Just to be fair to the Crosby fans, SC never got out of the second round and is currently struggling against schools their size. I believe we have more reason to be optimistic.

Central 21-30-1 last 5 yrs=not from lack talent=coaching & not sold currently,their better teams did hang w/SC I witnessed first hand.As a district it's the overall lack of defense holding em back,special teams play & kicking game,atheletes they have.Overall 21-5a has better coaching,Livingston had winning record over 6 yrs there,4-2 vs everybody except Ned/Vidor  2-4  & Lumberton 3-2-1 tie**Liv winless vs Dayt since 1961 that I know.Liv/Lcm have moved elsewhere,getting Lee/Gcm was worse.Gcm has never sniffed bi-dist trophy since it opened=not from lack talent.If next alignment Dayt/Bh(both closer) go east look out,district will become stronger from competetion,Bh is currently blooming w/ jobs,housing,retail & is a good spread coach from becoming playoff regular,currently can't defend what you don't do=pass regular

That's how I think it will go too. I think  BH is still a year away and not a real threat for a playoff spot this season. I like PNG to win the district but I think 22-5a's best chance for a playoff win will be against our D1 #2 rep., which is the only teams that's lost the last 3 years. That would be your Humble, New Caney or Kingwood Park. 
The district is pretty legit for 2015. Last year we had six, this year I'm predicting 7 teams finish .500 or better.

Just curious. If you've never seen Harrison play, how could you state in another post that Netherly should be playing QB over Cotton ?

Teams like PNG are the ones who Crosby has dominated the last couple of years. We're 23-4 the last two season and all 4 losses are to teams that could run the ball and play defense like Elgin, Cedar Park, Summer Creek and King. PNG can't run the ball or play defense and they certainly don't have the talent levels the other 4 teams. Throw in the fact that Crosby has a far superior talent level and coaching staff and you're probably going to get a bad result. 
Crosby is one of the worst matchup a for PNG in the entire state, PNG would be one of our best. Take that for what it's worth. 

Crosby likes to play marquee games in pre-district. Central is a decent squad but they don't rise to the level of a team we would get anything out of playing pre-district. You can't beat Nederland and we already have them on the schedule to go with Angleton who's a squad that would probably crush Central. I can say this though, other than Dayton, Central in '05 and vidor in '11 are the only team from your district to beat Crosby in a playoff game the last 10 years. I guess that's a positive but there's tons of teams better than Central for us to put on the schedule before we go there. 

To Aggie fans it doesn't matter if they finish 9th or 10th in the SEC. As long as 'Bama, Auburn or LSU win the title they're good. It gives them another year of, "I know we weren't that good but somebody from out conference still won it" rhetoric.

​I'm not really sure how you figured those numbers up. I went from the time TCU entered the Big 12 in 2012. The first number is the national rank and the second is their Big 12 rank:
TCU classes: 2012(42)(7), 2013(42)(7), 2014(35)(6), 2015(29)(5)
The overall class average is 37th and 6.25 in the Big 12
Baylor classes: 2012(26)(3), 2013(27)(3), 2014(26)(3), 2015(37)(5)

Patterson's best class in the Big 12 was 5th while Briles hasn't finished with a class less than 5th in that same period. Patterson has a BCS Rose Bowl victory over a JJ Watt led Wisconsin team without a single 4 star recruit on the team while Briles has lost both of his BCS games with multiple 4 stars, better rosters than the opponents and gives up about 50 ppg in the process. Briles came to Baylor who was already in the Big 12 and went 8-16 his first two seasons, Patterson brought non-power 5 talent to the Big 12 and went 11-14. Neither was impressive but Patteson was still better.
Yeah, we can just disagree on Strong and Sumlin. I've never seen Strong lose a game where he was favored by probably 20+ like Sumlin lost with Keenum to So. Miss. I've never seen him produce back to back 10+ win seasons and I also never seen him win a conference title or BCS game like Strong has so we definitely won't agree there.
I don't hate on Sumlin and I certainly don't want him to fail. There aren't enough black coaches in the FBS as it is, I certainly don't want to see any fired, especially in the SEC where they fly Dixie like it veteran's day. I'm just calling it how I see it.

​Dylan Mack was probably a bit of a different case. He was an attention guy. Kendall Jones was working on Little the whole time they were at the Opening. It's a lot more likely Little will commit to Alabama and go with Jones than re-committing to Aggie, they've also produced a few linemen lately. I think you'll see A&M start to lose a lot more recruiting battles to teams that are beating them on the field in the SEC west which will ultimately translate to even more losses. A&M needs to win bad this year or the bottom might fall out.

​Manor is legit though Tex. They probably produce the most talent in their district, Temple included. They held Temple to 28 points last year in district play and only lost to Hutto by one point the last regular season game. IMO Eric Fowler, their DE/OLB hybrid, will be the most impactful defender in 5A this year a lot like James Lockhart was at Ennis last season. They're like a cross between King and Central, except they have more size. If they have decent qb play, which is their problem most years, they have the talent to hang with pretty much anybody in 5A.    

Even though they're ranked 4th I still feel like Crosby is being slept on. I understand you have to put the teams there that have already done it though. I think the Old Coach and the FNF magazine they put out are the best depictions of THSF put in print.
My top 5 would be:
1. Aledo
2. Vandegrift
3. Crosby
4. Cedar Park
5. John Tyler
I put Aledo first because of the history but I would favor Vandy over any 5A team in the state right now. Crosby and King could both win the region this year like Cedar Park and Vandy did in region 4 last year.

​I think it's doable but pretty optimistic. You're going to have a qb making his first start against West Brook who should be the second most talented team in 21-6A next year. Then you get a PAM team with no Dauphine but a more experienced Harrison and a bigger, stronger, faster Kam Martin. If Central goes 3-0 to start the season they shouldn't have any problems 22-5A but IDK?

All I have to say is we've had kiddos xfer to Dayt in the past=good kids,lately a few have left,some have come back=I ain't mad I just want to find a qb w/leadership abilities,and someone that can fix run defense

I agree that the repetitions in 7's help with timing and continuity but that's all they do. Look at the top 10 5A programs in the region and tell me who's there?

No butthurtness here, sad though when 7-7 is the highlight of your season just like last year!  Good luck though when the pads start popping and the big uglies are in the trenches.
