Just going by the rule book. Section 350(a): This section mandates that the UIL establish conferences for "League contests" and assign member schools to districts. Because a school is assigned to a conference as a single entity, that assignment applies to all activities governed by that conference's district structure.

If you opt up, you have to opt up in all sports. That wouldn't be fair to the other sports. Plus, Carthage is D2 for a reason. Keep in mind, they won D1 their last year that AND they beat Kilgore earlier in the year.

Can't agree with you here. Our offense is too inconsistent holding on to the ball. We're good but our offense is in rebuilding mode.

The whole offensive line was out with covid. Had to use jv players.

Jasper's offensive coordinator may be the best defensive coordinator in the state.

I'm very curious to see how many long drives WO-S can put together against the Jasper D. I really don't care about the short field as I'm sure they will score at least 2 tds. If WO-S can consistently drive down field on the Jasper D, the Carthage game (if it happens, just got even more interesting)

Very hard. They catch a deep pass but then don't try it again.

Remember what i said in the Rusk thread about this loss looking bad b/c it was going to make Jasper fans upset with the coach? This is what I meant. If Jasper had an offense, we may be in trouble.

The ONLY way I see that happening is if Carthage turns the ball over on a very short field. If that happens multiple times, things will get interesting.

Yeah, I never pay to much attention to sub varsity for that reason. The best JV players are usually playing on Friday nights.

Hopefully we can put our worries away after this week b/c this is strongest defense we'll face the rest of the season.

This will be a measuring stick for the Carthage offense. I predict 14-0 or 7-0 and that's going to sting if it happens. If you guys had an offense to go with that defense, an upset wouldnt surprise me. I'd rather lose 30-0. If Carthage scores 30+, I will know our offense is for real. If not, we're still the favorite for state but may get upset if we run into a good defense and an offense who can score a couple of tds

I predict a Carthage win and this lost may look worse to Jasper fans than any other loss and its not for the reason you think.
