People who really care about stats know how to find them and where to get the most accurate ones from.

There's a big difference beating up on the teams in the Triangle vs trying to beat teams in a district where all 4 squads went at least three deep with two making it to the semis or further. The coaching in Spring ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, Klein ISD and Katy ISD is just flat out better than what the Triangle can produce right now.

Crosby freshman running back was recently named to and played with the Adidas freshman All-American team. He rushed for 888 yards on 112 attempts with 11 tds, also had 18 receptions for 333 yards and 3 more tds. As a freshman he's already being recruited by TCU, Tech, and Kentucky. Awesome season for a kid I used to watch in 8th grade last year.

I believe Williams with the sophomore Grace who rushed for 968 yards and 15 tds will give Crosby one of the most formidable backfields in the state for the next couple of years. If these kids stay healthy I think they could eclipse what PAM's backfield has done the last couple of years. Good times in Crosby, good times . . .

They were better than alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of us this past season.

The enrollment may slowly rise but the community's growth rate is almost 5 times less than the Texas average. As the enrollment caps go up with the growth of the state PNG as well as some other schools in that area will be caught unless there's an influx of residents that move in and raise the rate.

Nah, they're headed in the right direction though. If only they could recruit half as good as da Bulldogs, then maybe they'd be better.

If you were just watching the game and didn't know anything about the players I would have to say Blake Lynch was the best player on the field with Demarco Boyd being second. DT is more sought after than those guys because of how he projects at the next level. They want the long Dbs to cover the big receivers now days and if he can tighten up a couple things at 'Bama I think he'll be able to play on Sundays.

The best 4A player in the state this year was either Stidham at Stephenville or Mack at Gladewater but DT may have been the best overall athlete in 4A this year. I think at this point DT is more Dre Kirkpatrick than Eric Reid but only time will tell. Either way though, he got the shaft in the all-state team, but that's the AP for you.

How is Cedar Park gonna be, cause after the first week of playoffs, you'll be back on their bandwagons!

I know this does not matter but people were saying the same thing to Dayton in 08 because Tivy beat Steele and how they were just to tough for Dyaton to handle . So Coogs yall have nothing to lose play Cougar ball with the heart and stamina yall have been playing with and send them chumps home . Remember play every game like yall are playing Dayton. YALL GOT THIS  

When you make it to the semi-finals there is no underdogs,turnover/penalties/field position usually decide these games.Won't be any tire flippin @practice next week getting ready for Jerry World,I'm callin ahead to see if Jones could have some me some froglegs :D

They must specialize in prosecution law. Eveyone knows the aggies know nothing about defense.

Call me crazy, but I think this is the best matchup Crosby could've drawn this late in the playoffs. They run the ball about 90 percent of the time which i think is a good thing for Crosby. Crosby's defensive line is big and physical at the point of attack as some of you heard on Hutto's broadcast, and our defensive backs salivate on coming downhill to play the run. Hutto's qb gained a lot of rushing yards because they put so many people in the pattern you had to cover that it left open running lanes. I don't think that will be the case with Cedar Park, the more physical they try to make it the better it is for Crosby.

Lol, I was just messing around I saw the clip of dayton game and I was like better let the crosby posters know, crosby can't go anywhere without dayton, lol, jk.

 Just make sure when your run over their speed bump arse you goose the peddle a little and take a little hide with it and  let them know Southeast Texas was there !

I am sure some of these parents who are not in favor of school being closed on Friday, is because they aren't gonna get that free baby sitter for their kid that day.... 
 
   Congrats again to the cougars... It is for sure one of the most exciting time's for the kids and the community... Soak it all in and enjoy... 

Not only does Crosby have the best team, coaching staff, cowbell ringing fanbase, local beat writers on SETX.com, but also the best Superintendent and faculty staff on the planet. Now even the local Liberal media has to spin the decision to let school out Friday into a NEGATIVE light instead of praising these young men and this program for all their accomplishments and hard work. There was a moderator abusing his power and defacing people from Crosby's profile but they couldn't do the same to his. He pm' him to express his thoughts and was subsequently banned. This was only happening to Crosby people and it was for less than what other poster's actions covered. There's more credence given to the "we'll win because we have heart" theory, or the "this is what we do" approach instead of actually using some type of statistical analysis to form opinions which exactly why people outside of this region laugh at most of us. Some people from the SETX area are still living in the glory days.

Everyone knew with Crosby never being this far and Cedar Park having a state title that Crosby would be called the underdog, but as everyone has seen playoffs are never like people believe they will turn out. I believe Crosby will win this game. They will come out and play their hearts out. They have a chance to make history for their town. They are playing with pride right now and pride can take you a long way. 
 
With both teams having good defense it will be close.
