Judgement day has arrived. You have been found guilty of beating up on weak teams and do not say Crosby anything..... We were drunk that night---- you can't hold it against us. It's going to be a good night. On a serious note........ Congrats to Dayton for the #4 ranking. Don't let 19 4A down and SC. We will find out tonight if it's all hype or the real deal. I don't think your QB has really been hit up to this point. Tonight he will be hit.
Need to stay off the hooch then. That's two years in a row you've been drunk and 4 out of the last 5. Might need to go to Betty Ford Center. Y'all had 2 months worth of film on Dayton to prepare with. Dayton and Crosby have about equal athletes. BH has less talented athletes but are very disciplined and run a good scheme. Crosby's offense is about getting players in space and letting them do their thing. Dayton just wants to line up and out-athlete you, for instance throw bombs on man, run jet sweeps, try to break a bubble screen. If they can't loosen you by going over the top then they're most likely going to have trouble running it. BH, King, and Elkins were examples of that. BH has trouble whenever a coach can figure out how to put his players in space, that's why Crosby usually runs up the yards on y'all and thay's why Ozen put 40 on you last year in the playoffs. Summer Creek isn't Dayton. They're going to have bigger, faster, and more skilled athletes than the Broncos and all SC does is find a way to get in space to use their athletes on you. I know because y'all played Dayton close at home you think your team has greatly improved, but like Smoke told the Dayton fans "reality check is coming in about 8 hours".
You are correct that we have been beaten by Crosby and Ozen because we have not done well when we are spread out, or as you say, in space. However our defense is much improved with the changes that were made after the Crosby game. You are wrong in saying our offense is all Kaleb. Our offense is our offensive line, and other blockers which allows our backs to score. Unfortunately, in the Crosby game,  I felt like our offensive line got beat, which happens rarely. If we can block the SC "UBERlinemen", we will win the game. BTW, How did KP play Crosby so close?
Read hitman's post on the Crosby vs KP thread and you will see. They gave KP three turnovers, a td, and in the first half Crosby had like 9 or 10 penalties called to KP's 2 or 3. I never said Kaleb was your whole offense, he didn't really do anything on us besides score on a busted play. O'neal broke a 76 yarder when they lost him in a pile but his other 11 carries went for like 40 yards, I wasn't really impressed with either. You say your defense got better but it was you offense that killed you against Crosby, you had one sustained drive in the first half and scored 3 pts then got shut out in the second half once we adjusted. Crosby just lined up and beat you on both side of the line of scrimmage, see the 340 we had rushing. Y'all got a home game with Dayton and played them close, congratulations. Now you get the best team in the district and maybe the region.

Bh and sc have nothing to gain in this game. I am going to enjoy watching sc for the first time and I think bh will do fine without denny. Bh is about 90% run offense and tonight will be no different. Good luck to both teams and I hope each team stays injury free. One last comment. I think the weather benefits sc tonight. I saw bh 3 times this year and 2 of those games bh played well in bad weather.
According to y'all coach Gage...he said Tuesday Denny was not in a boot.....We know he will play, and we want him to play ;)
I don't think they will need him, like someone said they run 90% of the time, why take the risk?
He's their entire offense...him and #36.....that's why they lost to Dayton. The ONLY reason why :)
He's a good QB that runs that offense to perfection, but the offense they run can be run just as well with the backup. They just will not be able to run the play as well that fits the starting QB's talent. Hope SC don't go into game believing he's their entire offense. ???
He's actually a 3rd of the offense. Kaleb Denny is approaching 30 varsity starts as a junior. No disrespect to Gigout but he's not close to what Denny is.

