If you would spend 5 minutes with Neuman you would understand why he was successful.   Motivativator.  Kids would run through a brick wall for him.  Plus he had Delbert Spell on defense and Monte on offense.  He knew what position the guys needed to be and when to press the button.  If it didn’t work well he’d pull some trick  play out of his pocket.

Barrow was calling the plays.

Something needs to happen because thread is going nowhere fast.  Let me just say one thing.  If you bring in the right AD/Coach the athletes will follow.  Then the fans.

Big Ned, when they get back in their prime will be the fast paced, complicated spread offense they used to be.  Write it down son.

I definitely think it sped it up.  You know. keeping up with the Jones.

Well good luck Monte wherever the road takes you.  A lot good memories.  I sorry it didn't work out in the end.  My highlight was watching you and your son together after upsetting big bad Pearland Dawson in 2012 at Reliant.

I understand.  Wasn’t familiar where everyone lives I guess.  It’s hard to put a finger on it.  But I don’t think it’s the culture.  The stars have to align to do what you guys have done the last couple of years.  First was the coaching change.  Then a right group of kids buying in to what this staff was selling.  Matching up   to their opponents.  Nederland just needs a similar string of events.  The culture is there we just needs to wake it up.

Hmmmm.  Well  my comments aren’t to the thread starter but to the ones who question the culture of Nederland.  If we had an equivalent coaching staff to PNG we would not be state contenders.

Wow.  Y’all won a state championship and everyone congratulated you.  Now it’s time to rub it in our faces.

Need to mention Oceguera, the kicker.  4 FG is a record.  Fantastic.  Would not have gotten the W without him.

I forgot the defense.  Holding all those D1 guys. The onside kick may have been the play of the game.  

Just finished watching the taped version.   Great game on all accounts.  Players coaches fans.  When I first started watching I said no way PNG can beat these guys.  Y’all hung in there.  Great calls and great plays by Nguyen and many others.  Congratulations PNG y’all won State SE Texas style.   Grit and Heart.  👍

Congratulations on the win.  Heck of game.  A few mental errors at the end but nothing major.  

Like I've been saying, keep eating what y'all been eating.  On the first play let them know they are playing a team from Southeast Texas and don't let up on the gas.  Make us proud Indians.  

Remarkable guy from a remarkable family.  He was a few years behind me at EC.  I knew he was destined to make a difference in this world.  He affected many young lives.  Winnie-Stowell area has lost a pillar of society.

Congratulations PNG.  Good balance attack.  What ever y’all are eating on game day keep eating it.

Sweat has gained a little weight since then.  Slowed down a hair.  Still bad though.

Defense wins championships.  I heard that somewhere before.

The superintendent and board members should know the pulse of the situation.  I believe they will either make the right decision or make no decision.  If there is a problem with the staff, they will pull the trigger.  If this is a phase of unmotivated kids, then we'll have to wait it out.  Someone needs to find that dang button.  Next year, I hope will come soon.
