Silsbee fans IMO practicing outside would be better for you guys since the game is going to be outside. Seems as though practicing outside would get the young men’s body use to the elements that they will face on game day. Back in 2013 (we) WOS fans were subjected to the same gasconade of how nice of a facility they have at Carthage which is good I’m not knocking that everybody isn’t able to afford those luxuries. Silsbee you guys have a team that has the capabilities to win it all. Put your foot in their mouth, while you kick the sheeeeeeeeeeet out of them Dogs. Go Tigers win this game.

i know that. The fan was responding to some things that have been said about Carthage fans on this post. That's why I made that statement. Anytime someone says Carthage will win yall say "why are we even playing the game? Give it to Carthage."
As for the get a grip part, how in the heck does a message board make you angry to a point you have to use exclamation marks (yelling)? You may need to get a grip yourself if a message board does this to you. All I've been on here is respectful.

The game will be played outside so it doesn't matter where they practice. Carthage will get a setx kick to the nuts from Silsbee! Tigers roll!!!
It definitely matters. Practice is very important and running a full practice is even more important. It's an advantage for sure. Not saying it's the end all be all in advantages but it is one.

But seriously this thread is out of control... Carthage fans declaring victory before the coin toss! Baising it off history. Stating our coaching staff is superior. Blah blah blah...
Then Silsbee fans calling out Carthage & asking crazy questions like do we still recruit athletes & give their parents jobs!!! Seriously!!! That is just poor sportsmanship.
I assume the majority of you posting are leveled headed adults; why can't you see the bigger picture? Both teams have 14-18 year old kids that have been working their butts off since August to get here. Anything can happen, anyone can win or get beat at this stage. Give glory to God each team is still playing, hope neither team leaves with anyone hurt, and every one has safe travels to & from the game. May each team play to the best of their ability & leave it all out there on the field.
Do not stereotype Carthage fans from a small sample group that post on a couple of message boards. This is what you need to know... We will travel near & far to back the Bulldogs. We can disagree with some of Suratt's play calling but no one else better. We are very respectful of who we are playing. We even respect Henderson & Kilgore even though we don't like them!!! (I'm kidding, I'm only kidding!!!) We vote YES, on EVERY bond; let me say this again; we vote YES, when it comes to bonds & our schools; it is just something we do! So when a person makes a statement like we are completely wrapped up in high school football; I'm not sure where that information is coming from... We are completely wrapped up in our kids; the kids of Panola County & CISD and making it the best place we can for them to go to school. I guess that makes us passionate about our kids. Get to know us; we really are nice folks from a small rural East Texas Town.
I'm just going to assume I'm one of the posters some are talking about. Well yes I declare a Carthage victory before the coin toss. That's what a prediction is, a declaration of victory for the team you pick. I find it comical that while others make their picks it's ok but as soon as a Carthage fan says that Carthage is better and they will win, it's all of a sudden disrespect. Silsbee is very good no doubt. That's why they are still in it but I think my team is better but for some reason that rubs people the wrong way. Can Silsbee win? Yes, but I just don't see it. One poster even said Carthage people live and die for football and I'm trying to figure out how he came to that conclusion. I guess that's the curse of success. Anytime you pick Carthage to win you're arrogant.

According to some of your fans from other sites and this one here, I have seen predictions from anywhere from Silsbee loses by 5 TD's all the way to "this game won't even be close"
superior athletes, superior coaches, 4 state titles...blah blah blah
this will be a tough game but I pick th dawgs by 14. They are just playing on another level now. Our defense played great last week. I only put 27 points on them. I pick Carthage bc in think Surrat will make better second half adjustments.

Are you offended? If so good!! May you arrogance be your downfall. Both schools deserve the same respect. Silsbee is no stepping stool. The fact is Silsbee kicked your but before. It's not like Carthage has won every meeting between these schools. That 1998 Tiger team was 6-4 heading into the playoffs.