But after seeing that 96 yard momentum killer on 3rd and forever, I can see how you'd feel like that.
Yeah, you're right, the 96 yarder on 3rd and 35 from the back of the endzone was the only thrown over 25 yards but on the 46 and 47 yard td passes Dayton still threw over the top of the D. Good coaching to exploit the matchup, that kid is still starting for us somehow and the backup #11 is clearly better but he's a sophomore I think.
Not too sure about that.  Whoever gets Georgetown in the second round is in for a fight.  When thinking of a nuetral sight between the Houston and Austin area, one main venue comes to mind.  ;) It could possibly be a show down at Cub Stadium.  ;D
I know it's worse in 5a but here's another one of my stats. Last two years in 5a Georgetown was 7-13, now they somehow make the 4a cutoff and start punishing people. Three largest shcools in the region Summer Creek, Georgetown, and Dawson are all undefeated and have over 2000 kids.
Last year is done though.  It's like me saying Brenham is a top team in the state.  We were the past few years, but kids graduate.  Georgetown is pretty darn good this year.
None of Dawson's kids graduate, hard for them to lose a game in 4a? The last 5 years Travis won state in 4a none of their players graduated? Manvel didn't have an advantage on Dayton last year? If coaching is relatively equal those 6 or 700 extra kids make a big difference. Brenham does have good talent, my cousin told me Brown is already the third best tackle on the team as a true freshman. Even though he was rated second I thought he was the best d-tackle in the country after watching him at the All-America game. Let's be honest though, Brenham gets a big advantage with the district y'all play in and you always go D2. Only two team you have to worry about on the schedule most years are Huntsville and Montgomery. I think if y'all played down here that record wouldn't look so pristine.
I don't see why Central winning would be considered an upset, unless it is just what has happened in the last few weeks. I feel like the Bears winning and finally making the playoffs again would be considered an upset. I do believe the Bears have a good chance to win this one, but the old x factor is always lurking close by in every game. Go Bears, it will be great to see LC-M back in the play offs. After Central, we have to sink the mighty Black Pearl at Bear stadium......Joking Vidor fans, just joking, lol.
So is this really a 4th place game or can something else happen? Both of these teams are going to lose next week but will that have any effect on who makes it? Also, since we can't play Central, is it too early to start the LCM vs Crosby ish talking?

I think you should tell Aaron Sharp that they held the high flying Dayton offense to 143 yards total and he should expect the same. They are going to play you tight with their qb out due to the fact they have improved immensly by playing Dayton close. You won't be able to throw on BH because Dayton only had 42 passing yards. If you beat BH by more than 20 it doesn't matter because you haven't been tested. It is exponentially harder to stop the dive play than the twins. Dayton allowed less than 100 rushing yards to Humble and Porter, then next two teams on Crosby's schedule so if you beat BH Dayton's defense is "really salty" even though the allowed more yards than the Eagles. Last but not least, Jerry Stewart is the "split's" homeboy. Feel free to tack on it I left somethin out. . . . . BH does get a playoff win this year though.
Your just still mad cause the Broncos stampeded your kitties and threw um under the bus. And we all know your Cougar14. And Crosby admins are mad cause the new high expectation defensive coach from Sulfur Springs who went with the head coach to state in 2008, did't do his job by beating the broncos, like he was suppose to. And we all know that your jealous, cause Crosby don't have a tradition like Dayton does. And that you really wanna wear purple.. but PNG told you NO, and Dayton wouldn't hear of it. And the only reason why your sucking up to BH is because your kitties beat them AGAIN! So you feel superior to them.. I am sure I left some things out so feel free to tack on whatever it is..
We got the offensive coordinator from Sulpher Springs, not the defensive coach. The new superintendent is an ex-college football player so he's always annoyed about losses. I also think Dayton fans are ignorant to think if Denny didn't get banged up BH wouldn't have scored more points on your "salty" defense. Port-Neches, Newton, and West Orange are the ones with the tradition July, you have the exact same amount of state championship appearances as Crosby. Going D2 and going to the third round all the time isn't an amazing accomplishment, Crosby is going to do it this year and we suck. I also hate purple, I just made my son throw away his Laker jersey. We beat Port-Neches last year by the way and Dayton sucks, that should about cover the violet thing.
I know its no big deal to Crosby but this will be Daytons 17th year in a row to make the playoffs. Crosby's only tradition is getting beat and beat bad by Dayton. Again, I understand your angst, you never beat Dayton as Cougar. All you ever did was suffer the humiliation of getting beat time and again by sucky old Dayton. Thus the strong dislike(hate) for the color purple. BH 16 SC 14
I played Dayton three times. Hammered them once, lost two close ones. Had 170+ yards on Dayton senior year on my way to leading the district in rushing ypg. No fear over here in Harris County, you can save that for BH or 20-4a. Y'all had a big advantage with Stewart over guys like Dickey and Flannigan. You started off the Riordan era with a win but like May said "that's not going to be acceptable to our admins." Good luck in the SC game though, I think your salty defense can hold them under 50.
so..... are you Johnny Freeman?
Nah, Freeman is the athletic director at the middle school. I'm the one that was on the front of the Sun with your safety diving after me while I broke a 75 yarder to tie the game back up.
Mom is that you?
Nope, she's a senior executive at Gazprom.
That's pretty sad Central is 2-6 and still a viable playoff option in 20-4a. KP is going to be 6-4 but wouldn't make the playoffs in 20-4a? Humble and King are 2-6 in a harder district and everyone thinks they're trash so what does that say when a 3-7 team in a weaker discrict can make the playoffs?

