Callaway7 got a reaction from KF89 in Bridge City 3 Hardin-Jefferson 2/FINAL
The only person responsible and can actually make the call is PL. He had a brain fart didn't setup in the right spot. On a tag you have to wait till the play finishes such as possible dropped ball. You're not immediately looking elsewhere on the first touch.

I'd say politics for football, fans are barely noticed. Baseball is no doubt fans. Natural disasters are horrible not borderline pitches called strikes.

So moral of the story thank god for officials cuz then who could you blame 10 runs ,errors, baserunning mistakes, strikes swinging, groundouts, flyouts, missed signs, and most importantly all the hits by the other team on.

I got interrupted there. The point is that for every athletic event there are at least two teams on the field and one set of officials. It is the responsibility of the schools to make sure that their fans behave in an acceptable manner and sometimes that means telling some of them that they are not the official and that they are not welcome at the game.
I have taken pictures and written stories at games for years and one of my goals has been to make sure I am not involved in what is happening on the field or court. If you work at it you get to be fairly good at doing just that.

A solemn thank you to those that have served and and sacrificed.
We will never forget you.

There's nothing like hassling an ump to make sure that every other call goes against you. I've never understood that logic. Does anybody seriously believe that an ump hunches over behind the plate and says to himself, "you know, that fan that's screaming at me is right. I need to make whatever changes are necessary to make sure this contest is called fairly. In fact, I owe that fan a call or two to make up for my mistakes."

Might've had him on the plate. But you have to have both feet completely in box at the time of the pitch.

Lol, Trump? You scoundrel. It wasn't a "logical explanation", but a "possible explanation". I was merely pointing out a possible scenario that some fans are unaware of. Though it rarely happens, once the ball is snapped, if any official blows his whistle, accidentally, or for the wrong reason, etc, the play is dead. Doesn't matter what is actually happening, everything stops there.
If coaches may use a trick play, they'll inform the Refs prior to the game to avoid this very scenario. You turn words around like Hillary

Callaway7 reacted to 86hawk in real play, what is the right call
I honestly didn't know the answer and assumed we would have some officials on the forum. What confused me most was the ball was blocked by the offensive player. When the punter punted, he punted right into the backside of one of his blockers. Ball goes straight up, punter catches and runs for the first down.
thanks again for the feedback.

Callaway7 got a reaction from walldrill in Question for the experts and zebras
It's a new rule and most high school officials have had about 30 days of live action to change how they react to that situation for years. That's what non district is for, for all involved to get it right for district. Also saw that play was correct call.

Callaway7 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in Question for the experts and zebras
Well the Houston crew y'all had should've had 7 guys so they should've been quicker. depends on the speed of the officials but also if ball goes out and the teams ball boys aren't paying attention or slow getting a new one in can hinder.

Callaway7 got a reaction from walldrill in Question for the experts and zebras
Based on where you line up on offense makes you either unrestricted or restricted on how you can cut block. The ref said he was trying to find out where he was pre snap. much like intentional grounding they get together to talk about whether a receiver was in the area or not. Sometimes it just looks ugly.

Callaway7 got a reaction from USC 35 in Kountze 37 Hull-Daisetta 36/FINAL
He can run around all he wants until the ball breaks the plane on the endzone it's a touchback. The rule is in place especially in turf fields where the ball can keep bouncing and rolling to not penalize the returner on mishandling a play. You'd be giving the kicking team a significant advantage.

Callaway7 reacted to JRidge in Goose Creek Memorial 3 Beaumont Ozen 2/Final
Ozen actually has some pretty good players on this team and has 6 starters returning with 4 other subs returning as well. They have several fast guys but really needs a coach who can help them correct their mistakes by knowing the game. Their HC retired after this game and the Panthers are looking for a experienced Head Baseball Coach to work with this group of sophomores and juniors. Good luck to Goose Creek during the playoffs! -

HF up 5 at half . If it wasn't for subbing taking seniors out who make one bad pass and leaving others in to make 6 or 7 turnovers in a row would be up 20. Since those seniors started 10-2 -

Callaway7 got a reaction from Cougar14.2 in Texas
Well hold on during renovations they put up a couple more titles and big 12 titles on the wall at new stadium. What got Mack brown fired was garret Gilbert he sold out on him and then had only at best a B- qb to follow up.
