crosby not making it past 1st round, along with big sis barbie's hill. ;)
Better hope LCM rb can get 250 and 4 tds. Crosby isn't going to look like that often, 118 penalty yards and 3 turnovers. Just like you say "how did they beat BH", you'll say "how did KP hang with these boys?". Kind of just what we are, you just happened to catch us on an off night. Look at the setx statistics, nothing fraud or questionable about it. We've already played Dayton, SC, BH, and Ned and have those stats. KP had 341 total yards just like Dayton did when they played. It's all good though, looking forward to being 7-3 going in as the underdog to a 5-5 LCM. -

Porter/ Caney still have a long way to go.
Now your pushing it.... Lol. IMO, Brenham, Montgomery, Huntsville, Magnolia West & Waller are all better than KP or CE King. Which BTW, I've seen all of these teams play, except King. That would put them at 5 & 6.
First of all Willis won some games over there. They're worse than Porter or Humble. Second we scrimmaged Magnolia West and ran up and down the field on them with ease. I think maybe they got two first downs, MAYBE. They would be battling Humble for 7th right now.
I can't let this go. I realize that Crosby steamrolled Willis this year, but comparing Willis to Porter or Humble is absurd. Willis is not a playoff team, yet they would beat both of those teams by 35-40 points easily. You can't compare game results and declare a winner of a game that hasn't been played. Crosby beats Willis by 50 and beats KP by 1. So, therefore KP will beat Willis by 49. No way.
EXACTLY! That's what I'm telling Brenham guy. We had a close win on the road to a team playing for their season and we're frauds all of a sudden. Boy, 20-4a is going to feel all of this. . . .
You already got some 20-4A, you want some more? :)
Sure do! Vidor got us last year but usually win those. Come on man, you should know all about that, we knocked out Ned twice recently. -

Even with two losses to Humble and Porter, Crosby would have the tie-breaker over Kingwood Park because both teams would finish 4-4 in district. Also, BH can still get 3rd place over Crosby with a win over Dayton or SC. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this.
Crosby did not clinch last night. They still need another win.
How do we need another one? KP can only end up with 4 district wins and we beat them head to head. King can get 4 wins but we beat them too. Explain, or is this once again an example of you not knowing what you're talking about? -

That was those kids season and they showed up. I'm sure Crosby had a little "we're already in mentality" and didn't give complete respect to the opponent. We save the virtuoso performances for the playoffs like Phillip Beck's 320 on Davis.
That's the equivalent of me calling Waller tough. KP isn't even a playoff team, and this is in a time when half the teams make it.
Look on hudl at Austin Walter highlights on Magnolia West, they suck but are going to the playoffs in 18-4a, struggled with Willis. I keep referring to Willis because they're the only common opponent. We beat them by 50 and y'all beat them by 38 since you like to compare scores, probably should have beat them by 60 though. I think we only have that one loss to Montgomery at GPISD when Leroy Dobbins scored 6 tds on nearly 40 carries as far as the northern districts go. -
Regions toughest district? Wow lol. You get a scare from an average kp team and all of a sudden it's cuz Crosby is in the "worlds toughest district". What happened to "this should get early quick"? Well it was ugly at first but for the wrong team lol. Rookies..... Smh ::)
Only district close to being as tough in the region is 24-4a. Give me one tougher, you can make an argument for 17 but they're only two deep like 20. So yeah, 19-4a the toughest district in region 3 for the 2012 football season. Can't blame you for trying though, you've already showed before you don't know what you're talking about when you try to dispute something I say. -