Talking about Freeman makes me remember an insignificant story though. When I was on my recruiting trip at UH we watched them play SMU with Freeman. My guide played at Crosby and started for UH at d-end, Kendrick Goss. A guy named Bradley Peveto was recruiting me to play DB and was asking me if I think I could cover the SMU guys. I said I could probably cover everybody accept Jonnhy Freeman. He said "well, you must not have much confidence because he's not very good." Freeman then proceeded to scortch UH for two long td bombs and 100 something yards receiving. After the game Coach Peveto asked me how I knew he would do that. . . . in typical Cougar fashion I said "because he went to Crosby." Freeman is the head coach for the 8th graders (just lost to Dayton last night, I think the 7th won 40-0 though) and the a.d. at the middle school so you can verify that if you need to.

It will also be the best defense SC has seen to date, just refer to all those stats ya'll like to post. I'm not saying that SC doesn't have a good defense, but we haven't faced them yet. SC will not score on BH or Dayton like they have on the other teams in this district. As for as the above post, well what would you expect from somebody who probably never beat Dayton in football his whole HS career. If he did it was once and he got throttled every other time. I would understand why you don't care for Coach Stewart either, he owns Crosby.
That Elkins D must have gotten a lot worse than since they played Dayton. Their 4-4 right now and haven't stopped anybody except Dayton.
All 4 of Elkins losses by teams that would kill Crosby.
So you made a stupid comment about Elkins having a great defense but when I told you Dayton was the only team they stopped you say "the teams they lost to would kill Crosby". Huh? I can tell you Crosby killed BH so why couldn't you. . . . . oh yeah I forgot, their defense got salty.

 24.
Agree with Bronco1, SC will face the best two defenses they have seen in the next two games. BH will not be as potent on Offense for this game, but Dayton should play SC better overall than BH will IMO. I still see SC as the favorite to win out and go undefeated in District, but anything can happen. Also for all of those saying BH will win a playoff game this year...... could you please stop building the jinx so early ;)
Dayton defense: KP 341 yards - CE King 302 yards  - Crosby 481. Crosby defense: KP 246  CE King 145  Dayton 438 (most allowed). Crosby leading the district in total defense and going to expand that lead with Humble and Porter coming up. The BH defense is better than Dayton but niether is anything to brag about. Dayton fans talk about Crosby riding BH now, what are y'all doing? BH had film on Dayton throwing those bombs so they played to stop it. When Crosby played Dayton they barely had 600 yards of total offense, we had no idea you could even move the ball much less have an effective passing game. I bet if Crosby had film of Dayton doing that our D would have been the best Dayton has seen, and no way you were going to hold us to 100 something yards. Dayton fans talking about how good BH is now, boy what will they say when it's 42-14? I can almost gaurantee it won't still be "BH has the best defense Dayton has faced", it's going to be more like "the BH game was a fluke, Dayton will be their first real test".