Silsbee does deserve respect but not on the level of Carthage. The past 8 years we earned a different type of respect. Why are we talking about 98 again? Almost 20 yrs ago. Not offended. Hard to recognize tone online.

Carthage fans seem to live and die around high school sports which is sad. I'm sure there is more to life that amateur football. I'm a proud Silsbee Alumni and I cheer just as loud and proud as any other Silsbee fan. This is the most athletic Silsbee team since maybe 1988 or 1998. Carthage fans tend to forget that year they have taken a major beat down by Silsbee in the past. Www.12newsnow.com has some highlights from that game. I promise you, this isn't the same Silsbee team from 2 years ago. I'M, there is no better offense in 4A. Silsbee looks like a D1 team and moves like a track ream!
we live for hs school fottball? How did you come up with that? You know nothing about our personal lives. As for the 1998 team, I was on it and Silsbee was just better all around. Heck we didn't even make the playoffs until the last game of the season.

I'll definitely be back.I just honestly don't see Silsbee winning. They may but me the FAN doesn't see it. Our titles are not in the distant past. If we go all the way it will be 5 in 8 years. I admit I'm a Lil cocky but it's hard not to be. We've seen this same situation time after time.

Crazy I know but I think CH had a ton of injuries . Crazy thing is Brownsboro beat Henderson who is at home now bug would have matched up so better against Jasper and would have had a chance to win.

No offense..but a little bit of that arrogance has been earned. Carthage has won more state titles than BC has playoff games as of late. That doesn't mean anything now..but my point is that I feel that Carthage fans can probably be a little arrogant.
On that note..Carthage wins this one by 4 scores.
+1000. It's hard not to be arrogant when your team has a legit shot to win it almost every year. Keep in mind we are FANS. As a FAN i am underestimating BC. As a FAN I don't think BC has a chance. As a FAN I'm offended yall will even think this is close but I know Surratt is not arrogant about this game, the players are not underestimating you and that is what truly matters.

keep thinking that and like pepper brooks mentioned they will be bouncing baskets balls on Monday. imo, i don't think carthridge will be able to stop it. their only hope will be to contain it and limit our possessions. if they put 8,9 in the box, dubose will pass on that....good luck carthridge,
Like i've said before and I mean no disrespect at all. I truly don't see this game being close. We heard this talk with the Kilgore game and that one was over by halftime. When it comes down to it. Carthage doesn't have to play a perfect game to win but I feel that BC does. 2 out of the 3 teams that beat us are legitimate state contenders and if we played both of them again we'd probably win. If Carthage gets beat i have no problem eating crow and I will still post on the website b/c I'd love to see WOS finally get them one.
The other Carthage poster was right talking about the wing T. That offense will NEVER win state in class 4A again. JMO.

Honestly if I were Houston Scarborough I would spend the WHOLE season preparing for WOS. That way it'd be somewhat of a competitive game.

The coaching staff does. They've faced it over the years during their run. I remember Liberty Hill (they killed us with it) and Giddings running it a few years back. No disrespect but I just don't see this being close but who knows. What happened to the defense when district started? They've giving up a lot of points which is not good when going against an offense like Carthage.

Thats good to hear. BC defense has some problems so I'm sure Carthage will score at will. I just don't know how good Carthage is against the outdated slot T. I will say BC runs it the best I've seen in our Wing T county that we live in. Im most likely going to the game and if its not a problem ill sit on Carthage side.
Other than Kilgore, the dline has been pretty dominant in district. It will take a special oline to beat them at the line of scrimmage. It's all about matchups so you never know.

Dang no respect. I guess LCM did good last year by holding Carthage to 10 points. I think Carthage will win but expect closer game at least I would hope.
It's not a disrespect thing. Just an honest opinion from the poster. Last year's team that played LCM was extremely young. Freshmen and sophomore young. Now this team is more mature and should roll until they meet Navasota. We fans are expecting state rings in 2016 and 2017.