If I remember correctly Huntsville beat your magnificent Humble by 4+ TD's. (That's putting it nicely, but then again, Humble isn't much) That same Huntsville team needed a last second TD to get by MW. BTW, this happened in a REAL game, and not some glorified practice. Willis is better than Humble too, and Porter? That's a joke right? In fact, our top 2 are as good as your big bad ranked teams, and this is a "down year". Trust me... 18-4A will be ready, so you just make sure you have those twins prepared, your Coogs arn't going D1 this year, so you might just be collateral damage if y'all get in our way. I'm not sure why Vidor thinks D2 is so much easier, cuz it's not... Anyways, enough chatter about who beat who. It's almost November, and that means real football is about to begin! See y'all soon!
KP pre-distict beat Graves (maybe not the correct name) but the same team that beat Angleton.
There you go Hawk, George Ranch was the team. Crosby beat Willis by 50 and had 605 total yards on them. Crosby is better than any team in 18-4a that can't/didn't do that to Willis according to Brenham guy. 18-4a should be a layup for us. -
19-4A wins 3/4, maybe even a sweep.
Who you got in the Crosby vs LCM game? KP won their district last year and would be fighting for second place with Vidor in 20-4a. It's real over here and that was just an example. Crosby did what they had to do in game where they played sloppy. Wouldn't beat Dayton, SC, or BH playing like that but it is what it is.
LCM is a BETTER football team than Crosby. Played both of em and it's decidedly so.
One thing for sure is LCM is battle tested. WOS. Silsbee, and Coldspring is a tough non-district schedule. Those are top rated 3a schools in this area. It's amazing when you look at how many times they've scored 35 points. I just found that odd.
Really, 3a schools. Is that tougher than #6 Nederland (ap), #6 Dayton (ap), #6 SC in one poll, and 6-1 Barbers Hill. Y'all are sleeping on 19-4a over here. Crosby going to go 7-3 in the hardest district in the region, and we didn't get no frkn Nuevo Leon to practice on.
The top 4 are good, but its not even close if you are going top to bottom. The bottom is extremely weak.
Top 6 are good. King and KP get four losses on their schedule having to play Crosby,BH,SC, and Dayton. North Forest was in our district last year getting pummeled, now they're dominating a couple of districts over. KP is a good team, they play like Vidor, Crosby had 4 first half possessions. Kids were discipline and didn't turn it over which is why they won their district last year. Hopefully we get LCM in Harris County somewhere, we seem not to play well n any others besides Chambers.
KP is far from good. They are about average at best. Did you see them play BH? It was sad.... As for North Forest, you are aware that they play in one of the easiest districts in the state right? NF is about where they should be. In fact they will even win a playoff game this year, but only cuz they play another extremely easy district in the first round. (Then it's back to reality)
Did you see Crosby play BH? Every team doesn't play their best every game. As for NF you're right but look at KP's pre-district, nothing overly impressive but they're legit. They'll end up 6-4 in the region's toughest district and miss the playoffs . . . That's real for 19-4a and it's a 9-teamer at that. And btw, didn't KP win the same district you're in now? -
No you wouldn't. If so you would've said the same thing about Crosby in the Vidor game last year. If you came to this one you would see Crosby drove the ball right down the field after the opening kick to the 3 yard line, got a 10 yard penalty then took it to the 1 yard line, got another 10 then 5 yard penalty and kicked a fg. They said Aston fumbled inside the 20 when his knee was down and they showed it on the replay screen (at least once they did), KP scored. They said our player touched a punt and KP recovered. Replay shows he didn't though. The td they gave KP one their opening drive of the second half the kid fell out of the endzone and was laying on the ground, the nearest ref signaled incomplete but the umpire came running in and overruled for the td. The KP fans all said "augh", then the ref by the play got overruled and they started cheering. I bet Crosby had over 150 yards in penalties, most of which were extremely questionable. KP got 4 timeouts at the end of the game too, the sidejudge from Crosby's side came running on the field with 3 fingers up when KP called a timeout but the referee held up 2 and waved him off. They tried to give them the game but their kicker missed field goals, ours made his. -

INSTANT CLASSIC. . . . . . Glad I don't have any ulcers because they would have just bursted. Typical Crosby, explosive athletes and plays but can't play clean. -
I'll put the Crosby vs KP scores on this thread since I don't see a thread for updates.

I'm not sure what the 7th grade record is but they have several fine looking athletes. 8th grade lost one game 6-0 to NS but have two freaks that will play big time D1 football. Freshman team has some awesome athletes but no qb. JV is very good but jv's are usually the least relevant 'cause the sophs. that play varsity usually don't play jv. Crosby is poised to start pumping a lot more kids into the noteworthy collegiate programs with this passing attack. We've always had great athletes but now we have an offense to showcase them. It's already starting with Raelon Singleton and Justin Walter. Raelon didn't play last year 'cause of Flannigan, and Justin was playing DB.

That's a lot of experience and size to replace in that defense. Not to mention there starting qb.
You should be worrying about replacing YOUR starting qb. He accounts for over half of y'alls offense. That kid covers up a lot of y'alls weaknesses with his ability to keep the offense on the field 3 or 4 yards at a time. After he graduates it's a lot more likely Vidor goes back to struggling to make the playoffs vs competing for district championships. Based on this year's stats so far Crosby has the best set of returning skill players in the district and I won't even make predictions like that. Coogs are going to return over 4,000 yards of offense and 8 of 11 starters, but I guess when you play in a district where 2-5 Central is still in it that's not that far of a reach.
The larger classification of the school, the less impact of size disparity within the class. Imagine this, you add one extreme athlete to a 1A team. Likely, that 1A team is instantly transformed from a 5-5 team to maybe a 9-1 team. Add that same guy to a 5A team and he certainly helps, but would not push them from 5-5 to 9-1. In fact he probably just blends in well. Most all 5A have plenty of talent and depth, so increased enrollment helps some but not tremendously. Some 1A and 2A teams struggle just to put 11 good players on the field at one time, and they certainly lack depth. Any increase in in enrollment in the smaller ranks "counts" more.
I see where you're trying to go with it and it's a valid point, but if Glenn Roberts played for Hardin they wouldn't be 6-1 right now. There's one of him in that entire 2a district. Does a single player make a bigger difference in the smaller classifications, of course but how likely are you to find him out of 25 other kids to choose from? Either way you have a point but I was talking about it more on the front end and the initial player pools. A school with 400 to choose from vs a school 215 to choose from has a bigger advantage over a school with 90 to choose from vs 50. -

They are in the upper 900's and schools all over 3A and in their own district like Shepherd, Coldspring, and Tarkington are sitting with 400 or so less students than them.
I am not from either school........ and Shepherd, coldspring and tarkington do not have 400 or less... that would put them in 2A(435 i think is the number)... all three of these teams have 534+ while Huffman and Splendora have 962-. yes that is 400 students... I see the difference but 534(shepherd)-962(huffman) is not that big of a difference in 3A. Kirbyville went 3 rounds deep several times with 442 in 3A and to the state game twice in 2A with 332. but putting them in a district that has 1700-1800 kids is a big difference... maybe with UIL making 6 divisions would even thing up a bit.... Lets hope... I get tired of seeing small schools get their tail whipped on friday nights...
I'm not saying that smaller schools cant win, the Trojans just put it on the Falcons, but year in and year out with respect to reloading a team those numbers do make a difference. 970 kids (probably over 1000 now the way those areas are growing) vs. 450-500 kids can hardly be viewed as not making a difference.
It does make a lot of difference in 3a, but not as much as 4 or 5a. A school with 500 kids probably makes a football team from about a 50 kid pool (10%). You almost double the enrollment there and get another 45 kids to choose from. If 3 of your elite players get hurt at the 950 school you have 45 more to choose from than the 500 school. Now take a 4a with 1150 kids against a 4a with 2050 kids. The 1150 school starts with a pool of 115 kids, the 2050 school starts with 205. The nearly 100 extra kid advantage the large 4a possess is a bigger advantage than the large 3a due to the fact the 4a has greater percentage chances of finding high level/elite replacement talent as to not hurt the team. 5a is ridiculous, 2250 school with a 225 player pool against a 4500 school with a 450 pool. Those schools literally have double the talent other 5a schools have and injuries don't really effect them that much. I don't think it's a coincedence NS, Allen, Skyline, Westfield, and other schools with those 4000+ enrollments are almost always conteders.
